I played this game since first CS. Never cheated. I believe it is time to stop playing, as it's no longer enjoyable with cheater base being at least 30% of the players.

the higher the elo, the more cheaters there are. At the top its 85% if you look at the number of people banned out of the top 135
That's also why I stopped playing cs2, no point in putting in the time to get better or have a good time with friends.
Cheaters are now doing montages on youtube without trying to hide anything, both in tf2 and cs. It's like there is a new generation of players for which downloading cheats is just part of the installation process

Had a guy in enemy team who was 5k rating, then suddenty skyrocketed to 15k. Felt he was a little sus, and sure enough watching demo he had WH (at least).

skins being tied to money make the game objectively worse in terms of playerbase as well. Not being able to turn off skins etc is a nightmare as well. CSS was a better experience all around.

Cheaters have god complex. Weaker the person the stronger the urge to cheat and and give them the illusion of being someone.
If they don't ban hundreds of thousands of accounts when next season starts then this game is finished.
Ban them for what? $15? Because that is all what is needed for them to buy back a new prime ac and they can get back to cheating their ass off again with another ac, even if they never bought prime they would still cheat somewhere else in the game.

I bet most cheaters have cheats installed and toggle as soon as they're getting destroyed. There's no fear of getting banned or any repercussions. They just make a new account and move on if it ever gets banned.

The worst part is that Valve doesn't do anything even when they start spinbotting: got a 4 stack with a cheater that had to turn up the heat in overtime (wallhacking wasn't enough to beat legits apparently), reported them both in game and on Steam (linking the demo, specifying the minute and round he started spinning) and they are not yet banned. It's clear that Valve doesn't really care a single bit, but to be fair why spend in good anticheat or a team that watches reported demos if they're gonna keep making millions off compulsive gamblers even when the game is unplayable
We need to create a community where we can post clips of cheaters and then brigade report their account. Force them to lose money on skins, get them auto banned as fast as possible every time.

most cs players actually play to counter shit cheaters on comp. I dont think we know that we do this but we do what works most often. I think thats why we play so scared thats why we jiggle way too much then wide swing we play the best spawns like you have to, we learn insane util just to counter the fact that yeah most cheaters are shit and even with cheats, they cant or are not willing to cheat hard enough. its sad because its like an absurd amount of the casual player-base cheats and its really bad in the us and in china where we have a culture of "win by any means necessary hell everyone else is prob cheating anyways" ask most cheaters, they started cheating bc they just wanted to cheat against cheaters.

There’s cheats now that unlock skins, metals, badges, stickers, patches, and music kits.
Skins are in hacks as well.
And yet, it is still the most played game on Steam. Valve has no reason to spend a single dollar fighting cheaters if people keep playing their game regardless.

Then if I do something nice (cause Im a pro) like 2 deagle oneshots or something, all of a sudden the whole enemy team prefires everyone dead, every round until they win, and during that time the other people on MY TEAM starts to cheat as well XD. Every single game.

I decided to watch my demos the other day and to my surprise even those matches I considered "clean,legit" had wallhackers in it, I was only able to spot the blatant hackers while playing, I felt horrible seeing that getting a fair match is almost impossible in CS2, I mean every 2 demo I watched had at least 1 wallhacker in it either on my side or the enemy. Also even the lvl 0 blatant hackers I witnessed a number of people reported are not getting banned for 5 months, I don't think those people who uses wh carefully won't ever get banned.. I feel disheartened and genuinely don't want to play CS2 for a while (Ignorance is bliss don't wath the demos if you wanna be able to keep playing CS2 at it's state) To all people who say CS GO was the same, that's not true it was never this serious with CS GO...

