The way he snuck that 'sic semper tyrannis' in immediately was such a testament to 1. How intelligent and hilarious this man is. 2. How much of a slower speed this audience was operating on than him

PFT is the late night host we need.
1. He understands the art of making anyone seem interesting. (watch speakeasy)
2. People have been craving a more intelligent type of host in USA
3. He's got the dress down. Goddamn.
Are the crowd asleep? This is one of the quietest segments I've ever heard, which is ridiculous, because Paul is a great comedian.
Late night audiences are notoriously dense. Also you're comment is 7 years old. Boy do I have some things to tell you.

My favorite thing about Paul, having found him through podcasts, is that he looks EXACTLY how you'd imagine.
Wow, I did not know Paul was Conan famous. Good for him!
So if you don't know, PFT is one of the greatest improv comedians of all time. He is a genius, a titan. Listen to any of the podcasts he is on; I particularly recommend Comedy Bang Bang. It is impossible to overstate how clever and quick and funny he is. He's a legend and if you want to laugh for hours and hours, you're welcome.
Highly, highly recommend Threedom. PFT usually does characters on CBB, and they are brilliant. Threedom just has Lauren Lapkus, Scott Aukerman and PFT talking about random things and making themselves laugh. PFT is as sharp and and as fast a comedian you could want. All three of them are, really.

One of my biggest regrets in life is discovering Paul F Tompkins comedy so late, which was shortly after this interview. He is a so God damn good I don't understand how he could have gone under my radar for so long.
This guy is eccentric, but with funny intellectual humor.
