My mom is from Juarez, Mexico. She worked at a Levi’s manufacturing plant in the early 90’s where they had programs and sponsorships for workers who were immigrants to obtain their citizenship legally. She had to learn english, work, study, and pass a test while going through all legal requirements before becoming a US citizen. Nothing was just given the way these immigrants of today feel entitled to receive. One of my best friends when I was in the army was from Liberia. He joined after graduating from his college in the states to secure citizenship.
