If you ever read the book, she young beautiful but have that cold look, Liu here is beautiful but doesn’t have that coldness. I liked that version first, as it had the same actors from Athena and Julian's Legend of the condor heroes, for characters like Ou Yang Feng and Qi Gong. Carmen Lee does look cold, but I also do think Liu Yi Fei looks really cold to everyone else except Yang Guo.

I grow up watching the 80s 90s then newer Cantonese version then the new mandarin version but this one not sure when its made and am already got bored maybe this from like 70s version or make to look like a old version movie its Bad ...Fast forward it find out this like over 20s hours make into a 2hrs quick version oh I was wrong still more but am not going to watch it....this mandarin version not any better from last one I watched this one missing abit here and they not like full version its cut too much from the beginning not like original

This was released in 2006 . So yeah the quality of cinematography can't be compared to recent technology. Regardless it's an iconic series.
