Teej that was some INSANE driving you did out there!! Obviously with some extra power you woulda been up there with ‘em! Love the multi-day event all in one video, like a full story🙏🏼 I see you driving Formula D someday!
350z needs to be your new “seat time Z”. Get as comfortable in the 350z as you are in the 370z. You said It breaks every time you drive it, so fix it and Keep Moving Forward😎 good work Teeg
Problem is you can’t have a “seat time” car that fry’s the tires in 2 laps. While I agree he needs to drive the car more this was the perfect opportunity to do so and for a weak reason he didn’t.
@@kevinfunk83 exactly the 350 eatssss tires, but i think we can all agree he did some great driving and it definitely would have been a different result had he had more power lol
The 350 is on a different level then this car if he did that it would actually hold him back where the 370 is a slower car where he will have to drive it harder which will teach him different tricks that he can use later on in the 350 and the 350 would also cost probably double to run compared to the 370
You know, when you first started drifting, I thought you were just pumping insane amounts of money into a car for a hobby. I'll gladly admit I was wrong and am happy to say that you've come a LONG way! Just remember, progress not perfection. You'll get that dub, just keep at it. Good job bud!
Tj out here living the dream specs we all would do. From Miley down to building and selling exotics and drifting NFS style Z’s. Been watching you since your paintball and subscriber car review days. Keep Moving Forward big dog!!!!
Whoever edited this video and picked the background music needs a raise. Feels like I’m watching a documentary. And I’m really glad you were willing to show us your failure, i think we’re often too used to seeing only the success. Seeing your frustration with failure is really relatable, and seeing how you choose to take it is really inspiring
Thanks for the transparency, not too common nowadays amongst most in a position similar to yours. It Makes the watching your journey that much more eventful. You will get to where you’re going with the level of commitment you’re displaying. We’re all rooting for you, TJ! Just know that the competitive fire you carry which seems like you can’t just switch off to have fun, it’s what’s gotten you this far in life. I obviously don’t know you personally but We all know you have incredible successes under your belt. Don’t get mad at yourself for bot being able to shut that off. Embrace it whichever way you can and keep moving forward.
I’ve been watching since calvins tron brz in the garage. i was able to meet calvin and teej at a clean culture meet in my hometown miami , much love to teej and calvin and i love the videos!!!
Bro, you were keeping up pretty damn well for being 300-400hp under your opponents...you won't want to hear it but if you had the 350 you would have been pushing some doors in lol
TeeeJ, awesome sauce! I’m by no means a pro racers, but have done a lot of “evasive and protective” driving for my security jobs I was in. Lesson 1, it’s EASY to drive a over powered and fast car, fast! If you understand how a “normal” car behave makes it easier for you to drive a “slow” car fast! Because it’s all about you operating this hunk of composite and metal! So I tip my hat, you rock! Keep moving sideways
Hey man just want to say that the keep moving forward mantra is such a powerful point, I to embrace the same value "if your going through hell just keep going" you did some damn fine driving and you should be proud of yourself for the effort you put in and the lessons you are teaching yourself. You are a bad ass man been watching your vids since you were a kid and I can say I see your growth and your determination and I respect it! Hope you get a chance to read this! KEEP MOVING FORWARD ALWAYS BROTHER!
Lol I still can’t believe I’ve been watching ur videos now for 13 years and the fact how much you’ve grown in this business man it’s truly humbling how you take and give!
TJ I love the fact that you turned a down day into a positive moment, the fact that when when you look back through the journey you’ll see thing this as one of the stepping stones that got you where you want to be!!! Never give up and keep moving forward.
Tj was able to match the levels of people driving Formula D cars with a stock Z. That is a win in my books. I’m proud of all the work you’ve put in TJ. I’ve been watching since the Halo lights on the BMW. I’m proud of what you have become.
keep pushing man! don't get discouraged at all that's what drifting is all about! FUN! you learned a ton at this event, got some great experience in the pressure that comes with competing and you laid down some amazing lines! good zone fills and fantastic car control even in follow spins for safe recovery. competing with cars is a whole different level of pressure as you know for sure. now its time to sharpen those skates re-tape that stick blade, and shred brotha! rooting for you!!!
I'm still learning the specifics about drifting, so I can't say much about the quality.. That being said, you learn more from failure then you do success. Not that this was failure by any means, because you WERE having fun, you got the Z dialed in and learned quite a bit about the car and your lines. I am harder on myself then anyone else ever could be, so I completely understand that aspect. Just keep reminding yourself that you got this, and your peeps know what you're capable of.
