Watching the Gemini deck play was so cool. I remember seeing these cards in my collection as a kid and wanting to build a deck around them. Seeing them played at a competitive level is so amazing. Makes me really want to build the deck myself.
I have played so many games of it. A couple warning though: its not cheap. Brutdrago and soldier have a single print each. It's not easy. You have to play almost perfectly at all times. Also offering has a lot of niche rulings

Something very interesting i've noticed is that some Blackwing decks DO HAVE a heavier focus on Vayu. A good reason for this is Shura can allow that monster to become a tuner, and catastor is actually quite difficult to deal with for most decks so it can be worth the garnets.

I love that Brutdrago ruling because it's the same for Scrap Dragon and I used that bad boy alllllllll the time. I'd have to explain to people why their solemn warning doesn't really do as much as they thought it would.
I appreciate that Gemini deck. I still play a Gigaplant deck on Master Duel. The support they gave Gemini over the years is as insane as it is short-sighted. Gemini, Union, Spirit, LV, etc. The problem with all of these was never that the mechanics were bad. It was that at the time of their release the limited summons and abundance of cheap removal made them undesirable, combined with them individually being worse than every half-playable card that was legal at the time of their release. Big sell to expect people to jump through extra hoops and summons for a payoff less than what they could play without the extra work and costs. You see now historically unplayable mechanics like Fusion, Ritual, and even some Normal Monsters in top tier decks because they figured out how to mitigate the downsides of the mechanics while also actually making pay-offs that are worthwhile.
For those of you who want a ludicrous combo-like deck for Edison, perhaps try Tuningware Turbo. This is a deck that uses Tuningware and Darksea Rescue in conjunction with Machine Dupe, Inferno Reckless Summon, Junk Synchron, Debris Dragon, and Quickdraw Synchron to draw assloads of cards. If you want, you can run De-Synchro to extend your card drawing fun. And why not run Pot of Avarice to make use of additional copies of Dupe and IRS? It’s ridiculous and not very good, but when it goes off, boy is it a spectacle.
Tbh I'd definitely like having more videos about retro format decks. The biggest thing keeping me from going into any retro format is not knowing what decks are even considered playable. For example, I really like Lavals and since Edison is a popular synchro format I was thinking I could try them there. Except that they weren't even released at that point. Now when I look at top Edison decks I can see that Lightsworn, Zombie, and Flamvell are there so there's stuff I like, but when thinking of other older formats I have no idea what's playable when or where it'd fare best. I don't know if it'd be viable to do a TMT series for each (major) retro format, but I think something like that would definitely be good for the community.
That intro was quite something, hope jillian didn't hit her head to hard. Love to see some edison content suited for people who arent experienced in the format yet. I tried to look up some E3YGO stuff but it was really hard to understand as a non-edison player.
