- These three were probably the Peverell brothers reincarnated! According to legend, the Peverell Brothers, Antioch, Cadmus, and Ignotus, encountered Death and received the Deathly Hallows. The oldest brother, Antioch, wanted a wand that could not be beaten. Cadmus, the middle brother, pined for a girl that he had lost to death and received the Resurrection Stone. And the youngest brother, Ignotus, wanted to live a normal life, so he got the Invisibility Cloak and greeted Death as a friend when his time came. Similarly, Voldemort was willing to kill and sacrifice everything for power like the eldest Peverell. Snape tragically lost his love and dedicated his life to protecting Lily's child and keeping her alive in memory like the second brother. Lastly, Harry greeted Dumbledore who represents Death as an old friend, like the third brother.

I think it’s symbolic parallels rather than character reincarnations.
I think so too.
I made it 111 likes
It's desendants as well
At least for Harry and Voldemort we know they are descendants of the youngest and oldest brother. For snape i am not sure
It would be pretty cool tho
And Harry wanted to live a normal life without Dumbeldore talking to him about Voldemort every 2 seconds
Yes, true
lol
Ain't that the truth 🤣
Harry: Professor Dumbledore please shut the f*ck up
Dumbledore: hey Harry, Vold...
Harry: not again please
Dumbledore: if you listen to me I'll give you 1000 points for Gryffindor
Harry: so what's with no-nose again?
In the Books, Harrys ancestors were actually revealed to be the Peverell brothers, theyre buried in Godrics Hollow.
even voldemort ancestors were peverell brothers
Yup true..in fact potters' are decendant of ignotus the 3rd brother..and voldemort is decendant of cadmus the second brother from his mother bloodline..that's why voldy got the ring the horcrux he put which the stone's in fact the resurrection stone..and harry's invisibility cloak is the genuine one inherited from his father..
But also, every wizard is related if you go back enough. Small population
Yup thats how harry got the invisibility cloak
Also Dumbledore is the representation of Death itself: he's the source of all 3 gifts, had the power to continue existing indefinitely (Philosopher's Stone or in USA Sorcerer's Stone) and personally chooses when to remove himself from the living world, and greets Harry at the point between life and the next existence.
Edit: Ah, they have a tiny quip the end about this~
But you ended up brilliantly expanding on it and giving information that the short didn't have so A+ work nevertheless!
I think to explain this further is that before Harry's parents were killed, they gifted the Cloak to Dumbledore, as a means of keeping it a secret, and to show their trust in him, which he then gave to Harry, as a means of keeping his family tradition alive. If i can remember, Snape found the ring with the gem that can allow the user's to see their dead loved ones, of course the ring was cast with a spell to eventually kill those who wore it. and finally, The Elder Wand, which Dumbledore won in a duel with the man he loved. Unlike the other Deathly Hallows, the wand wasn't passed through family, it was won in magic duels, or by killing or stealing it from the previous wielder. The gemstone ended up with Voldemort's family, as it was passed through the second brother's family, and the Cloak is self explanatory as well. just wanted to include as much info i can about the hallows.
He had all three hallows with him at one time.
Only death was the other known entity to have had them all at once.
Cuz my boy dumbs has thee preciouss
🤯 yes
The funny Thing is that Harrys invisibility cloak is the same as the one the youngest received because the cloak was passed on like a family heirloom mening that Harry is actualy related to the youngest
the same with the ring/gemstone as well, but it went to Voldemort's family as it was in the second brother's family line. which makes both Harry, and Voldemort, distant cousins.
good thing that you realized
It is even talked about in the books and Harry realized that, but it wasn't said that Voldemort is his cousin, by that I mean he is Harry's cousin but nobody mentioned it.
He is related to all three
@@gabrielthefallenachangel people have mentioned it, but also, the bloodline of wizards is not particularly varied. There was a lot of near alabama going on.
Also even tho Harry was famous, he wanted to live a normal life
This!!
he wanted to love a normal life because of his Muggle upbringing not because of his wizardly fame. He had a terrible childhood and wanted a normal life like every other kid.
All of this, plus the fact they were some of the most powerful people in the series, PLUS they were all Half Bloods. There was so much sadly poetic about these three and their relevance to the story
And they had shit childhoods. They shared a lot in common
Harry was thinking about his school " Hogwarts, where abandoned children like himself, Snape , and Voldemort found their true home". For all three , Hogwarts was the most precious place on earth.