TJ! You have to make your 350z as your seat/main car, that’s the beast and you have to learn well in it, i believe your too comfortable wit that 370. I believe in you ! Hope this comments help. KEEP MOVING SIDEWAYS!
Good job TJ, you did well. but I personally don't believe that the 370z is suitable for comp level. Not gonna lie it's a great car for fun events and practice etc. but it kind of held you back from displaying your full chase potential in my opinion. but again that was some great driving.👏
At the end of the day, the most important and valuable thing you can bring home from the event is experience and what you gained mentally from driving with those guys. Your driving was top notch but the car was just a tad bit slow. Just like you said, don't treat this as a competition but just have fun, even though you're frustrated, you gained a lot of knowledge and experience from that event, just keep in mind that there is a bigger world (of drifting) out there than this. Even though you didn't bring home the bacon but I still want to congratulate you for what you have gained from the event. Congrats and keep moving forward!
I honestly get the same result sometimes in league kart races. Trying to "stay happy" and enjoying what you're doing always provides the best outcomes. It's tough but in racing in general, keeping your head straight will always need to come first. We all believe in you brother. Keep moving forward.
Valiant effort out there TJ. You threw down despite having an underpowered car compared to the competition and you definitely learned some valuable lessons. Keep ya head up and keep moving forward my dude
You drove your ass off there is no reason to be upset! When I saw you and him in practice I said let's hope you don't draw him first round his car was just too powerful. For taking basically a stock Z you held your own better than anyone could. Keep up the good work brother
With every defeat comes greater success TJ. Your tandem run may not be what you expected it to be, but look at the bright side. You learn a lot of things that could help you in the long run. Keep up the good work TJ. Peace!
my opinion is to throw an built LS into the 370z so you get enough horsepower to keep up with speed and also have the reliability there so you’re not breaking stuff while driving like with the 350.
You’ve grown so much in your driving, experience is experience and only driving (winning or losing) is going to improve you farther. I think the next step is to have your other gone through and sorted so your not hesitate on taking it to these events for experience. We’ll done I say, even though the results aren’t what you hoped for.
The road to success is paved with disappointments and shortcomings. These experiences are what is needed to propel you forward in this racing game. Your doing great man!
Kinda cool seeing myself and truck in one of your videos. I was the dude up in the hills behind the bushes lol! Also the car you took was perfect. OG Judge respected that more than dudes with 700plus horsepower. You know who I'm talking about.
Dude watching the chain of command with Vaughn and Chelsea coaching adam, hin coaching you, and one day you passing the torch on to another friend, Its rad to see everyone helping each other.
Brother we are our own hardest critics. You did a phenomenal job and we understand your frustration. You being open on how you feel is why we love you and the content you put out because it's real. You are going to continue go grow and crush it!!!!!!!!
Aside from the obvious difference in power you were smashing it out there. That pipe or whatever it was that hit your window suucks and that alone makes the disappointment worse I'm gutted and its not even my car.. Keep smashing them goals, like u and adam touched on in the podcast, you don't pretend to be someone who you're not in your videos, DONT EVER be embarrassed or ashamed of posting a video cause it wasn't the outcome you anticipated, we love watching you grow, and i personally love the fact you don't shy away from mistakes that are made or hide who you are! We love ya Teej keep moving sideways
Nothing embarrassing about your driving my man. You should be extremely proud of your progression over the years. It takes MANY failures, as you may know, to get where you wanna be. You’re way ahead of yourself now. It’s just fine tuning what you’ve learned now and forever to keep moving forward 🤙🏼
You need mo powah baby but you’re clearly one of the most consistent cleanest drivers you just need that sauce to keep up with the weenies that just rely on speed. The skill is already there home skillet
You did better than most could have done in that car. No having your head down at all because at the end of the day you still learning and still getting better a lot of us look at you for inspiration and today shows us why no matter how bad it goes or how good it goes there is always something to learn from like you said "Keep Moving Forward"
Keep moving sideways brother. You have all the capabalities to be on the top. You are growing up each time you are driving and we all admire that. PS : Add a tinny 100 shots and its in the book!
Looked like some incredible driving out there Teej, it doesn't matter if it's 4 misplaced competitions or 20 ! ... with the determination, you will achieve what you're setting out to achieve and you'll look back at EVERY. SINGLE. MOMENT. in the end and cherish them all for the fun that you really did have. Keep moving sideways bro !! ;) & keep being a massive inspiration to all of us who try to follow in your footsteps man
From what I could see, you kept a better and much more consistent line than most of the others. Forget the lack of power, means nothing. You learned alot and did really good, that TJ, is a win 😊
TJ, you uploading this video was the right move. All too much people want to show the best parts of their lives which in turn makes others believe that failure can't happen to them. Failure is normal and no one out there hasn't failed at something. We learn from our mistakes. It's what makes us human. Keep moving forward buddy.
