PATSY CLINE'S MUSIC WAS THE BEST FEMALE MUSIC BACK THEN & NOW!! I WISH I WAS BORN EARLIER TO HAVE MET HER & SEEN HER IN CONCERT!! TO ME: EVEN TO THIS DAY OF 2022 I HAVE NOT HEARD ANY FEMALE'S VOICE BETTER THAN THE GREAT PATSY CLINE!! I HOPE SHE LIVES FOREVER IN THE HEART'S OF THE FAMILY & FRIENDS SHE LEFT BEHIND!! WHAT A VOICE!! SHE IS STILL MY BEST FEMALE COUNTRY MUSIC LEGEND!! 🌹
To think we get to play and hear the voice of a woman that has gone down in history as one of a kind. No one will ever equal or come close to the talent Patsy Cline had. We here in 2018 get to hear her voice as she sings numerous songs. I was blessed to hear her music first hand even though young. I was born in 1957 and was exposed to her from that point on. I had parents that played several types of music letting us make our own choices. 2018 finds me still so in love with the voice from a woman from Winchester Virginia. Virginia Patterson Hensley made history!
She accomplished so much in her 30 years of life! She stands as one of the greatest country singers of all time! Her legacy has endured the test of time.
I know she could rock. ive heard her rhythm in my soul and few others. also there were some blues that she sang real good. I think that you could sing anything.
NPR asked the question what would have happened had Patsy lived. Well, in my alternate universe I see her racking up hit after hit, divorcing Charlie because he could not come to terms being Mr. Patsy Cline. I see her becoming a multimillionaire, starting her own record label and still be the first female inducted in the Country Music Hall of Fame. I see her finding Mr. Right and marrying him while she and Charlie settle their differences and become friends. Sadly, that plane crash ended her life and stellar career. It is still heartbreaking after all these years.
The One and only! Beautiful face and one the perfect voices to walk this earth alone with the great Karen Carpenter rest in peace great songbirds of all time.:()
Her plane didn't crash into a hill. The pilot wasn't instrument rated to fly in poor visibility and lost control due to spatial disorientation and crashed into a wooded area off Highway 70.
Thank you! Everyone keeps relating to the movie "Sweet Dreams"... the plane did not crash into a hillside.... they did that for dramatic cinema. See videos here on RUclips of the actual crash site memorial. RIP Patsy
@@Patsyclinefan1the movie also made it seem like that she got kicked around by Charlie all the time and never hit back. the real Patsy Cline would fight with her fist I've read about her and she didn't take no crap.
Patsy absolutely hated " I Fall To Pieces" at first. It sounded too pop for her. She told Owen Bradley the only way she would do it is if it was the B-SIDE of a song she liked better. It was a remake of her very first single back in 1955 " A Church, A Courtroom and Then Goodbye". Bradley finally got her to do it when she found out " I Fall To Pieces" was written by Harlan Howard and Hank Cochran. The song became her first million seller and first #1.
Jerry Brownell Patsy never remade “A Court, A Courtroom and Then Goodbye”. The song she recorded, that was the b-side to “I Fall to Pieces” was “Lovin’ In Vain”, which was written by Freddie Hart of “Easy Lovin’” fame. Also technically by sales numbers, “Walkin’ After Midnight” was her first million seller, but was not awarded a Gold Disc due to Decca not auditing Country catalog sales during that time.
@@Patsyclinefan1 - I went to Patsy Cline discography on Wikipedia and you are right. As far as her remaking or re-recording certain songs I know some were later re-released on compilation albums. I know Patsy only had 3 studio albums and was working on her 4th when she died. I have read countless articles and stories and viewed countless RUclips videos on Patsy and I am sure I heard my account somewhere. Of course I am not sure the source was accurate. And upon further recollection maybe the song I read about being what Patsy wanted for the A- side to I Fall To Pieces was A Poor Man's Roses. Anyway I apologize for my original comment. I have 77 of Patsy's songs on 3 CD's I made and eventually I will have everything she ever recorded. Thanks for allowing me to ramble on like this and thanks for being a die hard Patsy Cline fan.
ron kistner Charlie and Patsy’s daughter Julie has been running her estate for the past 20+ years. She’s helped open the museum in Nashville and recently produced the Lifetime film “Patsy & Loretta” with the help of Loretta’s daughter Patsy. While Charlie and Patsy’s son Randy has kept out of the spotlight and lead a quiet life.
Three 4 Star songs charted, not one. I wish history would get it right. 41 songs total? More like 102.
NPR does seem to get many facts about Patsy wrong.
This article tried. But incorrect, and as you are concerned as well.
@@Patsyclinefan1how did you feel about the movie?
I grew up listening to Patsy!🥰 born in 77! Still love her to this day!❤😞 My heart!😢

Patsy was unique, way ahead of her time, she was like a shining star shooting and burning bright for this world.
She had a rock-a-billy side to her that few know. Some great stuff! And these are. great photos I've never seen before.

You have to consider that she took Loretta Lynn under her wing, so maybe that would hav been the way she did things as well.
The finest, most distinctive, American female singer - ever.

I hate that Sweet Dreams didn’t show the correct way in which the plane crashed, but that’s Hollywood for you.
Sounds the same sad story about Hollys pilot .Not instrument trained.
@@jennyt.fsbstudio I know, as if what happened wasn't bad enough they had to amp it up, like why!