Snape: protects harry to preserve lilys memory
Harry: breaths
Also snape: 50 points from gryffindor
Snape mast leaves appearances that he is evil and harry mast know that the most
Snape could stop play deatheater moment before his death and show that he was not evil (tears)
Technically that could be true because Harry is a descendant of Ignotus. From the story of the Deathly Hallows, we can see that Ignotus passed down his invisibility cloak on to his son. Which means that the invisibility cloak gets passed on to generations. Harry received the invisibility cloak from his father (well, Dumbledore gave it to him). That's why it could be true that they are reincarnations of the brothers.
Voldemort is a descendant of the middle brother. Harry is a descendant of the youngest. It’s confirmed.
Yup
Actually all the 3 brothers are the ancestors to harry and voldy, since Harry's ancestor is ignotus, the others would still be his ancestors since they are bloodly related, same with voldy moldy
@@AestheticallyUnalive considering James and Lily moved to Godric's Hollow, where the statue of Ignotus lies perhaps Harry is not descended from him at all. It could be thought however that Godric Gryffindor might have been.
@@SantomPh actually godric Gryffindor is the only one that didn't make or did any kids, and it even stands in the website that ignotus is Harry's ancestor
@@AestheticallyUnalive you mean ancestors, don't you?
Your descendants are the family members who came after you (children, grandchildren, ...).
Your ancestors are the family members who came before you (parents, grandparents, ...).
So the three brothers would be their ancestors not descendants..
I love how Harry Potter is like an onion it has so many layers. You could read the books and watch the movies for years and still find something new.
Aren’t harry and Voldemort descendants of the brothers
Yes! The reason why the Gaunt ring had the resurrection stone and the Potters had the invisibility cloak.
No jk Rowling confirmed that the theory was not true
@@layneredington846 the fact that harry and voldemort are descendants of the pevrell brothers is true. that’s how harry got the cloak and voldemort got the ring.
@@mischievousmarker6616 if u watched the movie James gave him the cloaca so James was the descendant not harry
@@layneredington846 James is Harry’s father
"It's like poetry, sort of. They rhyme. Every stanza kind of rhymes with the last one. Hopefully, it'll work." -George Lucas
I actually believe that the youngest brother was James Potter, because at the end of the story, the youngest brother gives his invisibility cloak to his son, in this case Harry, the invisibility cloak acted as Lilly’s love for Harry that protected him from death, in this case, the killing curse.
This is not to send hate to other theories or opinions, this is just what I believe, I hope no one takes this as me trying to force my opinion to be yours

Harry's a descendant of the third brother
Actually you can also say that Dumbledore represents the middle brother because he was so eager to see his sister again he put the ring on that had the stone in it not thinking about the dangers from it's being a Horcrux and cursed.
Harry and Voldemort are related to the brothers
I think Harry is a descendant of the third brother, but I’m not sure about Voldemort
@@SoreChipmunk963
Both are Harry the second (I think) and Tom the third
@@LordePhantom I thought that Harry descended from the third which is how his father gained the invisibility cloak which then led to him later getting it?
@@SoreChipmunk963
He did
My apologies
It's Voldemort who is from the third
Harry got the cloak and Voldemort got the stone
Actually both would be from the youngest, since the other two died just as soon they got one of their Deathly hallows, due the eldest dies by trying to show off his wand
And the middle one dying due suicide, because when he resurrected his wife, she was disappointed, being the cause of his death.
And the youngest was the one who lived the longest due to his cloak protecting him to death for what he was able to marry and have children
Also, he is related to the peverells, ignotus passed his invisibility cloak to his son, who then had a daughter, Lolanthe peverell, who married Hardwin Potter, and then he passed it to Henry Potter, who then passed it to Fleamont Potter, who then passed it to James Potter, who technically passed it down to Harry Potter.
I’m pretty sure I got that all right- it took a lot of searching up lol
The fact that this is what I thought
Wand: was found and given to ollivanders. Later given to Dumbledore because it belonged to his ancestors.
Stone: was never found but feelings of wishing you would get your loved one near. Passed to Snape
Cloak: was given to Harry’s grandfather and was passed to Harry’s father. When James died the cloak ended up with Dumbledore and he gave it to Harry for James.