This video showed a focused mindset I haven't seen you have before. No matter the outcome, it's experience, keep it for next time. You'll get there. Someone once told me to "Keep Moving Forward". You've probably seen him on RUclips a time or two ;)
Teej no need to beat yourself over the results it's all part of the process look at the positive side of the entire thing and things that you have learned that weekend and just keep improving the wins and success will come nothing is built overnight it takes time, yes it might be frustrating but look at your progress and how far you managed to come from struggling to link the track to putting down nice solid runs so keep that head up and be proud of yourself as much as we all are and as always keep moving forward 🤘🏼
That was cinematic asf! Love to see the driving videos Teej, you just keep getting better and better, you’ll be in FD in no time! It was sick to see you shredding the Z your lines were so nice, even though it sucks to go out early you were driving great! Thank you for still uploading the video
You did great man, it's hard to keep that competitive side from coming out when your in the moment like that. Now you got all that extra experience and practice for next time. Glad you posted the video, look forward to the next one
Being competitive is having fun in my eyes, if you force your natural mindset of winning to have fun then you’re not really having fun, just be yourself in the track and the way you drove the 370 was a good foundation for when you drive a faster car, great job TJ👍
Awww Teej don’t beat yourself over things you can’t control. You had great lines and follow through - Keep moving forward! We believe in you I had wrote this just as you were recapping and before you even said it. You got this my dude!
Dad out here. Bro, I love Mickey! TJ it's a Capricorn thing we want to be the best at what we do no questions asked fun or not. But you did your best. Like someone said learn in your toughest car. Drive it, break it & rebuild it. You can't be scared. #KeepMovingForward #KeepMovingSideWays
Don’t ever feel afraid to show the real stuff, we’ve watch the progression of what possible by you for years! This is just a step as you said! Keep moving forward!
Your driving is getting so much better dude just keep working on it. At the end of the day all that really matters is that you had fun and kept up with cars with twice the HP
TJ You can drive there is no doubt about that . The cars in these competitions seem to be getting faster so that means the "fun competition" Days are over. You have a fun car and a competition car you have to keep it that way. You are good enough to podium at any one of these but you can't play it safe and need to go for it. Can't wait for more driving from you !!!!!!
Keep moving forward tj I been a long time sub for years. Humble and loyalty is what it takes, you had an amazing comp and u will keep moving forward, your the only RUclipsr that has not fell off or has lost fate in his dreams and fans. Stay true to yourself and to your friends.
Keep moving forward is a way of life. Don’t get discouraged your driving was money this event taught you technique and a different way to attack a corner in an under powered car. Just means it’s time for an upgrade without losing the reliability of the vq37vhr. You got this man with each event u BECOME MORE AND MORE A DRIVER!!! That is why keep moving forward is important
Your the man!!! You should think about closing off the cabin of the car so you do t get as much smoke in the car, if u block off the interior areas it will stop a lot of the smoke
Full bolt ons and tune will put you at around 330whp and if you add a 75-100 wet shot of nitrous you’re in the 400whp+ range! Vhr can handle that all day long! Add more grip to the car to compensate for the extra power and it will be a rocket!
Teej with all the love and respect in the world, but if you’re down that much power you’re gonna get gapped in the corner no matter. You drove really well but beating yourself up for it does you no good if you bring a knife to a bazooka fight lol. Keep moving sideways can’t wait to see the next comp!
Fully agreed. I think we all predicted the outcome early on. Just simply underpowered. I wouldn’t have dillusions of winning the event in that case lol
TJ you did great! Thinking the Z chassis has been great so far and power is awesome from Selena but I think your needing a completely different chassis with a bit more wheels base. Having the power and swing with angle to allow your skills to progress to hang with some of those faster cars. But will grow into the big leagues of drifting.
Don't worry about the end result Teej, you show them all that you can wrestle with the big dogs... and you were in the slowest car wich made it even better to watch. Keep Moving Forward 💪🏽
You drive so well bro you where on that man’s door and you where down on horse power. Your improving everything time tj and I see how passionate you are about it so your going to do well. I can honestly see you in FD so keep pushing and keep moving forward 👊🏾
TJ don't beat yourself, in my eyes you did great. As I see it the only real mistake you had was going to competition with the wrong car. Power difference is so punishing in drifting. I'll give you an example; one of my very good friends is Jhonnattan Castro, FD driver, he has been grinding for years in an underpowered platform and he had moments of greatness sure but never the end result he deserves because when it really mattered, like breaking thru to top 4 or even podium, he found himself overpowered and making uncharacteristic mistakes just by trying to catch up on chases. At the end of the day I think you did really great with what you had, just keep moving forward!
