Very true. I've said it before that MI brings in Three-Star recruits, that are born football players (i.e. "gym rats"). They live it and breath it. I'm not sure that $ makes a difference to those players. They just want to go-fight-win. Simple "talent" won't beat these guys.

We always replace them and move on. As I see it We have our class for 24 and the #1 class right now so far for 25 there's always the transfer portal and its a long road to signing day in December and plenty can happen recruits decommit and recommit all the time. I dont understand how anyone really was expecting a kid from Alabama to commit to OSU. While I dont agree with Fryes small net recruiting tactics I also know he aint going nowhere he was in Ryan Days wedding so 🤷 . I was hoping the ncaa would finally change the restrictions on countable coaches and there could be a surrogate of sorts for oline but im thinkin chip kelly will be a catalyst for oline improvement this season which once it plays out on the field may bring some transfer portal treasure our way next off-season. I lost my keys on eclipse day. April 8th. I was so mad when the eclipse was happening. I had to pull myself out of it so I could enjoy what I was witnessing. Costed me so much money because I missed work with no ride.
The 01 hurricanes would of won 8 games even if they never scored a offensive touchdown In 01. They had something like 16 defensive tds. And only gave up like 6 or 7 points a game. They were very talented a bit a head of there time.

And, you don’t have them indefinitely, knowing they can xfer at any moment. My problem with Kirk’s comment is that, THE EXACT SAME REASONING APPLIES TO NIL. And, the last game Simmons played he was an absolute trainwreck. Our OL is a HUGE question mark, and has been since Urban Meyer’s last recruited team (i.e. Ryan Day’s first year as HC). I brought this up on their last show: The military is all voluntary because you can’t pay someone to care, or to have passion/commitment, or have an appreciation for tradition. NIL is like that. And, NIL opens up these kids to major criticism, if they don’t play up to the standard of a 7-figure check. We have kids on this team who, in-spite of their athletic ability, are only committed as much as NIL allows. How is Ryan Day going to get that kid to respect the UM rivalry??? He’s already lost two staff to UM. Clearly they didn’t respect that rivalry. In big games, NIL’s not enough….not even CLOSE. And, now in the state of FL, high schools are allowing NIL. Which means that “I get paid whether the team wins or not” mentality will have already been allowed to fester before they set foot on campus. How does Ryan Day fix that? I hope Ryan Day wins out this year….I really do. He’s an incredible mentor to these kids. But, this NIL thing is going to destroy college football from the inside out. And, when it does, Ohio State will break the poster-child for it, given the money given to him this year. All we can hope for is that every other team in the country is having the same problems. And, the pressure that’s going to be on Ryan Day is going to be incredible given we’ve supposedly got a “historically” good team. The odds are Ryan is going to lose a game this year. I hope he doesn’t, but he probably will. It’s going to get interesting to hear how that’s addressed on this show when that happens, given everything I just said.
I don't agree that nil will ruin collage football. There making changes already to stableize it make it more sustainable. And everything in the world is based on how much money someone will pay you. Everything. Simmons is not the one that played bad. We had a center who could not make the calls or checks with a qb who has barly started with are #1 wr out. Then to make even worse we had another qb come in who had never played a collage football game having to try and play a very good sec team in a bowl game. Michigan's d line was much better than mizzu. They pretty much okay in that game. Better than alabama did. Fry is fine he brought in 5 good o linemen last class. Even if day looses a game the so be it. It's not likely to call the season your gunna win the natty.

If Justin Frye was so bad we would of lost 5 games last year considering we only had 5 guys who could even play and had to pick some out the portal who could play and he picked the 1 guy that ended up helping. How many times do people have to here it's hard to get top o linemen if there not from ohio let alone not even from are side of the country. If people want to be mad we need to be mad at the ohio high school o linemen develupment. When we can only see 1 home run guy in the state a year that's pretty bad. When ohio has over 11 million people in it. The issue is the develupment in are high schools. Why don't people start saying so thing about making there local schools are being pushed to make sure there schools are developing the high school kids better than any state. If we want to win many nattys that's where the most would count. If we could get the ohio high schools to pump out atleast 12bkids every year for osu to get we would be unstoppable.