In the end they are all related that’s why they are all very very important in the movie.
The Stone was from voldemorts family, his grandfather marvolo gaunt owned the ring with the stone in it
If you've read the books, you'd know that *Harry didn't really want the cloak of invisibility,* he instead wanted the stone of resurrection, because he had lost a lot of loved ones in his life. It was Hermione that wanted the Cloak of invisibility, and Ron that wanted the elder wand.
Snape: YOU MUST JOIN US, BROTHER!
Harry: as, sure, Boy’s Night!
Voldemort: I brought my Snakes.
AND Harry just wanted to live a normal life!
Each of the hallows forces you to confront death in a different manner. The wand forces you to face death in combat as people try to gain it. The stone is the death of loved ones, the cloak is those that avoid death by any means. To master them means you master the different faces of death
AND harry is a descendent of the third brother so he represents him.
Harry is a direct relative of the third peverill brother and Voldemort is of the second.
Marvolo's ring (the first horcrux found by dumbledore that held the resurrection stone) was Voldemort's grandfather's ring on his mother's side and HIS father was the second brother.
Harry got the cloak of invisibility from his father who he left it for dumbledore to hold on to until Harry came to Hogwarts. James got it from his father and he from his and once again.
That meant that Voldemort and Harry are actually related by blood, how they're wands were so similar and why Harry's blood was as potent as it was to Voldemort.
It is incredible effort with subtle continuity that jk Rowling put into her writing
he didn't wish for an unbeatable wand he wanted a holy hand grenade
You know… I never thought of it like that. That is pretty cool!
"probably the Peverell brothers reincarnated" bruh it's a fan theory, so it's highly unlikely to be "probable" JK Rowling has even said that it's one of her favorite fan theories and she wishes it was true. If she wishes it was true, that means it's not canon 🤦🏽♂️
The same Rowling who said that Hermione is black even though she was white the whole 7 books and 8 movies? The same Rowling who said that Cedric, A HUFFLEPUFF, would become a death eater because he lost the tri-wizard tournament even though he went out of his was to help and save Harry and told Harry to take the trophy so that Harry would win? The same Rowling who made Harry a horrible, abusive father obsessed with being famous even though Harry was NEVER like that? The same Rowling...... Shall I go on? Rowling isn't even able to keep her own lore and characters consistent.
I cried when I read Snape backstory
Yeah! Voldemort was the first brother Snape the second brother and Harry the third brother
Yes though for Snape it wasn't confirmed correct me if I'm wrong
Harry was the good one😁 thank you
As soon as you listed the three characters i knew what you were gonna say, this is the most talked about thing related to HP
Voldemort have encountered death so many time and defeated everyone.
Snape encounter death when he agreed to become double agent but he fooled dark lord and escape from death.
Harry encounter death when he was 1 year old but due to his mother's protection charm he defeated dark lord and death.
In this manner all three of them escaped or defeated death.
"Did you notice?" dude the last movie literally shoves it in our faces lol
I think it would actually be James Potter since it says he gave the clock to his son.
I see this idea a lot and I strongly disagree,
Voldemort did not know of the deathly hallows. Or it is never implied by him in the books or movie. He had the stone only because it was something he thought was rightfully his. And never used it for its powers. Never knew about the powers. Dumbledore claimed this in book 7. After harry “dies”
I think that there is more of an argument to make for Harry, Dumbledore and Grindelwald being the three. Harry being the third brother with the cloak, and accepting of death. Dumbledore the second brother with the stone & his love and loss of his sister, thus leading to the hand decaying. and Grindelwald the first brother with the elder wand and his power hungry ideas to have the ultimate wizarding world.
Another thing all three had in common was their home life: they grew up as outcasts, being treated differently by their families (the matrons and other orphans in Tom’s case), and were all likely abused as children.
