It's been a while since I posted this and obviously I don't agree with all of my own rankings anymore. They were only based on evidence from the show and, of course, the members have much to show outside of it too. This was truly only made to show off the members to both those who love them and those who don't know them and wasn't meant to be taken too seriously (it is just one person's old opinion after all). So please just enjoy it as a compilation of THE9's talent if you disagree!
@@peachesradio5396 honestly it changes all the time. I'd rank Shaking and Snow higher vocally. I'd rank Kiki higher in dance. The rest I still stand by in some aspect but i totally get it people see it another way since the group is so close and solid in talent
@@soshimochi556 iQiyi really isn't managing them well, we don't even see them together anymore. I definitely agree ranking Kiki higher in dance and ranking Shaking and Snow higher as vocals now. Personally, I'd rank Xin Liu higher in vocals, while yes she doesn't have a power vocal she knows how to sing and remain stable. I watched her performance of her songs U&I and Etude in a music festival. Gotta say her vocals were pretty damn solid.
I know right! She's better than Kiki! Not hating on Kiki AT ALL! I stan Kiki but her techniques are not better than Shaking. Shaking can control her voice well and do riffs while Kiki struggles a lot and she is kind of pitchy
what i worried is to many strong person in one group. it may turn bland in some point. i mean, in some group, you may may see 1 person stand out because other is not as good as this one person, so he or she can stand out. its not just about skill anyway

@@mashiho-kun9729 Shaking , Xiaotang Zhao will be the main rapper team i think with help from K Lu probably. Xin Liu needs to help Yu Yan on the vocal side along with Ester. So that means An Qi, Snow Kong and Kiki Xu dance the night away baobei. awesome lineup.
Everyone in this group is so well rounded! Everyone can do everything, usually above average. Especially Anqi, XIN, and Yan Yu. Even Esther is a good enough singer and dancer to debut (despite some saying she isn't ready)
I mean she was a trainee for only a month of two if I remember and it shows at times. I'm very glad she has the team she does because we know they will help her out when she needs it.

Im seeing anqi come after yuyan in the 9 as one of the main vocals. Anqi voice is pretty powerful too, like in lion or ambush,, she also have stable singing while dancing voice too
Which is why I was rooting for a vocal specialist like Xu Loada or Xu Xinwen to be in the final line up. The two previous seasons actually have one vocal specialist in their group.. In fact they were the best vocalist during their season.. Nine percent with You Zhangjing and Unine with Xia Hanyu.
Yes, I do wish the group do be a bit more vocally heavy. I don't think it'd be noticeable in a studio track since they're all good enough and could also do more rap-like concepts (many groups do these days) but I wish they got like a super powerhouse vocal like Xinwen, Roada, Juicy, or even just more vocals Aria and Lingzhi etc. Why can't it be a bigger group lol
So powerful! What a legend honestly. Tbh, depending the song, she might even take 1st place in every category. But they're all so good that it literally depends the style they do sometimes who will shine most. We are lucky to have these 9 girls as well as the talented contestants who performed so well too!
She is not only ACE OF THE GROUP but also FACE OF THE GROUP , bcos she is the only one who can carry the "X factor " as the concept of the YWY2 we don't define a girl, we are lookn for X factor ...
I think you’re underatting Yu Yan in rapping and dancing. If you find out more about her, you’ll see. Many people may say that she isn’t as good as other girls in dancing but if you watch her fancam, especially in “a little bit”, I think you’ll change your mind. She dance in her style, her moves is strong, fast and clean, her facial expressions are attractive. Performing skills and facial expressions are in the norms to assess a dancer, too; and in this case, I’d say she is one of the best idols I have ever known. Same as rap (let’s watch her singing “Black Widow, her rap is so damn good). She is an amazing performer and I think she deserves higher ranks. I don’t know why people just because they love other girls, they underrate Yu Yan. It’s not for nothing that many trainees in the show highly appreciate Yu Yan and it’s not only because she has many fans that she rank that high. Many trainees evaluate her: strong real talent, real ability. The judges say so. I think it’s because her screentime at the beginning is so little, only after viewers have their own bias, she get more screentime and rise to rank 3rd in the second evaluation . Is that the reason why many of you underrate her? I want to contribute my suggestions. I love all 9 girls, they’re so gifted. Btw, An Qi is a good singer too, you rank her in a right place in this case and An Qi dancing and facial expressions are so greattt. The strength of 3A!!! Let’s support THE9 - our nine excellent girls!
Yeah totally. I based it just on the YWY performances alone but I'm sure she'll show more in THE9. She's one of the most "all around talents" on the entire show
How Wouls Soshi Sing? - Yes, I read those introduction. However, according to what I can see in all performances of the show, she has the most artistic talent and theatrical potential. Anyway, it’s just my opinion; I want to contribute so I comment. Perhaps we have different views, tastes, etc.
Totally agree with you she doesn't have much training prior to ywy but the way she perform is excellent what more if she trained now regularly, underrated but the stages will speak for herself.
Totally! As I said, this rank can easily change as they're all so close and so talented! I had my reasons for putting snow first but others would have their reasons for Xin or Anqi first and that makes sense too
@@soshimochi556 Snow manages the girl group type of dance very very well, but if it's on dancing generally then Anqi and Xin are for sure better in skills and techniques
I fell in love with Anqi the first time I saw her dancing, she has something in the way she moves that makes you want to watch it more and more, the same with Xin Lu, she's amazing, the both of them are great and have unique styles while performing. Anyways, we should accept that everyone has their own way to perceive it, and that's amazing, Snow is great too!! So thank u so much for sharing this, I like your video :B I'm suscribed now
Thank you! Anqi has better performance overall but the little details in her dance vs Snow's in some performances made me put her lower. However, they're all so good and different and close that it could change very easily
Coming from a dancer I respect your opinion but Snow Kong is someone that would be a girl group dancer for sure but I have to put BabyMonster and Xin Liu above her when it comes to technique and different dancing genres and how they pull off all of them. I like both of them but I prefer Xin Liu's dancing more than Snow Kong. Edit: At the end of the days our opinions are our opinions. I just gave my preference as a dancer myself who has been dancing for almost 10-11 years mainly all genres especially hip hop. Snow and An Qi are great they should get a dancing position as well as Xin Liu but Xin Liu is a better dancer not just an idol but a dancer to me. I look up to her to the fact here in Asia she's considered the best dancer.

