From experiences on SM groups before, they mostly do this to make the performance smoother (some vocals can be quite unstable in new songs no matter how great they are). And other times SM just don't want to overstrain their voices. they do have a lot of performances in a given promotional period so they want to avoid vocal cord injuries and stuff I guess. But you are right they really nailed it on live stages!
i keep repeat this performance and holycrap i want more Jisung rapping because his deep voice omg. they are so talented and such a pro even Mark and Haechan can't join with them. they did a great job!

I'm looking forward to their full album comeback of course with 7 members ... SM should really pay more attention to this unit.

But either way, Jaemin absolutely KILLED Mark's rap. Holy shit. And that little modification he made in the choreography for that part is.. I daresay, very attractive.

Why did sm make them lip sync in live shows cause we all knew they could sing live but wow. This just really confirms it..
