@@andreafranco5551 during my tour years ago, the tour guide took us to a shop that looked exactly like this, with holes in the counter that she told us once held food for sale.
@@andreafranco5551 My grandfather and his brothers left Italy to come to the States before WW2. I was the first of the family to make it back to visit. Stayed in Rome, but visited Pompeii. Its amazing. Also came back and visited Venice a few years later.
What always strikes me in things like this is how calm and clean everything feels without brands labeled on everything. Nowadays food stands like this are plastered with Coca Cola/whatever and every single object from the fridges to the to-go cups make sure you know who manufactured them with huge lettering. Just a random thought I had.
Same Color scheme of most Fast Food places nowadays. What are the odds. I hear the Yellow and Reddish/Maroon color makes people hungry. It's as if the Romans knew that.
Idk if they would prevent theft, but commercial outlets such as these, had wooden shutters that could be extended at the end of the day. If you look along the threshold of the building you can see an ident where they sat.:))))
I've seen this place when I visited years ago. Amazing to see it like this. Respect to whomever put this together, it really brings it to life.
What are you talking about they discovered it in 2020

The floor is not at all the same as the original, missing the outer sliding door and the phallus next to it...

How does this shop prevent theft at night??? Everything is just totally open on two sides...