I disagree anqi killed the play/lion performance because those dances suit her very much but when she does different styles she tends to not be the best like in lover Kiki did better ambush on all sides xin and snow did better also a lot of people are amazed by xins popping bc she’s amazing at it but since this is a girl group snow is better in my opinion xin is stiff most of the time doing girl group dancing due to her popping background while snow has the fluidly for it

YanYu is talented in every categories as she did not have proper training before the show. she trained once four years ago in another show, and when she debut in that show, she have no stage, then she stop going proper training class. She practice singing and dancing by her own in her house, as she attend a class is expensive. So, if Yanyu train like others, i believe she will be at top 3 at every categories.
Yuyan already debuted 3 years ago she performed in many stages before the show she already had experience on stage plus she does go to dance classes and singing classes regularly. Did you watch her last vlogs before the show. Plus she practice also at home that's why she working on her basement. She acted in over 3 movies. She definitely hard working may not have the most experience but she is slaying
And The Youth with You staffs when being asked about who’s the most Hardworking trainee they say it’s Yu Yan, she even practicing until she fainted for the Lion stage
@@ouchachmasoud1273 She did debut 4 years ago but had ZERO stages ever since. The only stages she'd ever had was in the previous show. She resumed training only months before ywy. In her last Vlog if you listened carefully, she actually said that she hadn't taken vocal classes for a long time. She might occasionally take some dancing classes and practice in the basement. But the total training she received was only 8 months. She is definitely talented and hardworking. With more training, she could be even better.
I know some people might be thinking "how can xue'er be above yuxin in dance" but I do see your point. Non-dancers tend to be really impressed by dance styles like popping and it is amazing indeed, but knowing it doesn't automatically make you the best dancer. Just like how xiaotang is obv the best in traditional dance and she can do cool flips&tricks, but it doesn't means she's the best dancer. When it comes down to basics like isolations, waves, angles/lines, sharpness, power, honestly xue'er and yuxin are pretty balanced. Each have their own styles, there will be moves that yuxin does better and moves that xue'er does better.
Good explanation! It is hard, sometimes XIN is a lot better and sometimes Snow is. Both are virtually perfect in every dance though. That's why they're tops for me. Good point on Xiaotang too. I can tell she's well trained and skilled, and maybe can do things no one else can do, but just in general she doesn't dance quite as well as others in THE9 like in Non-Daily Revelry or Hunt or even her audition with Snow etc
Preach.. I used to think Yuxin is the best dancer just because she can popping lol, but I see some discussion about anqi n xueer dance can be better than yuxin is some area
@@hatimlupus124 yes anqi is really good dance like "play" she totally killed play even xue'er are outdid by her stage presence , however xue'er has a really good technique and control when an-qi sometimes over-dance like her 'yonce' performance. while liu xin has a dfferent style, her style suits boygroup dance more so she's a little bit stiff at the lower part in 'im not yours' performance , xue'er movement are defintely more fluid and bigger ,but liu xin's dance are more sharp tho.
This is so random but I'm really happy that K Lu made it! It's nice to see two ladies with unique styles, K Lu and Xin Liu in one group! I'm a kpop fan but I really like this group because they stick to their own uniqueness and do not force themselves to conform to the standards

Shanguan is also unique, but is more talented in every aspect... That's what happens when people vote by their visual opinion. I'm a man and I can't believe girls voted less for her just because of her visuals compared to K Lu...

Lu Keran improved a lot with her vocals and that is why Mentor Ella wanted her in her team as a vocalist. So I think she deserves a higher rank. You can see her improvement in vocals in No Company.
Lol some people are saying she's last in vocals and some say she deserves better. Honestly, all of THE9 besides Xin, Anqi, and Yuyan are around the same broad level. Like...really good subvocal level. Not quite lead vocal, but better than the average subvocalist

I'm a dancer, but this is still just an opinion. I wouldn't put Anqi up there with LYX and KXE, simply because I feel that Anqi is less versatile and I feel there is a gap between her and the other two in terms of mastery of basics. Sure, everyone has their preferred styles, but I've seen Anqi persists with her sexy style even when the concept is clearly not meant to be sexy. I would say KXE is the most versatile out of the three (even though she doesn't stand out as much as the other two/less stage charisma), followed by LYX (she's not great at this too honestly), then Anqi. I'm trying not to go into details here, but I would still opt for LYX over Anqi in terms of versatility because of the Reverse performance. I am ethnic Chinese and can fully understand the lyrics -- the song was describes a softer love ("hide inside your heart"/"Record the warm you" + lots of nature imagery) and simply NOT meant to be sexy. And it annoyed me when I saw Anqi trying to pull off sexy during the performance. I don't know, I guess I'm just really put off by her Reverse performance.
A professional China dancer from SM town says in his video that Snowkong 's dance is stiff and technical, having little soul and her own style. Meanwhile he praises anqi, kikixu, liuyuxin, shaking so much.