I just love how VOLDMORT didnt know about the deathly hallows😂🤣 like Harry and Snape knew cuz of Dumbledore! And VOLDMORT feared Dumbledore for he destroyed a really powerful wizard before but VOLDMORT never stopped to think about the Dumbledore o the wizard he defeated past🤷♀️😂 like how over confident you have to be to just look for the elder wand but not know the significances of the 3 hallows
Voldemort
My favorite theory is that ignotus was a potter and passed the cloak down his family and that's why James had it and was able to gift it to Harry
its actually canon
The Peverells became the Potters through a woman named Iolanthe, who was the granddaughter of Ignotus Peverell. Ignotus was one of the three brothers who owned the Deathly Hallows. Iolanthe married Hardwin Potter, whose father Linfred was a famous healer and inventor. Iolanthe inherited the Cloak of Invisibility from her father and passed it down to her descendants in the Potter family. Harry Potter is one of those descendants and he learns about his cloak and his ancestor Ignotus in his seventh year at Hogwarts.
Dumbledore:” from beyond the grave, I’m awarding a infinity amount of points to Gryffindor!”
No one talks about this but voldemort and harry are related because volsemort was a descendant of the secknd brother and harry was the descendent of the third brother
The funniest thing though, is that Harry is likely related to the youngest brother. The cloak was passed down father to son for generations, so, logically, Harry Potter is related to the youngest brother.
Thank you for giving me more information to brag about my sister while she needs to watch Harry Potter
It’s symbolic parallels. Not reincarnations. They don’t have the same desires as those people. They are similar. The one who wanted the Elder Wand to be unstoppable is like Voldemort. The one who wanted the stone is like Snape. I believe the third brother is more like Harry’s father though. It even says that the third brother passed down his cloak to his son when it was time for him to die. Even though Dumbledore gave Harry the cloak of invisibility, his father had intended for it to go to Harry anyways.
PS: Dumbledore doesn’t represent death either. Another person who has misinterpreted things…. Dumbledore was in the afterlife and just chatted with Harry, who was on the verge of death. The afterlife also appears however someone wants. That’s why Dumbledore asked what Harry thought the place looked like (King’s Cross Station).
That ever lasting love and sad that Snape had in his heart throughout his Life makes him most likable and relatable character for all men...
Thoughtful not many CCs can deliver a thought provoking piece on a novel based movie series that began well over twenty years ago.
I always thought that it was Harry, Voldemort and Dumbledore. Dumbledore is a halfblood like Harry is, after all (because of his mother). And, like you mentioned with Snape, his biggest regrets were the death of his sister, Ariana, and his subsequent broken relationship with his brother, Aberforth, and along with that the whole deal with Grindelwald and later Voldemort.
😮 wow, I realized growing up that this story goes so much deeper then I’d comfortable with
Well done! Good theory! 👏👏👏
In the books it is canon that Harry is a decendant of the third brother and the invisibility Cape is the same Cape that the third brother used.
And Tom riddle was a decendant of Cadmus
I never actually realised this. Holy smokes.
The youngest brother is actually a forfather to Harry Potter because the cloak was past down throughout the family.
And Dumbledore is actually responsible for the Harry's parents death.
He had borrowed the cloak and a short time after that Voldypants attacked the potters.
If james has that cloak he could have hidden his family from Voldyshorts and they never would have been killed.
The 3rd brother was craftier instead wanted to hide from death till he was ready. When he grew old . He took of the cloak and greated death as an old Freind.
Well that and the third Peverell brother was the only one to have descendants…
The wand was taken and the stone was probably magically inherited.
It’s part of the items’ natures. Those who use the wand will have it taken from them (and killed, their family too probably). Those who use the stone will be obsessed with the dead, not having a living family.
Only with the cloak do you have someone who can hold onto the wand and live/survive long enough to have descendants.
Elder wand made from elder tree and a thestreal feather.
Ressurection stone made from a heart stone from a thestreal
Invisibility cloak made from the skin of a thestreal...quite surprised no one in hp series figured that one out
Omg the complexity and details of the books are 💥💥💥
The three bothers is a symbol of the trinity in polarization.
The left, the right and the middle. The evil, good and undecided. The father, mother and son, etc.
If you’ve read the books you’ll know that Harry is a descendant of the peverells, and the legend states that the person who holds all 3 hallows would be the master of death - immortal. That’s why voldemort is on his shit, he doesn’t want to die.
Super cheap way of having viral content. It’s not even canon. And here I am commenting anyway 🙄
As is Voldemort
@@ethan.-714 Harry and Voldemort are not related. When Voldemort tried to kill Harry and the curse bounced back, he created a horcrux, meaning he unintentionally put a piece of his soul into Harry which is why they have a connection. They are not related.
