read Lev. 23...these are the Lords' feasts ..the weekly sabbath and the annual feast...are to be kept (as memorials) in all our dwellings , throughout all our générations. this is repeated 4x by the Lord...He wants us (His people) to remember what great things He has done for us at theses annual anniversaries