Snow, Kiki and An Q in the same level in dancing, but Snow's personality is not that strong as Kiki and An Q .. but for their dancing skill they are Equal.. Xin Liu is in another level.. she is extremly good in dancing but I can't deny some kinds of dancing is not that fit for her, maybe bcos she has her own style, for unrestrained dancing she is the Queen but for the category sexy girly dance she is just good.. but her dancing skill still no 1and very sophisticated..
@@misseve_ This is a good point. I'd switch XIN with Snow and K with Kiki looking back now. But I still feel Anqi is a solid 3rd. She has the best stage presence in the whole group to me, but her dance is sometimes less precise and smooth as Snow's and she doesn't use her body quite as much where she could add that extra that Snow does. However, Anqi brings more power and adds more to the performance in general

Tbh, Liu Yuxin's dance is the sharpest and smoothest among them all. I'm not being bias but her dance movements really could attracts viewers easily. Many people think that the best dancer is someone who is really energetic and can dance fiercely but I doubt that. The best dancer is someone who really can control their energy well, dancing smoothly and clean without any forced energy or movements. And that's what I see in XIN all this time. She's maybe not the most energetic throughout any performances but she knows really well which of the movements she must put the most and the least energy on it. If you watch all her focus cam, there's so many different movements that XIN add it to make it more sharp, clean and detail. I don't know how to say it anymore but Yuxin is indeed the best dancer with the best detail movements throughout the show. Don't fight me.
So basically about the Top 2 on dancing on this video means it depends on what people prefer the most. Kong Xueer is basically the perfect candidate for girlgroup dance style such as with sultry, sexy jazz style which is usually done most likely we can see Snow as the Hyuna or Soojin of the group. While Yuxin "broke" the standards and expectations of the girlgroup dance by basically doing popping, krumps or dances done mostly done by males which is actually harder cause she's a female and dances like that need to depends on every part of your body and muscle and she also got recognized by professional dancers. So it's basically what you prefer on what kind of dancer you prefer.
Very well said. I actually prefer XIN's style and think she's probably better overall. I only put Snow bc she did notably better than XIN in I'm Not Yours, and just as well as her in Ambush, it just happened to be my process. I wouldn't say popping is harder for a female, but rather is just a harder dance style in general
i think kiki is much a little better than k lu, but k lu is a really good dancer, i think kiki is the level of snow and anqi but her kiki's moves a little more timid than the two
Yeah I see what you mean. I originally had Kiki above K but then I compared their Eve performances and found K did just as well and sometimes better on some moves so I switched it. But I also think everyone in that middle area is extremely close it'll literally depend the song. I liked Kiki's dance audition more than An Qi but overall An Qi does have more power yes. I think Snow is another level up
To me, XIN is the undeniable top #1 dancer. Not because she's a popper, it's because she knows when to use all her strength and when to not. In Snow's I'm not yours fancam it's pretty clear that some of her circles (of hand and arm movement) are not circles, they are half-finished. The level of detail is lacking. Plus if you compare their AOAS fancam, it's pretty obvious some of Snow's dance moves are half-finished and she would move to the next move. Snow is a powerful dancer indeed but she nearly always use all her strength, she doesn't withdraw the strength when needed, so, she will seem powerful but lose some fluidity. Yes in some dances Xin may lack curvature but it also makes the whole dance more comfortable, precise, and balanced. I'm a dancer myself and the "a little bit" dance choreography is out just today. Her performance is definitely the best compared to all 10 trainees. She completes every single detail to the full extent. Most importantly, she can choreograph. This is the most important thing to look at when determining the best dancer. She also adds a small design to all her stages and we call that "killing part". A dancer who can bring out a killing part on stage, in my opinion, is very treasurable.
I'm so sad to see that people didnt appreciate for Snow's talent like come on Snow is one of the best dancer that proven by mentor Lisa and she been trained in JYP entertainment one of the big korean company years ago
I personally like Xin Liu's dancing more than Snow Kong, I find it more stable like many dancers think they need to dance really hard but for singers it's not the best way because you'll run out of breath. I think if you can dance strongly and if your moves are sharp, it definitely means you're good at dancing, but if you know how to control yourself, like if you know which move you should put more strength in and which move you should not then you're even better. But usually the one who dances more vigorously is the one people pay attention to more and thus is thought as greater. Also, Xin Liu is more skillful in various types of dance. In short, Snow Kong dances like an idol while Xin Liu dances like a real dancer.
I think Snow's dancing is almost always overlooked. Like, Snow is really stable and balanced when it comes to dancing, she has the techniques and the skills down, and she has great control. She has her own style but she is very versatile as well. She used to dance Latin dance, Jazz dance and Chinese traditional dance before focusing and training for the more hip hop girl group type of dance for eight years, so while she may be out of practice for all the other types of dances, she has the foundation for them. I am so tired of people playing down Snow's ability just to prove Xin or Babymonster have better dances. And I'm not saying Xin and Babymonster dance worst than Snow or anything. I'm just really tired of people trying to make Snow seem less adequate in order to make the other seem more capable.

