    Such lovely artwork. And you have such a warm and bubbly personality. I can see it would be fun to see you at an art fair. So much nicer than the snooty artists that I have met that think they are all that and more. I am happy for you! 😊

    there are so many pareidolia faces in my stuff and things that can be interpreted as one way or another. would love to do an art fair and watch people wrestle with it on the inside. just ordered a digital camera and tripod (prime day!) to start taking photos of my work. have about 30 i want to get prints of, then a bunch of smallies i could do as fridge magnets or something. oceanside, ca luckily has a first friday art walk, but also a street festival every thursday. really going to try and make this work. can't afford to get an epson 900 or whatever it was, will need to get prints online and work up to that. excited! thanks for the encouragement.

    I so appreciate that you're as transparent about money as you are about set-up, printing, painting, etc. I just started doing fairs and feel a bit overwhelmed by the logistics. In another video, you mentioned driving up to eight hours to sell at fairs and here you mention hiring help, something I may need too. If this is too intrusive a question then please ignore it, but how exactly do you make a good profit between the fair registration fees, hotels, gas, food and hiring help? It seems like the odds are stacked!

      I’ve had to get really good at picking the right shows so that way I know I will be able to sell enough to pay for all of the costs that you mentioned like hotel, hiring help, inventory, etc. once I figured out where my art fit in the market, where I could sell the most, it was all good. I also had to make sure I had a product/artwork That was the right fit for people who I was trying to sell to. I think about this more and try to make a video in the future about this. It’s a lot to try to comment 🎨

    do you think its better to go to a art fair with art prints on canvas's( more expensive to make ) or just paper prints?

    • @KrystleColeArt
      @KrystleColeArt  Месяц назад +1

      Well, you probably need both. You need some canvases for the walls, and paper prints for the print bins. By far, people will purchase the paper prints more than the canvas prints if they look good and are a good price.

      Oh, that's not so good, keep your chin up though. Don't let it stop you, just take it as fuel to learn and grow for the next show!

      @@KrystleColeArt yeah definitely kicked me down it took me 6 minth to start painting again after that, and convincing myself that it doesnt make me less of an artist was just not the right crowd for my type of art I guess