Steam can't count to 3 lol CS2 is the last CS game that will ever come out. You can tell by how they're setting CS up about the only thing I see changing is them dropping the 2 and just calling it CS. But with them pretty much getting CS ready to be an unreal eng and let people make the games they want there will be no need to make a new game you can always just update. You want an MMO with swords? You'll be able to make it in CS2 with NPC's working missions whatever your little heart can code you'll be able to make it in CS. GTA with cars crack head npc's working missions in CS?!?! You'll be able to make it. CS is going to have a big change when that update drops.

Even on Casual, which is all I play, it's every match there's one cheater minimum on either team. The fact that these kids don't see anything morally wrong and then have the gall to shit talk you going negative on K/D is insane. I pride myself in going 20:5-8, but as soon as I start getting a K/D of 1, I start looking closer and usually the answers become apparent. It's not a "get better" argument, it's a ban these fucking assholes situation. "Get mad, you're old, etc". I've been playing since 1.6. I know wtf I'm talking about. Instead of just admitting it and turning it off, they deny and deflect and try to gaslight you. I'm sorry but it's mostly the younger generation too.
Most new players playing casual exclusively are just bad at the game. And when you are bad at the game, you are also bad at judging whether a person is cheating or not. It is easy to assume that the other person is cheating when he kills you really fast upon turning a corner or seems to know timings a lot. It's just that everybody of any rank can play casual. And good players play casual a lot more often before because of too many more cheaters in premiere and mm. I myself get accused for cheating a lot by noob players in casual who doesn't even play with headphones or know when a bombsite is unguarded, doesn't even watch the radar, know certain spawn timings etc. The reality is, there are a LOT less cheaters in casual. Like a blatant cheater may join in like 1 out of 500 games or so. If you really want a cheater-fest experience, you should go play premiere and grind elo, the higher you get, the more cheaters there will be.
@@wolf_9626I've seen people aplenty running WHs and legit spinbots, full auto SSGs and Glocks and so on on casual games, and it was their teams having to kick them due to VAC not picking up anything, it's definitely a thing and not just paranoia.
@@ShaIadeI'm not saying it's not a thing, it is, I have 5500 hours in CS and have played Casual most of the time, and we had kicked numerous cheaters during my 5 years of CS. But compared to competitive mode, casual mode just has way less cheaters, its more so that people are paranoid because there are so many cheaters in general that they believe every other legit good player is cheating and they would accuse him immediately, with really bad judgement.
Considering how often I got called a cheater I would not be sure people at lower skill levels know what one looks like. Me and a friend play competetive and ai have silver on all maps so when some genuinely silver players get destroyed they always call cheats

People laughed at me for saying nearly 50% of players are in some way cheating. It doesn't matter if it's "only" walls or simply streamsniping. It's cheating. And now look at the game. Like everyone has now lightning fast reaction time and godly timing and perfect nades all the time.
Even better are the ones with perfect timing and no utility usage.
50% of players is highly exaggerated, as this is more of a high elo issue, which already is just about 4% of the total community. Now if you would have a cheater in every top level game you would still just end up with 1/10 of those 4%.
@@Gymnasiar I don't get why people say it's a high elo issue. Yes there will be some blatant hackers farming rank in 20k+ but I play at 12-13k and the amount of closet cheaters isn't a small issue. Like the other guy said, it's always the guys with bad crosshair placement, looking at the ground with their knife out, bot movement and 0 util that somehow catch every timing and drop 25 kills despite being demolished in the first half. There was an 800hr account I was playing against a few weeks ago and I suspected something was up. He would have hidden the hacks well though until he started tracking people through smokes and full flashes 😂. Another guy I was playing with was on my team, I asked him how many hours he had on cs because he was top of the leaderboard and seemed to be playing well. He said "uhhh.... eerrr..." and couldn't even give a straight answer. I check the demo and he's using soft aimlock. It has been like this every other game I play to the point where my leetify performance looks like a damn rollercoaster, performing well one game then getting demolished the next. My rating hasn't even changed despite having a 55% winrate, it feels like my rank is entirely based upon which team has the cheater.
This isn't even a sob story. I don't mind losing to people who are better than me. I check demos in the first place to watch my own plays to improve. But it's so disheartening to have a bad game and go to the demo to realise that half the time a game's outcome isn't you being good or bad, it's whether someone was cheating

