Soil erosion and settlement often cause concrete slabs in patios, sidewalks and driveways to sink into the ground. This type of settlement isn't just unsightly; it can also cause more damage and can be a safety hazard. Water tends to pool on sunken surfaces and unleveled floors cause a trip hazard.
Until now, the only solution available to repair sinking slabs was mudjacking, a process that involves drilling large holes in the slab to inject a mixture of cement and mud underneath, to raise it back to level.
Foundation Supportworks, an industry leader in the development of foundation repair technologies and solutions, proudly introduces the most advanced alternative to mudjacking - the PolyLevel System.
The PolyLevel System is a state-of-the-art approach to repairing sinking concrete slabs. It combines the concept of mudjacking with the most advanced technology.
Instead of using a mix of mud and cement to raise the slab, PolyLevel utilizes high-density polyurethane specially engineered for this purpose.
The advantages of using PolyLevel over conventional mudjacking are many. PolyLevel is lighter than mud-cement mixes (4lbs per cubic foot opposed to 120lbs) so it will not overburden the loadbearing soil beneath the concrete and lead to further settlement. The expanding nature of the material allows it to penetrate crevices in the soil, completely filling the cavity and safely raising the slab to the desired level.
PolyLevel can be installed in just one day, through smaller, dime-sized holes drilled in the concrete and just 15 minutes after installation you can walk or drive over the slab!
There is no need for extended periods of curing, as is the case with cement and mud compounds.
Foundation Supportworks is a foundation repair company you can trust . We're the largest and most reputable foundation repair network in the world, with dealers across the U.S., Canada and U.K. For more information about the PolyLevel System, or to locate a PolyLevel installer near you visit our website or call us today!

Very cool sped up shots showing how the concrete slabs move.
As usual, commentators are saying why wasnt it done right the first time... but they forget most people who pay for the work are not the crappy contractors that are doing the work. Or maybe they bought a home with some defects for a lesser amount knowing the driveway needs work and must get done. Cant you just comment on the product?! Which appears to work wonders with ease. I hope those using it are satisfied with the end result. New technologies brought into construction continue to amaze me. Congrats to Polylevel and Foundation Supportworks for getting the word out.
For smaller jobs such as a few slabs near our entry way we were quoted $850 this is in Rochester, MN.
What a use of technology! Really impressed how full procedure of raising #concrete slab in perfect way. Keep up the good work.
Satisfying to watch
Awesome vid. Really like this sort of thing.
Would like to see more. Keep it up.
I love this channel.amazing stuff
awesome, you guys do a great job
Closed cell polymer foams offer benefits which go beyond the goal of leveling hard surfaces. They will not retain moisture, which in northern climates can cause frost heaving. They are not subject to erosion once in place. Their fast cure time allows for immediate use when application is complete. Their light weight, 3 to 8 lbs. per cubic ft. vs. 100 to 120 lbs. per cubic ft. for cementious grout will not cause further settlement. Foams will retain their cured shape and volume indefinitely reducing the possibility of new voids forming below grade to nearly zero unless acted upon by some outside cause. The negative is it's more expensive than Mudjacking.
That's nice.... thank you.
That is really freaking cool
Wow this is really cool!!
Hi Brandy,
Because of the unknown variables beneath a slab, it is difficult to quantify the exact lifting capacity, however a reasonable estimate of the lifting force on a typical project will range from 2,000 to 4,000 pounds per square foot. In other words, it can lift very heavy structures!
This is a brilliant product does it have a weight cap?
This is exactly the answer I've been looking for. I'm on the board of directors at a small condo in Peterborough and the 3 story building was originally commercial office space and therefore temporary to around 20 years.
Now at 33 yrs old we have a small slab at the base of our rear stairwell that has been sinking and broken away from the wall, has now gaped to approx 3/4" and keeps sinking.
Do you have contractors/engineers near or around Peterborough ON?
For Denver, Concrete Stabilization Technologies (aka CST Stabilization) has been successfully doing this since 1996.
Good video