@@waterdrinker4033 no no no one is playing down on anyone here it's just my opinion. I also think Snow Kong is a great GREAT dancer I think she also knows that's what she does best. But in terms of being able to control her strength, i don't think she is as good as Xin. I think being able to control proves that you understand yourself and what is best for you and i think to be able to do that, you must have been through the period of spending too much energy on the dance that you ended up run out of breath for anything else. For me it goes like this: don't know how to dance --> know how to dance but unable to do it strongly and smoothly --> able to dance strongly and smoothly but can run out of breath at the end --> know how much strength to put in your dance. If you watched YWY2, Snow Kong also was ranked B in the Title Song Round because she danced well but was out of breath, and Xin was praised by Lisa from the very beginning that she knew when to be strong and when to be more gentle with her dance. But like, I know nothing. It's just my own thoughts.
For me, XIN Liu is the best dancer followed by An Qi. If you see XIN Liu's solo fancams she feels every single moment of the music her every little pieces of movements are so artsy and delicate. She is at an another level. In I am not yours preparation she was busy with the advertisements, shoots and also REVERSE preparation so she couldn't prepare it for a long time. But she still managed to shine.
True. These two totally visual. Now add on w yanyu. But if it's me to choose a visual for girl group I will go for Snow. I still love kiki alluring sexy yet cute look N yanyu cool beauty look but will still prefer snow sweet stunning hot exquisite looks. Just purely each taste. 😍
While I was trying to figure out my own rankings I realized I would put Yuxin n. 1 for dancing, n. 2 for vocals and n. 2 for rapping... I stan the right person...
omg, i just heard lady bees' song "GPS" and liu yuxin's rap is so freaking good. i really urge you to watch if you havent done so already. its at the 2:00 minute mark.
XIN Liu is so tip top in all the category, well-rounded in deed!!! Except for Esther who has more room for improvement, the rest is pretty strong in their positions, imo.
Snow is my ultimate bias and I prefer her dance the most, but i think Xin Liu and Anqi dance are slightly better than her, but still Snow is the best for me❤❤
kiki deserves at least top3 in dancing. her charisma and charm is really no joke and she is so versatile and slays every concept. not only that her facial expressions are top notch
This is my opinion based on not only from the show : Vocal : 1. Yan Yu 2. Xin Liu (She's not really showed it in the show, but I alr hear her singing in her song and when she pract. Her vocal is quite strong + really stable when dance) 3. AnQi (Her vocal is quite Underrated, but I must say she deserved no. 2 with Xin Liu.) 4. Shaking 5. Snow Kong 6. Kiki Xu 7. Esther 8. KLu/Xiaotang Dance : 1. Xin Liu (She can kill every types of dance, popping, sexy, powerful, smooth and clean) 2. AnQi/Snow Kong (Both of them have a powerful, sexy style of dance) 3. Kiki Xu/Yan Yu/KLu 4. Shaking 5. Xiaotang 6. Esther Rap : 1. Shaking (Her rap always on beat and powerful) 2. Xin Liu (I've hear her rap in the show and her previous solo song, it's so good.) 3. Xiaotang 4. Yan Yu (She's not really showed it on the show, but she can do it on AOAS 2) 5. AnQi /Snow Kong(They're like Yan Yu, but Yan Yu is a bit more powerful) 6. K Lu /Kiki 7. Nice! Great list! The only thing I particularly disagree with is K and Shaking in dancing. In their performance of MAMA, K does quite a bit better. And I don't think Shaking could dance like K did in her audition
When I started watching the show I knew for a fact that Baby An Monster, Esther Yu and Snow Kong would debut, they just have this charisma around them that I found amazing how easily they attract the audience even when they're not in the center. They are amazing performers, and they have so much versatility, I'm so happy for them
I respect your opinion.. But in my Opinion, Babymonster An and XIN Liu is deserve better in Dance position. And in my opinion, Top 1 is Babymonster An or XIN Liu (I can't choose them both)
Personal opinion, without being bias: Vocal: 1. Yu Yan (obviously obvious) 2. An Qi and Liu Yuxin (both of them are on par) 3. Xu Jiaqi and Shaking (again, both of them are pretty much on par) 4. Yu Shuxin (if she practice more, she will easily climb above, her voice actually nice especially in NDR) 5. Kong Xueer, Zhao Xiaotang, Lu Keran (for Xueer she mostly rap, Xiaotang voice sounds too thick in NDR while Keran sounds weak) Rap: 1. Xie Keyin (Ella praised her as her ideal girl group rapper) 2. Xu Jiaqi (She's a good rapper, can wrote her own lyric, it's just she mostly went on vocal in YWY2) 3. Zhao Xiaotang and Liu Yuxin 4. Kong Xueer and Lu Keran 5. Yu Yan 6. An Qi 7. Yu Shuxin Dance: 1. Xu Jiaqi, Kong Xueer, An Qi, Liu Yuxin (four of them excell in different areas) 2. Lu Keran 3. Yu Yan and Zhao Xiaotang 4. Xie Keyin and Yu Shuxin
Shaking is the best if she improve her singing skill because her voice unique swag. Nobody can replace her in raps and singing.yu yan /anqi/ yuxin have skills and tecnique but their voice not specail

Yes the others may not have husky unique voice like shaking. But vocalist is not about having a unique voice. Plus, you can see that yu yan always change her voice according to the song. She adapts very well and her technique is good.
I’m snow Kong fan but in my opinion xin liu most likely to get no.1 in dancing because the way she dance every move are so smooth so we didn’t get bored to watch her dancing it feel more natural

Snow is a great dancer. She really is. I have watched the whole show. And I love all of them. But An Qi and Xin Liu are definitely better dancers. Snow has a great advantage. She has a great body and is really pretty, which makes her dancing look extra nice. But in terms of technique, strength and precision, An Qi and Xin Liu are much better.
I feel sad because people are underestimatimg SNOW dancing she is as good as anqi and xin she just have low self esteem and lacks confident compared to the girls.
Actually i think snow really shows her confidence when she in a group of great performer like first performance with xiaotang, play team, non daily team and the last final team. I just tried to made my own rank by my opinion when I have'nt done watching this video yet, I tried to made it from singing, dancing, rapping, and then when it come to visual, my brain just being stuck.... Like... I just relised that I can't decide the best visual among them LOL 😭, then I continue this video to know how this person who made this video decide the visual, then I laugh a bit to know that I'm not alone for being confused about choosing the best visual of this group 😂.
In my opinion I would prefer Xin Liu over Snow Kong on the the dance rank because Yuxin we all know she's very good at popping but I will not compare their style since they both have different style but in general Yuxin is way better for me it's just because as I've said Yuxin has a background of popping so technically she has a lot more control than snow she knows where to emphasize her moves and not go on too much,she also dance more naturally and precisely
Totally fair. The popping should indeed bring her up higher. She has better body control than Snow and a great sense of music. I only put her below after comparing their dances in I'm Not Yours. However, it just depends the dance style who will do better. They're both so good. It's such a dance powered group I'm sure any of the top 5 or 6 could be the best at some point depending the dance they do.

