Look, I adore exploring the boundaries of what common materials can do for our work...in this video, we delve into some paper construction techniques that hold infinite possibilities. ⚙🛠
Also, any excuse to transform a cigar box into a secret realm is all the fuel I need to grab the glue, find fancy papers and let the imagination soar! 🎨
It's likely that you won't have access to the same cigar box that is used in the demo - don't let that worry you. The whole point is for YOU to find items in YOUR environment that can be altered to suit your fancy!

Every artist dips her brush in her own soul, and paints her own nature into her pictures. ~Henry Ward Beecher. You, my dear have a beautiful soul. Amazing work! Love it!
Whoa! 😱 Now, that's is an incredibly generous and warm hearted thing to say, my friend. Thank you. My soul is both beautiful and horrid, just like most folks - but I am honored that you would say such a thing. xox

Just yesterday I found you
And I can not stop looking at your creations ..
You wrote to me yesterday that you are not a genius and that anyone can .. Even in a hundred years I will not be able to reach the level of result like yours ..
In my eyes you are super genius (and please do not answer me you are not) ..
The throne room is a masterpiece.
Katya...you are a generous soul. Thank you for your encouragement - it is a precious gift. Thank you.
Here's why I said what I did:
I understand completely what it feels like to see the work of another and feel a sense of awe - it happens to me every day. I cherish that feeling of awe...it is one of the beacons that draws me forward on my journey. BUT, I take great care to not believe the voice inside that says "I will not be able to reach the level of result". Perhaps that voice is telling the truth - perhaps not. Either way, if we allow ourselves to believe that the Other has some precious quality that allows them to shine, but that we DON'T have that same quality, then we fail to acknowledge our own magnificence...in my heart, I know this to be an error.
I stand firm in my opinion that each of us has a 'genius' inside (whether we know it or not).
With respect and gratitude,
Heather
I agree with Heather. We all have "genius" in US somewhere. It just takes practice and most of all overcoming the fear. Heather has a very special talent. We can use her inspiration to let our "genius" flow.
Er-ma-gerd! Who doesn't want a throne for our inner Queen of hearts. You have hit it out of the park once again. Love you
Tina!!! Exactly, girl...OWN it! Love you more. xox
I love watching you do what only you can do...create perfection. It’s beautiful. Imagine designing a room sized version! LOL 💜❤️🤗
Designing stage sets and props...that would be one 'alternate life dream job', for sure, Annie. Thank you for the encouragement, girl! xox
My dear Heather, it's absolutely gorgeous!!!! And the throne????? Fantastic!!!! TFS!!! You're such an amazing and soooooo creative artist!!!! Hugs and kisses, my dear friend!!!! Thank you for all the things you share with us and the tons of inspiration!!!!
Dear Katerina...it is my pleasure to share - I hope that you are able to use these techniques to help make your own Creative Dreams come true! Your kindness means the world to me, girl. xox

Dear Trudyanne: what an absolutely lovely thing to say. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, my friend for this gift you've given me. xoxo
Oh my! I’m such a geek too, loved that moment you put the final piece on the throne, and also love it when everyday items turn out so amazing like your throne, wow amazing! What you made.
Working with materials that are readily available is my passion...of course, I buy all the cool commercially available tools and supplies I can stuff in the studio, too...but it's that TRANSFORMATION from ordinary to 'Whoa!" that makes my heart beat faster, MixedUpMargie! I know you get it! xox

you are wonderful
That is very kind of you. May you be blessed with such kindness in return. xox
Heather, this is awesome! Turning a lowly cigar box into a throne room. Kind of how Jesus transforms our lowly hearts into majestic works of art.
I want to ask a question: about a year ago or more, you did a tutorial on Graphics Fairy on a technique (I can’t remember the name) of layering vellum to create an eerie, foggy looking scene. Each layer of vellum had something different on it in a different place so it looked like one complete hazy scene. Is this tutorial on RUclips? If not, where can I find the written tutorial? I have lost my copies I printed and ended that technique for something I am making for my nephew. Thanks as always for your awesome teaching
Dear Kimberly....YES! We are transformed. No matter how lowly, we are filled with greatness (in my humble opinion) . I'm excited that you even remember that post! It's such a lovely technique - I hope you enjoy it as much as I do...No video (yet), but here's the link to the post: thegraphicsfairy.com/faux-encaustic-technique/
OMG.. i am super impressed... You have a very unike talent. wow I am not into these cutters... we got the templates for free - the lat video.. May i ask what kind of cutter/ machine you are using to make these ? I would love to have one. Do you sell your creations or do you keep them? I would love a room tour to see how you store/ show these artworks and how your craft room are organised. etc :) I am SOOO in love with this channel already. If you make a room tour i will deff have my husband watch it and have him help me to rearrange my craft room. I am sure you have some great ideas for storage etc. .. I love t buy regular miniature doll house kits and make them my own, haunted spaces.. :) but this is some serious next level stuff :-D warm hugs from the now ice cold Norway ox ox
Hello, @moirhann! Firstly, thank you for being so kind - your warmth and good vibes are deeply appreciated. 😍
Secondly, I use (and LOVE) The Cricut "Maker" - it's the most versatile and powerful of any cutting machine for the home market, and I recommend it above all others.
I sell nothing that I create (except for the svg bundles offered for sale in my Etsy Shop). I create these items from love, and I keep them all for my own pleasure. (selfish, I know 😉)
There will be room tour at some point, but at the moment my creative life is spread across 3 separate rooms, and chaos reigns! Once I get consolidated into a single space, and actually have something useful to share about organization, etc., I'll do a tour.
For the minis and dioramas that I create, I'm dedicating at least one full Billy Bookcase (IKEA) to their housing and display.
Hugs! xoxo
@@Thicketworks AAwwwhh. you are SO sweet :-D So you sell the bundles at Etsy? Do you mind posting a link to it? I actually see how much you love it :-D I think that is why i fell so in love with the channel. I have seen spirits and felt energies only by looking at a picture or being told things.. had this since i was very young .. and your energy is incredible strong, positive, secretive but in a good way, connected and very open minded..Loved by many - espec. animals.. Sorry for being so personal.. but i just had to tell you what draw me in + offcourse your incredible talent. and i agree - it s hard to let go of what you have spent hours creating.. filling up with your love and creative energy
OMG!!! I love your Portal idea SO much, @moirhann! You MUST find a way to make this happen. I think that room boxes, dioramas and dollhouses that have a mysterious glimpse of a 'space beyond' are THE most magical of all!
And, I totally understand about sensing energies. In fact, I was just talking with a friend about how I feel that using Social Media (where there is no physical contact, one cannot see into the eyes, etc) can INCREASE our intuitive powers. Many online experiences have confirmed this for me: if I feel a strong connection, I trust it. I don't mind the personal insights - I welcome them. I believe that everything important about a person is contained in our 'energy signature' and I know full well that anyone with sensitivity can 'READ' me like an open book! 😅
Like you, I am drawn into the creation process (rather than the cleaning and organizing process!) over and over...and my creative space is terribly messy at the moment. Please keep me updated on your laboratory / wizard's room project. I am enthralled by this idea.
And thank you for inquiring about the Etsy Shop. You can see it here: www.etsy.com/shop/ThicketworksStudio/
@@ThicketworksTHANK YOU SO MUCH - FOR EVERYTHING YOU WROTE :) And yes - i deff. will :-D
You're like a sexy, crafty witch or something. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