Yeah, it's fine to play against guys who are better skilled, and you can figure out how you can catch them or try different tactics, in the end you can even learn from them something new. But when the oponent always knows where you're going it making the game very frustrating. And that's happens a lot
Finally a subject I’ve been talking about for years. The problem right now is new kids don’t know how to not make it look obvious. Wallers have been around forever and the percentage is higher than you think. Heck even like half of the friends I used to play on discord have admitted with time that they cheat.
Valve really should drop a big 6-7 figure bag on the ongoing arms race between hackers and devs. Hackers are miles ahead currently, need a company like Valve, or some other non mainstream(i.e not activison, not ubiosoft not ea) large game company needs to R&D some high level shit. Most of these top CSGO guys are using dual computers/dual VEs. It's really big technical hill on how do we catch hacks not even running on the same PC as the game. Personally I think you get rid of Prime as it's pointless and replace it with something more invasive that can't be so easily verified again on a new account. Perhaps spawning invisible player models or some other thing to fuck with the hacks? idk, it's sad tho, I don't understand the point of cheating in FPS. It's one thing to play a single player game and cheat to see what happens, or to get a certain item you missed out on etc. In CSGO it doesn't matter if your in a Rank 1000, or 26k if your hacking it's the same. You walk and the robot plays, so what's the point. The number lost all meaning when you took the skill out of the journey.
Valve needs to lobby law makers to make hacking in any matchmaking based competitive games illegal, then region lock servers. I'm saying this as a hyper libertarian.
. Its essentially fraud, harms businesses, and harms a section of society. It doesn't matter if "its just a game" its ruining peoples free time which effects people in their day to day.
They have the money to do it, and it would stop super intrusive anti-cheats from being the method to counteract this. Its only a matter of time until an anti-cheat company gets hacked and everyone who uses that kernel level anti cheat gets compromised.
You know Prime is the next biggest revenue source for Valve in CS2 after case openings?
They won’t remove anything that makes them money unless its replacement makes more money.
Companies like Valve have the mindset of “if it works, it works. No need to do anything” and throw in a bite whenever they feel so.
When a cheater is banned, they get another prime account which is a revenue source. This might make you think that why is not banning people actively.
It’s mostly because there are lot of cheaters who dominate the skins economy and alt accounts which in turn controls the prices and player share.

Back in the days these guys would atleast try to play normally due to Overwatch. Nowadays it's ridiculous how people admit to cheating in chat and aren't getting banned BC they aren't any repercussions.
If he is running it properly it can't be detected by vac. Also there might be a way to generate skins and items.

Valve is becoming more and more like EA at this point. All they care about is money and more income, and they don't really care if that money comes from dirty hands like cheaters and cheat developers. If they really cared, they would have really done something about this cheating problem a long time ago because honestly, they can.
I stopped playing premiere and stopped the elo grinding for this sole reason because once I got to 18k elo, the cheating got so much more out of control and I would get a cheater in almost every match, either on my team or the enemy team or both.
I'm noticing this at lower ranked games too. Valve needs to fix this

I love your analyses because you clearly play at a high level, and it takes knowledge of what you should and should not be aware of in a given situation to sus out the cheaters.
Playing since 1999 (Started with beta of CS) my experience says don't trust anyone unless you sit next to him and watch him play. Nice to have a video like this but usually you can see after like 60 seconds if someone is hacking or turning on his cheats.
There are so many games I have had where someone is just spinning from the start with a 100 overall aim rating and then the banned player ends up being someone who had like 2 kills and 60 overall aim rating
“I shot on my screen” @4:02, you have no idea how often this happens to me even with 14 ping. I see the muzzle flash, hear the shot fire but the server completely ignores all of my actions. Sometimes there is enemy blood splatter on the wall with 0 damage dealt. I don’t know if it’s desync, but this game is becoming increasingly more frustrating to play.

