I love how the majority of your top reads were ones picked by Ian haha! For real though, it's cool to see this other side of reading beyond rom coms and booktok picks

Woah out of all the books I've witnessed you reading this past year that number one spot was a total surprise you've kept your love of Pet Semetary pretty under wraps. I loved Pet Semetary when I read it a number of years ago, Stephen Kings storytelling in this book is just amazing. The horror elements are done fantastically and amp up so well and that ending was perfection!! Specifically the last sentence 😗👌 I loved this and love to see how you and Ian booktube together, it's perfect love watching you both and have a great 2025!! x
I've read most of your top ten. King's Billy Summers actually made me shed a tear at the end. The secret history is a modern day classic, so intelligently written.
A book I was so surprised about that I think you would actually enjoy was Spinning Silver. What I expected from this story was SO different than what I got. Such a great story!! One of my top favorite I read in 2024. (Pet Semetery is up there too, my first King book, and I only read it because you liked it! Ha, I was too scared to try, so glad I trusted you! ❤
Happy New Year to you both! Pet Semetary was also my top book of the year and also my first Stephen King read. I've moved onto 11 22 63 now and will defiantly take me a while haha I can't wait to see what the new year brings for your channel x

I need to give Recursion another try. I was listening to the audiobook, but only when I was at work, which was sporadic at the time, which made the book feel disjointed. I loved Dark Matter and want to love Recursion too!
4 of my 10 best I read bc of u and Ian's book swap type videos! -1.22.63 -Dark Matter -Red Rising -Lovely War Something about hearing your thoughts on each other's favorites was what convinced me.
My top books of the year were the prison healer trilogy, just for the summer, a lady's guide to fortune hunting, things you save in a fire, what you wish for, and the lost bookshop
My favorite historical fiction is all the light we cannot see. I LOVE these characters more than anything. The heartbreak you feel has stuck with me for the last 10 years
1-8: Anne of Green Gables Series. Cute fun books. 9-12: Mayfield Family Saga. Cute love stories that end the way you want. Sorry know it’s more than 10 books but these two series are cute and light reads and I think you would like both.
I can feel you when you said the characters in "The Prince of Tides" was like family. You should also read "Once Upon A Broken Heart." I am reading it and it is so good!
Awesome! I’m reading pet sematary right now. I thought it was starting kinda slow, but at around page 100 it really picked up and I started enjoying it a lot. Cheers!
So excited to see The Maidens on here! I actually liked it more than The Silent Patient, but I never hear people talk about this Alex Michaelides book 🤯 The plot twist is actually INSANE and the dark academia vibes are immaculate
I did a video on my top ten… but here it is. 10: Murder on the Orient Express 9: Three Musketeers 8: Enders Game 7: Poetry of Lucy Maud Montgomery 6: Yumi and the Nightmare Painter 5: The Blythes are Quoted 4: Mistborn 3: Seabiscuit 2: Lightbringer 1: Rhythm of War

Hope everyone has a Happy New Year!!
I loved The Maiden’s thanks to your videos ❤ I also loved Red Rising 1-3 and I read book 4 and 5 but idk if I am going to continue with this series because the first 3 ended so beautifully that I just don’t like where the series goes after book 3. I got fable but I never really used Goodreads so I have no reading wrap up and I am frustrated trying to add all the books that I read in 2024 from my list in the Libby app. Also thanks to you and Ian, I am reading The Lovely War and I am loving go it and so far I think that it was that cover that was keeping me from reading it because I am not a fan of that cover.

The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah was the best book I read in 2024! It was so good. I’m in a big book hangover because of it. if you haven’t read it, please do.
I found Lovely War as well as Blake Crouch through yours and Ians videos, and I definitely trust your taste! I have to say for anyone interested though that Lovely War is NOT just a romance. A huge proportion is about racial injustice within the US army, which took me by surprise but to me thats a selling point! The black characters are also based on people that actually existed, and reading about their real lives afterwards made the book that bit more heart breaking.
If you want a beautifully written tragic story I highly recommend The Warsaw Sisters by Amanda Barratt, it was so good and I can't rave about it enough!
Hi Ashlyn I love your videos! I have a book to suggest. It is called The Healers Apprentice. The romance is so cute. The main character, Rose falls in love with one of the duke's sons after he comes injured. The dukes son falls in love with her too, but he is betrothed to another woman. And there is someone who is after Rose. I read the book in a day I couldn't put it down.
You need to read Misery by Steven King! I read Pet Semetary and loved it and now I'm in the middle of 11/22/63. So far 11/22/63 is amazinggg. Billy Summers is definitely next on my list.
My top 10 books in no particular order are: Academy of Villains by Ever King, The Rose Bargain by Sasha Peyton Smith (I got an ARC for this), Assistant to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer, Morning Star by Pierce Brown, Icon and Inferno by Marie Lu, A Million Junes by Emily Henry, Skyward by Brandon Sanderson, When in Rome by Sarah Adams, and Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. There were so many I almost couldn’t choose.
I really only read 3 books this year (started more but got overwhelmed lol) and they were Play Dead by Ted Dekker, Heartless Hunter by Kristen Ciccarelli, and Before the Coffee Gets Cold by Toshikazu Kawaguchi. I highly recommend Ted Dekker. He’s a great Christian author who writes thrillers and mystery as well as some fantasy books and he’s so good at writing
Great list! Lovely War was on my top 10 when I read it in 2022, so so good. I really want to read your sci-fi picks even though I’m not a big sci-fi reader! hey! one thing i've been thinking about; knowing Jesus is reading the bible but also reading books too- would love to know more about your balance etc
if more people read the ebook Magnetic Aura by Takeshi Mizuki, the way we understand attraction would transform overnight
A book I would suggest that you might like kind of like the invisible life of addie LaRue is A Short Walk Through a Wild world by Douglas Westerbeke. It was such a fun book and so diffrent than what I expected. It would be number 11 on my top 10 list.
I dont have a top 10, only a top 5. 😅 And here are my Five faves:
