Hi Chris, Cool video as usual. 😀 Since you are in the serie of warped pieces, can you tell me what you think of twisted necks and luthiers who try to straighten them. I have seen some methods of heating the wood and forcing it and so on, however, in my own opinion the wood will tend to go back into shape. What is your point of view ?
If those luthiers are changing their customers for straightening their warped or twisted necks, they are ripping them off. Once a neck warps or twists, it’s goner.
LTD doesn't sell replacement parts. That really sucks. Surely they don't believe that their instruments are so good that they'll never need parts. Because that's very far from the truth.
Just did a really warped back plate in less than 2 minutes. It had shielding foil on the back which heated it really good. I pushed it flat with my hands while hot and it came out perfect!
Can you do this with two plates of glass, leaving it in the sun for a while? I've heard that works for vinyl records.
I’ll be doing this tonight z Thanks
Those chunks of marble are really useful in some situations.
Set my reminder.

@@HighlineGuitars That's basically what I thought too. 😄
Thank you for your answer.

How about heating and clamping as you did and using a piece or two of double sided tape in the 'gaps' ?
I boiled a black pick guard recently; it stained unfortunately.