Hello Todd,
Thanks for watching!
PolyLEVEL is an inert substance that provides no food value for rodents and insects and as such, the material is pest resistant.
Looks AWESOME!!! Who do I call?
Paid $2K for this two years ago and now there’s nothing under those slabs! Going to jack it up fill with gravel and soil this time.
You didn't get any kind of warranty?
American roads pretty much need this everywhere...
This insane
How long can this concrete foundation last after being raised? Thanks.
Cool stuff.
Do you have a tab for that guitar lick at 1:30 ? ;)
This look so fascinating. How much is this stuff?
Do I have to bang my head while they are raising my porch?
And on a less serious note, how are the results 10...20 years down the road?
How it's possible to keep whole construction (slabs etc) in level?
Wondering how well it will age...
cool
i love this jam, who cares if it works
Essa tecnologia existe no Brasil?
what about pests that undermine the side walks now, will they chew up this material?
Todd
If this is polyurethane foam, let me tell you a story. We had an old Hot Springs spa that was loaded with PU foam and Carpenter ants got in there and made quite a nest. If you live an area prone to a lot of pests, you can be sure some will find their way in, and that foam will lose it's structure over time
what will dissolve this stuff? Need to get it out from under a walkway section to raise manually after a failed contractor attempt!
Guys, its driving me insane here. Can anyone tell me the name of the song playing in the background? i love the music.
Rancho la misión
Is it environmentally safe?
+mazack00 That's exactly what I was thinking too.
Probably not.
CraziestApe
Concrete doesn't release toxic chemicals to ground when it gets wet. This foam does tho.
/Edit: Oh, so he removed his comment
odisy64 What I think ASFALT21 is incorrectly talking about is the "near future" life of these products, as in if they sit on/in the ground for another 1,000 years. The concrete will break down into soil which can support life, while the polyurethane puddle of particles cannot (except a particular strain of fungus apparently). PolyLEVEL states that the product is environmentally friendly only on the grounds that the product itself is using recycled hydrocarbons. So, it's a trade off. Those hydrocarbons are gonna end up somewhere eventually. I personally think it's funny that we're flooding the planet with particles that normally don't exist in nature. Maybe more life will evolve to eat it.
Is there a company that does this in Elberton, GA?
What would the cause be for a slab 10 x 10 raised about an inch and a half patio
Any suggestions for front porches that have pulled away from the house i.e. front has sunken so back is now about 3-4 inches from house?
can this foam be used to raise dropped standards?
Can this material be applied in commercial utility buildings? Seeking to specify for a village maintenance building. Slab is used for parks & rec equipment parking and a few municipal vehicles. Lift would be up to 8" in some areas. Location: Westchester County, NY
hoh sis, did you get the joj done?
Our dogs have dug big holes under our patio. Can this be used to fill that in?
it seems like injecting superplasticized concrete under pressure would accomplish the same thing and be stronger.
Подскажите пожалуйста где эту пену можно купить в России, либо может кто-то занимается этими работами?
Очень интересно видео. :) Вот молодцы америка!!
Seems like there would be a high risk of the slab cracking when you try to raise it. Then not only do you have to remove it, but also clean up the enormous mess you left underneath.
My home slab has broken due to a broken drain in it. Could this raise that part of my foundation prior to repairing the broken drain pipe? And is this available in Central Arkansas?
Hello Martha W.
Thanks for watching!
PolyLEVEL has tremendous lifting capabilities and would likely be a great solution for this application. The ability to lift a residential foundation is very common, but there are a few variables to consider that could be evaluated by a local PolyLEVEL installer who could provide a free inspection and estimate for the repair. If the broken drain has caused water to saturate the soil below your home, PolyLEVEL has formulations available that are specifically designed for use when standing water is present.
We do have dealers serving Arkansas, including central areas of the state. You can locate your area dealer visiting bit.ly/findmydealer and entering your ZIP code.
And this children is how babies are made. Women are always telling me-- "Barnaby, strip down to your fedora and give me some of that pleasure polylevel foam of yours." With a tip of my hat and a wink of my eye I oblige the m'lady as only a mighty sumo warrior can.

What happened to the days when things where done properly?
We retired and nobody wanted to listen to our experiences so we just share them with each other at McDonalds every morning. You'll see us over there in the corner
its sad that no one respects a skill and a job well done anymore
becton98 I believe it's a world wide concern.
it is, you hardly ever see someone being proud to own a piece of furniture hand made by a skilled woodworker anymore
becton98 So most people that KNOW HOW to work on their own house or to build furniture only work on other peoples houses and NOT their own because they know how to! But since they don't have the time, and since they don't want to pay somebody cuz it won't get done according to their liking and would most likely cost too much, the project usually waits for after hours because they've been working all day, but then they can't get to it after hours either because they've been working all day and now they're tired, the project usually waits till summer, but then they can't do it during summer because that's when all the new work comes in and when hubby makes all his money, so this is where wifey comes in to nag them till they finally get around to it.
Expanding foam is construction's answer to duct tape.
DrumhellerParanormal-
Great concept, however when i had someone come to my house in Michigan to bid it out, their bid was all over the place. It started off way to expensive ($2200) then once i said it was out of my price range it magically dropped almost a $1000 dollars. At that point i felt like the contractor was not trustworthy and there was too much inconsistency in his bids. Would have loved to try the product and am still looking for an alternative solution.