thank you for this! the dance category is interesting. i like to see their crossover performances in for references. For example in "play", an qi shines more than snow even if we took away an qi's solo part. in ambush from all side 2 where an qi, xin liu and snow was on the same team, i tend to find xin liu and an qi very grabbing audience attention, both their dance styles are different but stood out from the team, so unfortunately snow fell behind. to me, each week an qi, xin liu, gain more and more momentum since their high score audition and manage to show different side of them as a dancer. next is xiaotang as she maintains her momentum, while my favourite kiki xu and snow decreases their momentum a bit after the high score of their audition (but it's okay im still proud!). snow is an excellent dancer but with dancers like xin, an qi, lu keran that has a very strong identity and technique when dancing, she really need to find her confidence so that it dont always feel like similar vibe or dancing in a background. just my opinion tho, i love this show so much. one of the best show without any drama or evil editing (not as much) my baby yuyan is the best vocalist of all hands down and i have faith in an qi for vocal as well, her live seems stable. esther has potential, she may be a bit behind in terms of skills and experience but im sure she knows this and trains very hard. all the best the x nines!!!! p.s pls support the my baby shangguan xiai, she's not part of the team but she's amazing af huhu
An Qi and Xin Liu are the best dancers for me. Although their dancing styles are completely different from one another. I was so attracted to An Qi's dancing. There is something about her dancing that really attracts public attention. But this group got so many great dancers. It would be really difficult to choose one for the main dancer position.
did you watch the finals stage ,you should rank it after watching it, kiki is such a good rapper,she amaze me in the finals ,i never thought she was that good in rapping ,so i think 7 is such a disrespecting rank
people didn't know Kiki was 7senses lead rapper and it shows She mostly went on singing to challenge herself because singing was her weakness compare to dancing and rapping And she wrote her own lyric for r&b all night and hunt
she overdances something's but I think she doesn't that on purpose because she's smaller (not an insult) so she needs to "match" the others members dance but sometimes it doesn't look as good
I think Xin should get the first place at the dance ranking coz she learned different types of dance not just for a girl group. But, yes, Snow and an qi are also good at dancing.
Yea that's one of the hardest ranks for me. I still go back and forth. I settled on it at the time and had my reasons but, as I say in the vid, it changes depending on the dance. I just felt Snow did better in I'm Not Yours and Ambush on All Sdies but XIN probably has better control and flow overall

Shaking is good at singing she can even reach hignotes but she didn't show her abilities in the show. In dancing I feel like shaking doesn't really care about dancing more than rap. You can tell she just worried about her rapping more than dancing and vocal because she really love rapping and acting more than anything. She even said that she wants to be the best rapper in youth with you season 2 and she really reached her goal. If shaking wanted to be good at dancing like anqi,kiki, etc. She will diffenetley work very hard and progress evertime like how she progress her rapping skills.

Most ranking on other video put Xin Liu as the best at dance followed by An Qi at second. I think definitely Xin Liu and An Qi are the best dancer in the group. Xin Liu is really good in putting additional details in her dance yet her moves are superb clean and smooth while An Qi has always give us strong performance.

Shaking was really good in her first clip but her vocals during her original rap were not nearly as strong. I think on default Kiki is usually better but if each are performing their best then Shaking is better if that makes sense

Dance: Disclaimer: I think the top 3 are interchangeable depending on the concept, so I chose based on my own bias. Honestly, the top 4 could all be main dancers in their respective groups. 1. Liu Xin (X Queen's weak point is sultry dances, but I think it's more mental as opposed to skill. She was the best at the low side roll in Lion.) 2. An Qi (An Qi overpowers moves sometimes, but improved on this since the audition) 3. Snow Kong (Snow's performance depends on her confidence level and mood) 4. Kiki 5. What I love the most about this group is all of them so unique and authentic. We can remember their face & vocal & we can distinguish each of them even if we close our eyes by listening to their voice.
I don't think snow is better than liu xin and an qi in term of dancing she should get n 3 , i believe yu yan rap is better than snow and liu yuxin should be n2 in term of singing

from a dancer pov..it seems like the dance evaluation is based on idol dancing but if its based on overall dance skills i would say liu yuxin and then an qi. snow kong is good at choreography but dance consists of both choreography and freestyle which ppl tend to forget. so if you consider all aspects of dance i would say liu yuxin because she is probably the only one who can freestyle well to the beat (partly thanks to her popping skills) followed by anqi not to mention anqi seems more versatile in different styles of dance from soft, feminine, powerful, fierce etc.

People always forget that Lisa chose Keran as her pick for her dancing and Ella chose her as her pick for the mentor collab bc of her VOCALS. I really recommend watching keran’s dancing before the show because it showcases her style so much better and people keep forgetting how good her vocal tone is. Even Ella thinks so.

They were only based on evidence from the show and, of course, the members have much to show outside of it too. This was truly only made to show off the members to both those who love them and those who don't know them and wasn't meant to be taken too seriously (it is just one person's old opinion after all). Personally, I'd rank Xin Liu higher in vocals, while yes she doesn't have a power vocal she knows how to sing and remain stable. I watched her performance of her songs U&I and Etude in a music festival. Gotta say her vocals were pretty damn solid.

Everyone in this group is so well rounded! Everyone can do everything, usually above average. Especially Anqi, XIN, and Yan Yu. Even Esther is a good enough singer and dancer to debut (despite some saying she isn't ready)
I mean she was a trainee for only a month of two if I remember and it shows at times. I'm very glad she has the team she does because we know they will help her out when she needs it.

Im seeing anqi come after yuyan in the 9 as one of the main vocals. Anqi voice is pretty powerful too, like in lion or ambush,, she also have stable singing while dancing voice too

Which is why I was rooting for a vocal specialist like Xu Loada or Xu Xinwen to be in the final line up. The two previous seasons actually have one vocal specialist in their group.. In fact they were the best vocalist during their season.. Nine percent with You Zhangjing and Unine with Xia Hanyu.

Yes, I do wish the group do be a bit more vocally heavy. I don't think it'd be noticeable in a studio track since they're all good enough and could also do more rap-like concepts (many groups do these days) but I wish they got like a super powerhouse vocal like Xinwen, Roada, Juicy, or even just more vocals Aria and Lingzhi etc. Why can't it be a bigger group lol

I think you’re underatting Yu Yan in rapping and dancing. If you find out more about her, you’ll see. Many people may say that she isn’t as good as other girls in dancing but if you watch her fancam, especially in “a little bit”, I think you’ll change your mind. She dance in her style, her moves is strong, fast and clean, her facial expressions are attractive. Performing skills and facial expressions are in the norms to assess a dancer, too; and in this case, I’d say she is one of the best idols I have ever known. Same as rap (let’s watch her singing “Black Widow, her rap is so damn good). She is an amazing performer and I think she deserves higher ranks.
I don’t know why people just because they love other girls, they underrate Yu Yan.
It’s not for nothing that many trainees in the show highly appreciate Yu Yan and it’s not only because she has many fans that she rank that high. Many trainees evaluate her: strong real talent, real ability. The judges say so. I think it’s because her screentime at the beginning is so little, only after viewers have their own bias, she get more screentime and rise to rank 3rd in the second evaluation . Is that the reason why many of you underrate her?

Coming from a dancer I respect your opinion but Snow Kong is someone that would be a girl group dancer for sure but I have to put BabyMonster and Xin Liu above her when it comes to technique and different dancing genres and how they pull off all of them. I like both of them but I prefer Xin Liu's dancing more than Snow Kong.
Edit: At the end of the days our opinions are our opinions. I just gave my preference as a dancer myself who has been dancing for almost 10-11 years mainly all genres especially hip hop. Snow and An Qi are great they should get a dancing position as well as Xin Liu but Xin Liu is a better dancer not just an idol but a dancer to me. I look up to her to the fact here in Asia she's considered the best dancer.

YanYu is talented in every categories as she did not have proper training before the show. she trained once four years ago in another show, and when she debut in that show, she have no stage, then she stop going proper training class. She practice singing and dancing by her own in her house, as she attend a class is expensive. So, if Yanyu train like others, i believe she will be at top 3 at every categories.
Yuyan already debuted 3 years ago she performed in many stages before the show she already had experience on stage plus she does go to dance classes and singing classes regularly. Did you watch her last vlogs before the show. Plus she practice also at home that's why she working on her basement. She acted in over 3 movies. She definitely hard working may not have the most experience but she is slaying

In her last Vlog if you listened carefully, she actually said that she hadn't taken vocal classes for a long time. She might occasionally take some dancing classes and practice in the basement. But the total training she received was only 8 months. She is definitely talented and hardworking. With more training, she could be even better.
I know some people might be thinking "how can xue'er be above yuxin in dance" but I do see your point. Non-dancers tend to be really impressed by dance styles like popping and it is amazing indeed, but knowing it doesn't automatically make you the best dancer. Just like how xiaotang is obv the best in traditional dance and she can do cool flips&tricks, but it doesn't means she's the best dancer. When it comes down to basics like isolations, waves, angles/lines, sharpness, power, honestly xue'er and yuxin are pretty balanced. Each have their own styles, there will be moves that yuxin does better and moves that xue'er does better.
Good explanation! It is hard, sometimes XIN is a lot better and sometimes Snow is. Both are virtually perfect in every dance though. That's why they're tops for me. Good point on Xiaotang too. I can tell she's well trained and skilled, and maybe can do things no one else can do, but just in general she doesn't dance quite as well as others in THE9 like in Non-Daily Revelry or Hunt or even her audition with Snow etc

@@hatimlupus124 yes anqi is really good dance like "play" she totally killed play even xue'er are outdid by her stage presence , however xue'er has a really good technique and control when an-qi sometimes over-dance like her 'yonce' performance. while liu xin has a dfferent style, her style suits boygroup dance more so she's a little bit stiff at the lower part in 'im not yours' performance , xue'er movement are defintely more fluid and bigger ,but liu xin's dance are more sharp tho.
Snow is better in dances that are graceful, flowy, and feminine

Lu Keran improved a lot with her vocals and that is why Mentor Ella wanted her in her team as a vocalist. So I think she deserves a higher rank. You can see her improvement in vocals in No Company.
Lol some people are saying she's last in vocals and some say she deserves better. Honestly, all of THE9 besides Xin, Anqi, and Yuyan are around the same broad level. Like...really good subvocal level. Not quite lead vocal, but better than the average subvocalist

I'm a dancer, but this is still just an opinion. I wouldn't put Anqi up there with LYX and KXE, simply because I feel that Anqi is less versatile and I feel there is a gap between her and the other two in terms of mastery of basics. Sure, everyone has their preferred styles, but I've seen Anqi persists with her sexy style even when the concept is clearly not meant to be sexy. I would say KXE is the most versatile out of the three (even though she doesn't stand out as much as the other two/less stage charisma), followed by LYX (she's not great at this too honestly), then Anqi.
I'm trying not to go into details here, but I would still opt for LYX over Anqi in terms of versatility because of the Reverse performance. I am ethnic Chinese and can fully understand the lyrics -- the song was describes a softer love ("hide inside your heart"/"Record the warm you" + lots of nature imagery) and simply NOT meant to be sexy. And it annoyed me when I saw Anqi trying to pull off sexy during the performance. I don't know, I guess I'm just really put off by her Reverse performance.
A professional China dancer from SM town says in his video that Snowkong 's dance is stiff and technical, having little soul and her own style. Meanwhile he praises anqi, kikixu, liuyuxin, shaking so much.

Snow, Kiki and An Q in the same level in dancing, but Snow's personality is not that strong as Kiki and An Q .. but for their dancing skill they are Equal.. Xin Liu is in another level.. she is extremly good in dancing but I can't deny some kinds of dancing is not that fit for her, maybe bcos she has her own style, for unrestrained dancing she is the Queen but for the category sexy girly dance she is just good.. but her dancing skill still no 1and very sophisticated..

