The Abandoned Chinese Village that Nature Reclaimed

A deserted Chinese village called Houtouwan becomes completely overrun by vegetation, an urban world overrun by nature. The effect is so surreal that tourists from all over China stop by for a look.

I would love to visit this village and I wonder if it's protected by any Chinese governmental agency. Designating it as a National Park would save it, otherwise it will probably be ruined as it becomes more popular as more people move back.

It's kinda a double edged sword. Since abandoned, it would eventually disappear without anyone remembering. It's beautiful and worth appreciating but too often people are destructive

Nature is a real living entity that has thrived long before we appeared and will continue to do so long after we leave.