@Michael Pluto What are you talking about? Voldemort was a descendant of Salasar Slytherin
that would make either Peverells Slytherins, or Slytherin a Peverell
@@dawidjanik545 nah, voldemort was both the descendant of Slytherin and Peverell. That's why his mother had the Slytherin locket and his Grandfather had the resurrection stone. They are both family heirlooms.
@Michael Pluto that’s an incredibly distant relation though. That’s like saying you and I both descended from Abraham Lincoln so we are related. Maybe even farther back than that, it’s barely a relative. And it’s not related in any way to the conflict later on.
Fun fact: Voldemort is a descendant of Cadmus and Harry is a descendant of Ignotus, which makes Harry and Voldy related
Harry is a descendant of the youngest brother but voldemort is a descendant of the middle brother cause the resurrection stone was set in a ring owned by the gaunt family. Snape may be a descendant of the eldest brother but the way pure blood families interbred they may be descendants of all 3 brothers.
Cool! I never thought of it any other way, but that Harry Potter was a great+grandson of Ignatis.
Harry is the defendant of the third brother and that is why he has the invisibility cloak also Voldemort is a descendant of the second brother and the gaunt ring has resurrection stone inside of it
I believe it's more symbolic thing that a reincarnation matter.
If you buy the "Beedle the Bard" book made for the Lumos Charity, there's a fake annotation by Dumbledore.
Dumbledore stated that he doesn't believe the Peverells actually met Death, but they were powerful wizards who made the Deathly Hallows by themselves and fell because of their personal faults
Hence the Deathly Hallows tale is a cautionary tale, explaining that if you live for power and arrogance (like Antioch) or you pine for a long lost past (like Cadmus) you'll go to an early grave or die desperate and alone, but if you accept your mortality and your fate, trying to make what's right and do your best without hoping for power, love and rewards you'll live a long and happy life, you'll ultimately find love the same (Ignotus had a son) and you'll die as a fulfilled man
Voldemort and Snape failed the lessons: the first wanted power, the last couldn't let his past go and lived haunted by the ghosts of his choices and his lost love
Harry learned anything the Beedle stories had to teach him, and he achieved an happy life
I'd like to see j.k do a book about peverell brothers?did cadmus had a child before he met his fiance or did cadmus have a child with cadmus because tom jr was cadmus distant direct descendants?
My back round is related to this.
This is such a beautiful thing to be honest and I was glad when I firstly read about that and JK Rowling stated that this was a beautiful theory and should be viewed just as it was presented in the cannon.
And also Harry and Voldemort are direct descendants of the three brothers we know Voldemort is because his grandfather had the resurrection stone, and Harry is obvi cause it literally says the third brother handed the cloak to his son, and his son to his son etc.
Harry is the ultimate generation of Ignotus
Voldemort is the ultimate generation of Cadmus
Books said so
Mind blown but I think it’s more just parallels in the story more than anything, to quote George Lucas “it’s like poetry, it rhymes”
Weirdly enough Harry and Tom are also both descended from two of the brothers.
Forgive me for breaking some theories.
I can understand harry being ignotus' descendant.
The cloak was passed from father to son.
But the stone?
The second brother's lover died before they can marry, so no children.
How then could the stone be passed down?
Did ignotus get the stone and pass it to his descendants along with the cloak?
Did cadmus have children with another woman before he died?
I think that the wand and the stone are very similar in nature.
Once the stone makes the wearer grieve so much they commit suicide. Another wizard investigating the scene might have found the stone and the cycle repeats.
Meaning, if a wizard/witch who may have chanced on the stone may not necessarily be cadmus' descendant.
Until, the gaunt's ancestors decided to put the stone on the ring and pass it down as an heirloom.
Movie flame a RUclips channel actually confirm this is accurate
if something, Tom would be the reincarnation of his ancestor (Cadmus) and Snape the reincarnation of Antioch but it doesn't fit and Antioch didn't had any descendant.
by the way. the reasons they got those items are, slightly, different.