She has the best stage presence in the whole group to me, but her dance is sometimes less precise and smooth as Snow's and she doesn't use her body quite as much where she could add that extra that Snow does. However, Anqi brings more power and adds more to the performance in general

Tbh, Liu Yuxin's dance is the sharpest and smoothest among them all. I'm not being bias but her dance movements really could attracts viewers easily. Many people think that the best dancer is someone who is really energetic and can dance fiercely but I doubt that. The best dancer is someone who really can control their energy well, dancing smoothly and clean without any forced energy or movements. And that's what I see in XIN all this time. She's maybe not the most energetic throughout any performances but she knows really well which of the movements she must put the most and the least energy on it. If you watch all her focus cam, there's so many different movements that XIN add it to make it more sharp, clean and detail. I don't know how to say it anymore but Yuxin is indeed the best dancer with the best detail movements throughout the show. Don't fight me.

Wow seeing shaking yuyan and xiaotang last in dance. They can be lead dancers in any groups. The9 is top group when it comes to dancing
So basically about the Top 2 on dancing on this video means it depends on what people prefer the most. Kong Xueer is basically the perfect candidate for girlgroup dance style such as with sultry, sexy jazz style which is usually done most likely we can see Snow as the Hyuna or Soojin of the group. While Yuxin "broke" the standards and expectations of the girlgroup dance by basically doing popping, krumps or dances done mostly done by males which is actually harder cause she's a female and dances like that need to depends on every part of your body and muscle and she also got recognized by professional dancers.
So it's basically what you prefer on what kind of dancer you prefer.

I only put Snow bc she did notably better than XIN in I'm Not Yours, and just as well as her in Ambush, it just happened to be my process. Yeah I see what you mean. I originally had Kiki above K but then I compared their Eve performances and found K did just as well and sometimes better on some moves so I switched it. But I also think everyone in that middle area is extremely close it'll literally depend the song. I liked Kiki's dance audition more than An Qi but overall An Qi does have more power yes. I think Snow is another level up
To me, XIN is the undeniable top #1 dancer. Not because she's a popper, it's because she knows when to use all her strength and when to not. In Snow's I'm not yours fancam it's pretty clear that some of her circles (of hand and arm movement) are not circles, they are half-finished. The level of detail is lacking. Plus if you compare their AOAS fancam, it's pretty obvious some of Snow's dance moves are half-finished and she would move to the next move. Snow is a powerful dancer indeed but she nearly always use all her strength, she doesn't withdraw the strength when needed, so, she will seem powerful but lose some fluidity. Yes in some dances Xin may lack curvature but it also makes the whole dance more comfortable, precise, and balanced. I'm a dancer myself and the "a little bit" dance choreography is out just today. Her performance is definitely the best compared to all 10 trainees. She completes every single detail to the full extent. Most importantly, she can choreograph. This is the most important thing to look at when determining the best dancer. She also adds a small design to all her stages and we call that "killing part". A dancer who can bring out a killing part on stage, in my opinion, is very treasurable.

I personally like Xin Liu's dancing more than Snow Kong, I find it more stable like many dancers think they need to dance really hard but for singers it's not the best way because you'll run out of breath. I think if you can dance strongly and if your moves are sharp, it definitely means you're good at dancing, but if you know how to control yourself, like if you know which move you should put more strength in and which move you should not then you're even better. But usually the one who dances more vigorously is the one people pay attention to more and thus is thought as greater. Also, Xin Liu is more skillful in various types of dance.
In short, Snow Kong dances like an idol while Xin Liu dances like a real dancer.

I think Snow's dancing is almost always overlooked. Like, Snow is really stable and balanced when it comes to dancing, she has the techniques and the skills down, and she has great control. She has her own style but she is very versatile as well. She used to dance Latin dance, Jazz dance and Chinese traditional dance before focusing and training for the more hip hop girl group type of dance for eight years, so while she may be out of practice for all the other types of dances, she has the foundation for them. I am so tired of people playing down Snow's ability just to prove Xin or Babymonster have better dances. And I'm not saying Xin and Babymonster dance worst than Snow or anything. I'm just really tired of people trying to make Snow seem less adequate in order to make the other seem more capable.

@@waterdrinker4033 no no no one is playing down on anyone here it's just my opinion. I also think Snow Kong is a great GREAT dancer I think she also knows that's what she does best. But in terms of being able to control her strength, i don't think she is as good as Xin. I think being able to control proves that you understand yourself and what is best for you and i think to be able to do that, you must have been through the period of spending too much energy on the dance that you ended up run out of breath for anything else. For me it goes like this: don't know how to dance --> know how to dance but unable to do it strongly and smoothly --> able to dance strongly and smoothly but can run out of breath at the end --> know how much strength to put in your dance.
If you watched YWY2, Snow Kong also was ranked B in the Title Song Round because she danced well but was out of breath, and Xin was praised by Lisa from the very beginning that she knew when to be strong and when to be more gentle with her dance.
But like, I know nothing. It's just my own thoughts.
For me, XIN Liu is the best dancer followed by An Qi. If you see XIN Liu's solo fancams she feels every single moment of the music her every little pieces of movements are so artsy and delicate. She is at an another level. In I am not yours preparation she was busy with the advertisements, shoots and also REVERSE preparation so she couldn't prepare it for a long time. But she still managed to shine.
I really like An Qi's attitude on stage.

XIN Liu is so tip top in all the category, well-rounded in deed!!! Except for Esther who has more room for improvement, the rest is pretty strong in their positions, imo.
Snow is my ultimate bias and I prefer her dance the most, but i think Xin Liu and Anqi dance are slightly better than her, but still Snow is the best for me❤❤

When I started watching the show I knew for a fact that Baby An Monster, Esther Yu and Snow Kong would debut, they just have this charisma around them that I found amazing how easily they attract the audience even when they're not in the center. Snow is a great dancer. She really is. I have watched the whole show. And I love all of them. But An Qi and Xin Liu are definitely better dancers. Snow has a great advantage. She has a great body and is really pretty, which makes her dancing look extra nice. But in terms of technique, strength and precision, An Qi and Xin Liu are much better.