Griefing bans used to work a lot. Not much anymore. Most people have 20+ accounts ready to cheat on. If not there's the option of "Cracked Accounts" for cheap or just buying a new account. People are that desperate to cheat at times.
Looking back on some sussy players from old matches and seeing them looking at rotations through the wall and then pushing, they don't even try to hide it...
bro i was in a game this week where both teams had 2 cheaters, but we managed to vote them off as the closet cheater on each team voted to kick the blatant one, then proceeded to be too obvious themselves.. last 8 rounds were played 3v3
The funny thing is there is a community of ‘legit cheaters’ thats what they call themselves, thinking cheating while not rage cheating is part of being good or its like a skill , i got to my 30’s this year and ive never expected this to happen when these games came out back in the days , who thought cheating would be considered as a skill , insane .

in any game the statistic is every 1 in 3 people are cheating so in a premier or comp game where there is 10 people there could statistically be 3 cheaters in the room
If you look at the scout shot at 3:45, when he shoots the crosshair is not even close to your head? Is this some type of cheat or just a cs 2 specific problem? Its so hard to tell in cs 2 what happened, if the replay system just doesn't show you what actually happened in the game.

as a cs cheater since 2007, they havent updated or implemented any new detection methods to combat cheaters, its quite easy to slip pass vac, just need a basic ring0 kernel protection.

Ive played 1.6, source, go, cs2. Cheaters have been a problem FOREVER now. It would be extremely refreshing to play with 100% legit players.
The simple answer has been switching to faceit after reaching top 10% in matchmaking. But what's stopping anyone from running their video output through an EDID spoofed AI capture card/dongle overlaying inputs as a triggerbot? It's already hard to catch cheaters reading the game memory thru a second PC.

I was in LEM/supreme when i actively played CSGO, and my pals are silver and master guardian skill wise. ALl unranked.
Tell me how we lose a game 13-0. We lost every gunfight and it felt very fishy to me. They NEVER got surprised. They played around each other as if they know where we were and where we were looking. Nobody in their team got surprised by us on any angle ever. And the top scorer on their team with a 20/4 KD had 60 hours in the game.
I'm 100% convinced that every player on their team had radar hack for sure, and at least 2 players with walls. 2-4 players on their team toggled triggerbot/soft aimbot. It was unreal the types of timings they had. Me + Friend was holding from fountain to T spawn, nobody was there at all. I prenaded and hit nothing. Then my friend turns around and sneaks away and literally 0.5 seconds after he TURNED around, they nade stacked me, flashed me and got me as if they KNEW it was only me there. INsane.
Not gonna play a single more game if this keeps happening.
Yall remember that time when Activision I believe sent a cease and desist order to a person who's selling hacks for CoD? I think Valve needs to start doing that on a massive scale, it'll terrify all the people who are handing these out and lower the amount of cheaters considerably because the only ones who are left will be the ones that program their cheats on their own.

Yea, I had kid named "mojofps" doing stuff like the first case but he was 14-8 so it was a hard call to tell. Timing and everything was UNREAL
when you call out a cheater, they just say they re too good for you (us) noobs. I spec so many players like bobba, and everytime the story is the same. they re too good, others are noobs calling everyone cheaters.... they never clear sides/corners, straight spam through smoke or always waiting in the right corner, because they say, where else someone is gonna come?
This game will never be fixed, they’d have to block the entire eastern european community. Sadly, I’m always preaching against cheaters and how they destroy the community… to just find one of my friends started cheating recently. It felt he played a bit better recently but never expected it. Yesterday, I saw his crosshair “jump” between targets… he didn’t deny nor admit it, I still reported his account several times. 😢
I quit the game after achieving faceit level 10 in 2017 because this was my psychological point that "i have proven myself, i am officially a good player, so i have completed this game". Then I just played casual gamemodes and danger zone with friends and my bf for fun without a single care for rank or anything, we just loved to mess around. And now valve has killed all of it, so the game is entirely useless for me and my friends.

