Про борщ - из России: в моей семье принято свеклу для борща резать мелко и тонко , даже натереть на тёрке и отдельно от остальных овощей потушить на растительном масле, с добавлением сахара (половина маленькой ложки) на сковороде . Свеклу добавить к остальным овощам в конце приготовления борща. будет другой вкус.

Your cake did look yummy, I'm glad it tasted good too. Strawberries are so good right now, there needs to be a way to put more on a cake! I like artificial nails too, so easy! Christmas is literraly big in most countries in the world. If there are countries without grand celebration for Christmas, I can only think of probably Middle East. Christmas is no longer religious celebration anymore but more of a global celebration now.
Christmas is a global holiday. But what has surprised me is in Taiwan they celebrate Thanksgiving with turkey and the whole works.