Cadmus wanted to humiliate death so he asked for a way to resurrect the dead. in the end, he commited suicide to truly reunite with his deceased wife.
this doesn't fit with Snivelus Snake who was murdered because of nothing. it wasn't on his plans to even sacrifice himself. voldemort decided to kill him to gain access to the elder wand. Also, Cadmus used the stone to "bring back" his loved one. snape did nothing remotely similar.
Ignotus, the only one with a brain, asked for a way to avoid death so death gave him the cloak. once Ignotus decided he had lived enough, he removed the cloak, passed it to his descendant and welcomed death like an old friend.
this doesn't match with what harry did. even if Dumb the dork represents death (why?) it wasn't harry who welcomed Dumb the dork but the oposite. and he didn't left with Dumb the dork. he choose to return to the living world.
I know this theory of Tom, Harry, Snape being the reincarnations of the three brothers is well known and some people love it but it doesn't fit.
I could claim that Ron, Hermione and Harry were the three reincarnations since each valued a different hallow.
if we want to talk about reincarnations and match each hallow with a character... the trio formed by Tom, Harry and Albus would fit more.
Tom would choose the cloak to hide from death (he made the horcrux to avoid death)
Albus would choose the stone (to bring back his deceased, and loved, sister)
Harry would choose the wand to fight against evil and protect those he care for (he became an auror)
but this is as absurd as saying that Tom, Harry and Snape are the three brothers reincarnated.
Really feel bad for Snape man...lost his girl in life and death, was hated by the her kid who he was protecting him the whole time until his last moments.
I knew this but I did not know there names lol so Ty
It's a nice parallel but in the books Voldemort is said to totally ignored the existence of the deathly hallows, in fact he even ignored to actually have seen and touched the stone that was ring of his ancestors and put an horclux in it instead. He only wanted the wand to cause its past of blood had made magic history and so it was known to be an extremely powerful wand
I think it’s more drawing parallels than actual reincarnations.
The irony is Voldemort is descended from the second brother, both were obsessed with death, but in completely different ways. One being haunted by loss and wanting to resurrect his lost love, and the other desiring immortality.
Most people assume it’s the first brother, because of the power obsession.
We all know Harry is descended from the third brother because of the cloak. The surname Peverell only changed to Potter because Ignotus’ son only had daughters and passed it on to his eldest daughter, Lolanthe, who married Hardwin Potter, she then passed it on to her son.
Harry became the master of all 3
Wow, I just noticed that when I saw this.
good analysis
Dumbledore the one who killed someone and got the most powerful wand in the world. Then Voldemort got Dumbledore wand. And Harry had the invisibility cloke. That was given to him as a gift. Also the guy who brought his love back was very unhappy so in the end he took his own life to be with her.
I did and it's amazing how she tied everything together
But i think that all these three gifts of death are of harry he was the owner of invisiblity cloth is his and after a lot of owners of elderwand harry became the owner and lastly
Well harry and Voldemort are actually descendants of the middle and youngest brothers
Dumbledore represents death because at some point, he owned all deathly hallows.
I think you put more thought into that specific comparison than the author did.
Yes! Finally a real deathly hallows theory
True except for the fact that Voldemort is actually the second brother because the resurrection stone is actually the gunt ring which he cursed to kill the wearer
✨It’s a movie so pls CaLm DoWn✨
I see the Thematic Parallels, but has reincarnation been established in the Wizarding World?
There are Ghosts, and there is an afterlife, but they seem to stay dead.
And snape didn't sacrifice he's life to protect harry, he did it just for Lily, he say it in the memories that he give to harry before he die, he say to Dumbledore, " I taught we take car of him for Lily all this year " And the way he hate harry for stupid and non logical reason affirm that, if it was not just for Lily he wouldn't act like he did since the first time he see harry, he didn't know him but since the first time he see it he describes harry has much stupid and evil than he's father when he was a Hogwarts, he act like a child until the end
I’ll probably be the third brother because I don’t want to be famous like bragging around but I also don’t want to bring people back from the dead but I do wanna live a normal life
Dumbledore was the brother with the wand. He sacrificed everything for power and that wand when he was younger there are many references to this fact
It’s almost like she written this story on purpose! Wow…
It is my new belief that the Elder Wand is just the middle finger of death.
Well, the one brother greeted death "when his time came"... After evading him for many years.
no. harry and voldemort are actually defendants of the brothers. snape i guess could be but in the books it gets confirmed that harry and voldemort are