I played with a blatant rage hacker almost a month ago and he still isn't banned. There was also a less blatant cheater on the enemy team with thousands of dollars in skins who isn't banned either. They have no worries in the world because VAC stands for Valve Allows Cheats.
The thing I never will understand is the point of spending hundreds of hours playing with cheats, pretending to be legit, and then to be banned at the end and lose all those hours and matches... It's as if time doesn't matter and they don't care if they wasted 200 hours a month playing this game

It's fun. I do miss CS though.
What's annoying is that CS2 still does not have the ability to easily host and play Workshop maps peer to peer so that you can just 1v1 with a friend.

I am a legit player and have been playing CS since 1.6, with the amount of cheaters on CS2, I have decided to quit... its simply sad to see cheaters corrupts this beautiful game.
I've played tens of different MM games and my rank in premier is 13 thousand, and I know you obviously encounter far less cheaters at this range, but I have not encountered any blatant cheaters so far.
Maybe some wallhackers, but I didn't review the demo to confirm my suspicion, because what's the point anyway if they're not gonna be banned?

I would do a system that requires your real life ID to be able to register a copy of counter strike to play on official servers. Then, if you get caught... Well, too bad.

I have also had my premier rank decay, so long to chasing top 5% or 1%, none of it means anything when at least one person in every lobby is cheating
Usually when they get an almost instant shot on you it's not a prefire it's a trigger bot.

10 years of playing this game, it really sucks now, this is what used to end up in overwatch but they removed that from us. I also find it funny how 9 years ago i was nova 4. first rank reset can barely get outta silver, 3rd reset cant get higher than silv 4, cs2 reset i cant get over silver 3 and the silver 2 and unrankes im facing shoot like LEMs and better. So i guess i just got worse over time. interesting enough when i started premier my matches with 10-15ks were significantly easier with better ADR than 60% of my silver 3 matches and 5k and below matches. I guess im supposed to believe that the only reason they are silver is because they single que... oK
The silver thing is an unrelated issue with competitive mode (the single map one). The highest rank anyone has in that mode is MG or so. Almost the entire player base is in silver due to valve messing up ranked distribution again.

I can relate to your friend saying he suspects everyone now. I quit FPS games altogether because of this feeling. I _know_ that there are also tons of legit players who are really good, but I also know that thousands and thousands of Cronus Zens and stuff have been sold, not to mention PC cheats and forced crossplay. Even console is screwed these days. I love these vids but stuff like this and Camomo and Anarchy have shown how there's no integrity left in competitive gaming, if there ever was any.
Honestly as someone who played mw3 on xbox360 there were cheaters on that too. Just not as many.

9 out of 10 games are like this now, small but subtle cheats. If anything is going to happen with their "VAC live" it better happen soon before a majority loses interest in the game.
I've already quit the game. Valve doesn't care so why should I? Other games at least combat the cheating and try to do something. Valve has talked for years about all these anti-cheat methods and they do NOTHING with it.

You could bring this issue up forever, and nothing will be done about it. Ever. You have an audience because they like you, not because you play this game. When you look out of your window, you will realize there is a whole other world of games you could play for your audience and leave this game behind, it's not good for your soul.
It’s whatever, let him him play what brings him joy, he plays maybe ok the north side of 20+ games a day, so its not hard to find a lot of cheaters, it helps bring the content

