I absolutely LOVE this. You only see a snippet of this film, where Gladys and Vernon are throwing snowballs at whoever is filming. It's SO nice to see the whole film.!! Sure takes you back to see things in Elvis' eyes, as he was at age (almost) 22. Unreal.
A beautiful time capsule. So different to see the property before residences and businesses were built up around it. Nothing but woods across the highway in front of Graceland. No wonder they fell in love with the place. Fun to see Elvis’ folks - Gladys playfully tossing snowballs at the person running the camera.
I love how Vernon & Gladys were eating the fresh snow and enjoyed seeing all of the animals on the property.
I'm so glad Gladys got to spend some time at Graceland. She was a good mom , loved Elvis so much n he loved her. I remember when Gladys said they needed farm animals. I loved this film n thank u you for posting

So touching to see Elvis's parents in front of that beautiful mansion when just a few years earlier - they lived in poverty. What an amazing journey. I often wonder how different Elvis's life might have been - had his mama lived longer.

It's hard to believe how many times the videos about Elvis are shown it's hard to comprehend the reasoning behind it. At least his x wife is not yaking in this one. Hope one day Elvis will be allowed to rest. God love him

@christine kuntz He WAS there in early January didn't leave for King Creole till middle of month...it all depends now on when the snow fell in January

Why in B&W??? This was from the '50's... Of course home videos would be in B&W, if you cant afford color film.

No. ELVIS WAS MAKING KING CREOLE AND ASKED FOR SOMEONE THERE AT GRACELAND TO FILM THIS FOR HIM WHEN HE TOOK A BREAK FROM FILMING.