it looks just like regular POLIURETHANE foam with fast expanding ... so yes toxic it is
I'm about to get a quote up here in Canada and people tell me it's very expensive is this true?
YES. No matter where you are, anything that's better than whatever came before will always carry a premium price. Wait a couple of years. Let the first few franchisees go broke. The ones who follow might learn a lesson.
PolyLEVEL is an extremely cost effective solution that is typically only a fraction of the cost of concrete replacement. Of course, the cost of each project varies based on the size of the slab, the amount of void beneath the slab, and the amount of lift required. However, PolyLEVEL installers have a proprietary software program that is used to estimate the amount of material needed to complete the job. The software is extremely accurate and allows ours contractors to give precise pricing to their customers before they commit to having the work done. PolyLEVEL installers offer free, no obligation estimates, so it only makes sense to get an estimate for the repair and see if it is a solution that will work well for you.
In addition to being a cost effective solution that is installed by BBB accredited contractors, the system provides long term results that are unmatched by other product alternatives. Here are some of the major differences between PolyLEVEL and the other options:
o Slab Replacement
§ Expensive
§ Messy - Yard/Landscape destruction
§ Time consuming - takes several days or weeks for concrete to cure
§ Likely does not solve the underlying issue, which is the soil beneath the slab
§ Concrete color and texture mismatches between existing slabs and replaced slabs
§ No warranty!
o Mudjacking
§ Multiple, large, visible holes in the concrete
§ Messy / “Blow-outs” that can spray a concrete slurry all over the property
§ Enormous amount of weight added to underlying soil which promotes additional slab settlement (40 times heavier than PolyLEVEL)
§ Slab cannot be driven on for several days until mudjacking material cures
§ Prone to wash out - requiring multiple applications over time
§ Not a long term solution
o PolyLEVEL Solution
§ Small sized injection holes (smaller than a penny) are nearly invisible after installation
§ Fast cure time - can drive on within 15 minutes
§ Lightweight - Approximately 40 times lighter than mudjacking materials and won’t add weight to already unstable underlying soils
§ Expansion of the PolyLEVEL foam has the ability to lift extremely heavy loads
§ Most precise lifting capability of all slab jacking alternatives
§ Non-invasive equipment and neat installation; perfect for inside or outside projects
§ The material is fully waterproof and cannot not wash out or be impacted by freeze thaw cycles.

What is the guarantee for the lifetime of the foam? I've heard claims that the foam deteriorates after 5 years or so.
When placed beneath a slab, PolyLEVEL will not deteriorate or breakdown to any significant degree for decades. Polyurethane has been used below slabs in the United States since 1989 and its popularity has steadily grown over the past two and a half decades. Because of it successful track record, its usage has expanded in to high profile applications such as airport runways, race tracks, highways and rail roads. The material is fully waterproof and cannot wash out from beneath the slab. It’s life span and capabilities in below slab applications are unmatched.
Because polyurethane is impacted by ultraviolet light, some above ground applications will discolor and breakdown relatively quickly. In below slab applications, ultraviolet light is not typically a concern.

With all due respect, this foam jacking doesn't work for shit. At least it didn't on mine. I had this done at my home to attempt to level a landing at my front porch and another in my backyard to level a small slab but not only was it unsuccessful, but the process ended up creating 2 new cracks at each location and now I am worse off than before. After the job, they sealed the initial crack to prevent any water from going in but completely ignored giving any TLC to the new cracks it created... as if it never happened.
How long will it last?

mazack00 Exxon, Conoco, Chevron, Halliburton. Go after these guys about their toxic spillage. Dont go after some small time company who are probably providing an affordable alternative to an expensive problem and are probably not affecting the environment. What kind of data do you have to support your claims? you just are assuming a level of toxicity and basically slandering this company without ANY data or research. Are you aware of the state and federal regulations? You realize that the computer you own, and smartphone you own are composed of more toxic materials than this polyurethane foam. And the gas you use in your car, thats an entirely other level of toxicity. But nope, you are concerned with some company that probably services a few clients a week.

Polyurethane has been used below slabs in the United States since 1989 and its popularity has steadily grown over the past two and a half decades. And, because the product is injected underground and not exposed to ultraviolet light, the lifespan and capabilities of PolyLEVEL™ are unmatched.
А на сколько лет этой чудодейственной монтажной пены хватит?
this is what i do for a living lol
What are those things you screw into the concrete?
How much does it cost?
It will cost whatever they can get you to spend. I've seen little old ladies who paid $5,000 for a job which I contracted out in the same neighborhood for $1200. Find "mud jacking" in your local yellow pages. Compare. CHECK REFERENCES -- drive by and see the work. Avoid anyone who says the price is only for that one day - keep in mind that every city/town/village that does consumer sting operations finds pretty much the same results: about 50% of blue collar work has ripoffs built into the transaction. Whether it's Consumer Reports with a national test sample of various sized towns, looking for specifics like "Appliance Repair" or "Roofing" or Concrete driveways" or framing or stucco or -- you get the picture? It is a culture of cheating. Sears subcontracts the work, adds 20% and hold the contractors' feet to the fire but in the end, in the last 50 years, the sting operations all come out the same: HALF the time, blue collar work rips you off. Whether it's a little or a lot depends on you.
Mike Nestle I appreciate your response Mike. This is very informative.
I am in Winnipeg Canada. Will search in my local area for this. Thanks again!