@@adrycough true but cheating is such a epidemic at the moment that it can ruin so many games. I wish they would tie accounts to phone numbers, it would kill a large amount of cheating since getting new numbers for your accounts is far more difficult than just making a new steam account
@@gizmoman2388 Yeah, I've given up on playing MM, people just rage hack from start now. Faceit does a good job at keeping them out. I don't remember the last time I had a cheater on there, plus, the rare times I have, they get banned pretty fast.
You can even go more hardcore like me and buy a monthly sub to not play against new accounts(aka "Super Match"). Completely ridiculous that I have to pay a monthly sub to a 3rd party service to play this game though. Haven't suspected anyone of cheating since having the sub.
The truly crazy part is- this isnt just 70-90% of global games, its literally every rank, every map, every mode, every “trust” factor and level of it- there’s simply no escaping cheaters in cs.
Even if they seem legit, i can always tell that they have walls or a trigger bot on- especially when they pull that scout out second round😂 thats when the game usually ends for me. I play it out but its never worth it because even if i almost beat them, they just rage and spin because if u do get banned by some miracle, accounts are infinite. Theres no hardware bans, theres no checks and balances. They would need to ad an ai that spectate or employ several hundred if not thousand people to review in game footage if not live then immediately after game play- dont know how they’d afford that but… thats the only way. We literally need someone holding our hands like hall monitors because people cant play without cheats.
This is coming from someone who has 7 accounts, three tied to phone numbers- 1 brand new, 3 5years old, never used cheats, played tons of games in dmg before the update and never been red trusted and still 90% of my games have someone obviously walling, and either trigger botting or low fov aimbot, its really sad because silver used to be easy to get out of if you can aim, now theres people with aimbot in it😅 wonder what globals like in mm… closeted cheater vs closet cheat- or blatant vs blatant?
Valve will do nothing meaningful about this problem, meaningful would be to ban 60% or potentially even more of their player base at this point. Their case revenue with sharply drop, and that to them would be a very hard pill to swallow.

I've been playing for 9 years and always play with a full stack and we review demos whenever we suspect someone. It honestly seems like atleast 2 people in every single match are cheating, garbage crosshair position, movement, utility usage etc but able to perfectly preaim every existing angle and win every single duel mainly from timing. You should all play Faceit or Esportal. I promise you will see a massive improvement in your games. :)
15k and above theres certainly 1 cheater in every game

hello can you please investigate why absolutely anyone is getting banned anymore, at least according to convar stats. if you look at them like a year before with wayback machine there were like 500 bans per day. now barely 10
I play with my top 1% elo friend and every day we get a game where the enemy is cheating, and our teammates say "hey you want us to fuck them up" cuz they also have cheat in case enemy cheating. Valve is so bad at making an anti cheat, the players just have to be their own anti cheat. And when those people are tilting and taking an L, eventually they will cheat too, for non-AC purposes. Valve is just creating more cheaters because they arent banning any. Good job volvo maybe release another case so you get some money so you can finally hire some programmers that is something else than russian child hacker prodigy labor. Or you know, just buy anti cheat from FaceIt, and make it another layer that people using FaceIt AC only play against FaceIt AC players. At least in FaceIt cheaters use soft aim and not just full rage cheats every 3 games in high elo.
I'm really pissed about the current situation. Most of the games contain one cheater that own the enemy team with 35+ kills the rest of the team is just garbage. There where 2 weeks last month where we were able to get out ouf 5k close to 10k then the cheater came back to thrown us all back close to 6k.
Skins are the reason why this problem will never be fixed. Valve has no incentive to work on their anti cheat system because they make a lot of money from the skin market

It's wild how all these players with garbage movement, garbage crosshair placement, bad spray control, no valuable skins, and vanilla profiles happen to have a God-tier level of awareness and just happen to know a bunch of wall bangs, including wall bangs that don't actually exist >_< It's so weird how they completely avoid checking corners and sneaky spots, except the rounds that you're playing those spots. It's also interesting how they never peek or check angles properly, unless you're playing them *sarcasm*

as someone whos been to 22k twice, its filled with cheaters at higher elos. most dont witness it as much
Cheating is surprisingly common even in casual modes and deathmatch. It has really gotten out of control with CS2. The lack of overwatch is one big reason, imo.
