I watched three other videos that didn’t explain it as well as you did. I’m very happy to have finally been able to reset the indicator with your help.
I have a 2011 pilot no navigation system. I followed the owners manual and nothing. I spend less then a few minutes on your video and it worked. A million thank you's doesnt begin to tell you my appreciation.
I followed the owner's manual EXACTLY(press and hold for 10 seconds, then 5, then...) and tried it several times to no avail and then found your RUclips video. Thank you!!!! Your instruction is so much more clearer than Honda's and it worked the first time I tried it. Thank you again for posting this helpful video! You win 5 service wrench icons today. : )
Your welcome! Yes, after working on cars for some years now, I've learned that even the manufacturer's instructions are wrong sometimes. On some of these videos I'm kinda figuring it out as I go cause with some makes it's a different method for different models. Thanks for the comment, these make my day.
I have a 2011 Honda Pilot with 171000 miles. I went to the dealer and got a oil change. There are no oil leaks. For some reason the percentage on my dash is being reduced quickly this month. I went back to dealership and they couldn’t figure out why . I have plenty of oil. I went from 100% to 50% within 800 miles of driving. I do have a check engine light on but that’s due to the catalytic converter which I’ve had for years. Wondering if you would know why the percentage reduction is all of a sudden happening ?
Did you reset the oil light has the last oil change? The oil light is only a time reminder, it doesn’t actually measure the oil. To check the actual oil level and wear, you’ll need to look at the dipstick in the engine.
I just had an oil change and they never reset the indicator. Will the life go back down after a few miles if they never really changed the oil? They say they changed it and just "forgot" to reset the life.
This oil life indicator is just a timer. It can not actually tell you the "Life" of the oil you have in your car. If you just had an oil change, the oil should be a light brown color.
I watch this video every 5000 miles
Same
I have recently joined this club
This was perfect! Straight to the point. No 10 minute introduction.

Thanks, The manual does not describe it that way at all. I was starting to think I had to pat my head and rub my stomach at the same time.
Thanks bubba
Another reset , another video reference.