Actually i think snow really shows her confidence when she in a group of great performer like first performance with xiaotang, play team, non daily team and the last final team. But in the i look great team ( the one with team a vs team b, sorry i only know the chinese name), the members in there are quite so-so.. So snow were kinda became lost n yeah low spirit. So im happy that the9 have such great performers in it, so snow could be more competitive n high spirit in their upcoming songs

In my opinion I would prefer Xin Liu over Snow Kong on the the dance rank because Yuxin we all know she's very good at popping but I will not compare their style since they both have different style but in general Yuxin is way better for me it's just because as I've said Yuxin has a background of popping so technically she has a lot more control than snow she knows where to emphasize her moves and not go on too much,she also dance more naturally and precisely
Totally fair. The popping should indeed bring her up higher. She has better body control than Snow and a great sense of music. I only put her below after comparing their dances in I'm Not Yours. However, it just depends the dance style who will do better. They're both so good. It's such a dance powered group I'm sure any of the top 5 or 6 could be the best at some point depending the dance they do.

the dance category is interesting. i like to see their crossover performances in for references. For example in "play", an qi shines more than snow even if we took away an qi's solo part. in ambush from all side 2 where an qi, xin liu and snow was on the same team, i tend to find xin liu and an qi very grabbing audience attention, both their dance styles are different but stood out from the team, so unfortunately snow fell behind.
to me, each week an qi, xin liu, gain more and more momentum since their high score audition and manage to show different side of them as a dancer. next is xiaotang as she maintains her momentum, while my favourite kiki xu and snow decreases their momentum a bit after the high score of their audition (but it's okay im still proud!).
snow is an excellent dancer but with dancers like xin, an qi, lu keran that has a very strong identity and technique when dancing, she really need to find her confidence so that it dont always feel like similar vibe or dancing in a background. just my opinion tho, i love this show so much. one of the best show without any drama or evil editing (not as much)
my baby yuyan is the best vocalist of all hands down and i have faith in an qi for vocal as well, her live seems stable.
esther has potential, she may be a bit behind in terms of skills and experience but im sure she knows this and trains very hard.

An Qi and Xin Liu are the best dancers for me. Although their dancing styles are completely different from one another. I was so attracted to An Qi's dancing. There is something about her dancing that really attracts public attention. But this group got so many great dancers. It would be really difficult to choose one for the main dancer position.
Your judgement are pretty accurate.. especially the dancing part and most of all the visuals.

She mostly went on singing to challenge herself because singing was her weakness compare to dancing and rapping

Yea that's one of the hardest ranks for me. I still go back and forth. I settled on it at the time and had my reasons but, as I say in the vid, it changes depending on the dance. I just felt Snow did better in I'm Not Yours and Ambush on All Sdies but XIN probably has better control and flow overall
Shaking needs to practice dance more and try to reach highnote in singing, then she will be so much more amazing bcs when someone who have a husky voice and can sing high note. Y'all done 🤣
Totally, i love her vocal color. I miss in the team a vocal like roada xu, xinwen xu or juicy zuo, damn those were impressive vocals who could reach amazing high notes lol
Shaking is good at singing she can even reach hignotes but she didn't
show her abilities in the show. In dancing I feel like shaking doesn't really care about dancing more than rap. You can tell she just worried about her rapping more than dancing and vocal because she really love rapping and acting more than anything. She even said that she wants to be the best rapper in youth with you season 2 and she really reached her goal. If shaking wanted to be good at dancing like anqi,kiki, etc. She will diffenetley work very hard and progress evertime like how she progress her rapping skills.

@@sycy4844 actually shaking does care about her dance. even though she may not be the top few dancers in the9 but her dancing isnt bad at all. a staff from the show said that because shaking knows for herself that shes not as good as the rest at dancing, she practices dancing extremely hard
Most ranking on other video put Xin Liu as the best at dance followed by An Qi at second. I think definitely Xin Liu and An Qi are the best dancer in the group. Xin Liu is really good in putting additional details in her dance yet her moves are superb clean and smooth while An Qi has always give us strong performance.

Shaking was really good in her first clip but her vocals during her original rap were not nearly as strong. I think on default Kiki is usually better but if each are performing their best then Shaking is better if that makes sense
yu yan is def not better at rapping than xiaotang xiaotang improved tremendously and her hunt perf proved her rapping is top notch i would actually put her right after keyin

Disclaimer: I think the top 3 are interchangeable depending on the concept, so I chose based on my own bias. Honestly, the top 4 could all be main dancers in their respective groups.
1. Liu Xin (X Queen's weak point is sultry dances, but I think it's more mental as opposed to skill. She was the best at the low side roll in Lion.)
2. An Qi (An Qi overpowers moves sometimes, but improved on this since the audition)
3. Snow Kong (Snow's performance depends on her confidence level and mood)

5. Yu Yan (her facial expressions are amazing!)

What I love the most about this group is all of them so unique and authentic.
We can remember their face & vocal & we can distinguish each of them even if we close our eyes by listening to their voice.
I don't think snow is better than liu xin and an qi in term of dancing she should get n 3 , i believe yu yan rap is better than snow and liu yuxin should be n2 in term of singing
Nice. Totally fair. I think Babymonster seems to struggle a lot less vocally than Xin. And I but her below XIN and Snow based on their Ambush on All Sides and I'm Not Yours performance. However, one we see them perform as THE9, this rank could change up completely

How Would Soshi Sing? I think Yu Yan deserve the 2nd in rap, her flow is great, so strong and swag, the other girls rap is good but quite weak

from a dancer pov..it seems like the dance evaluation is based on idol dancing but if its based on overall dance skills i would say liu yuxin and then an qi. snow kong is good at choreography but dance consists of both choreography and freestyle which ppl tend to forget. so if you consider all aspects of dance i would say liu yuxin because she is probably the only one who can freestyle well to the beat (partly thanks to her popping skills) followed by anqi not to mention anqi seems more versatile in different styles of dance from soft, feminine, powerful, fierce etc.

People always forget that Lisa chose Keran as her pick for her dancing and Ella chose her as her pick for the mentor collab bc of her VOCALS. I really recommend watching keran’s dancing before the show because it showcases her style so much better and people keep forgetting how good her vocal tone is. Even Ella thinks so.
