Well that could be that standard contract when they were touring as poison, maybe bret made 13 mill back then too but he did do rock of love I , 2 and 3 so he is high profile. I like some of his music, and how seemingly level-headed he is, but when I watched him on Rock of Love he was very insecure, and too old for the meaningless bus hook-ups, which actually scared off a couple of the contestants when they realized he wore a hair piece, and that he is a diabetic. I understand ego and being shallow, but you'd think with all the years under his belt, so to speak, he would have acquired more class and poise.