I don’t really know what’s good in the race world but the actual drifts and lines you were doing looked really really good, when it came to tandem it just looked like you didn’t have the power needed so there’s really good fundamentals to take away from it
Call up Cleet, 3-way in TexasSpeed. Get a LS for the 350 or 370 and be done with it. Collet is doing this currently with her Vette build. Don’t forget to ask about being in the next race payperview at the Freedom Factory. Nice work.
Keep with it up man. Good strategy building on the fundamentals, refining and testing yourself. Once you take off that weighted vest you are bound to succeed
It may have ended on a disappointing note, but you got SOOO much seat time and practice! Like you said, keep moving forward, learn, adapt, and come out swinging even harder in the next one. Only up from here my man!!!!👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
I can see you just want more support going into the race. Keep your head up and your mind set positive. Mindset plays a big part. Plus you need to practice on 2 things your chase, and speed. You need to be on the track more if you want to improve. Don't Be upset about losing the fact that you went out and tried matters the most, and with a lot of practice will come success.
It’s alright TJ you did great. Don’t let that one run get you down. Everything you do is a learning experience and knowledge is power. Keep up the amazing videos and KEEP MOVING FORWARD!!! 😁
TJ you killed it out there and did about all you could with the 370. The guy you went against absolutely shredded and had maybe double the power and torque. You shouldn’t feel bad at all. If you had an equivalent matched car out there my money is on you. You should look into forced induction for the 370 to get you some more power but doesn’t have to be overkill. There’s good SC and turbo kits out there for the vq37
It's all good. It's always when you get to comp. Driving with the boys is one thing. But you have to have your A game on going on comp. And it's hard. Cause you get nervous, and anxious and all kinds of emotions come out. And some times it come down to competing with yourself sometimes. You will get there. And it's hard not to beat yourself up. Let it go and go in next time and don't hold on to this one. Happy Easter Bro!!
Tj your lines were On Point my guy! Maybe it’s time to add just a little more power to the 370 if you’re going to keep the 350 retired? Not saying go crazy yet, but just something to give you a little extra kick in the chase runs? You’re driving is impeccable and your mindset at the track is fantastic! Don’t let it get you down! Can’t wait to see more! Love you fam!
I enjoyed watching you drive, TJ You are Doing a wonderful job, nothing is your fault sounds like they set you up wrong. I know this is Sad for you right now and you want that Win, it will come,. Take everything you done today is Important and you Have progressed so much as a person a Driver and a Great friend to us all, Again I know you are Sad, but to see your face when you drive and how happy you are Like you Said KEEP MOVING FORWARD OR SIDEWAYS! You are my Favorite Driver always will be, YOU GOT THIS TJ!!
I know you want the car to be reliable but to be competitive these days having boost is a must especially if you want to stick with the HR motor. If you do maintenance every time it should be good to go!
This is a excellent lesson for all you young people out there Look how much TJ hates losing Successful people in life are competitive no matter what Don’t ever get used to losing

@@adrianbaric4260 seat time, seat time, seat time! im sure he'll get there with all the knowledgeable Z drivers around him ;)
Ginge's car isn't stock. He has a huge nitrous shot on it.
The chassis yes. The engine no. Chris Forsberg ran one for a decade so it’s clearly a good chassis
Shawn finished 2nd and qualified 1st in his stock 370z, so it’s definitely capable with more practice

I actually love how the video is formatted, on my phone I can zoom it in and its perfectly to my fill size screen, truly kinda nice
You did great man, it's hard to keep that competitive side from coming out when your in the moment like that. Now you got all that extra experience and practice for next time. Glad you posted the video, look forward to the next one
Teej, losing is honestly the best way to improve. I've learned more in my life from my losses then I ever did from my wins.
And so we learned in this video, speed doesn’t matter, it’s how much confidence and experienced you have, fucking killed it man ❤️🔥🤘🏻
Being competitive is having fun in my eyes, if you force your natural mindset of winning to have fun then you’re not really having fun, just be yourself in the track and the way you drove the 370 was a good foundation for when you drive a faster car, great job TJ👍
There is a balance, Only one person advances, Take it too serious and you beat the shit out of yourself when it's not you. Where is the fun in that?
Awww Teej don’t beat yourself over things you can’t control. You had great lines and follow through - Keep moving forward! We believe in you
I had wrote this just as you were recapping and before you even said it. You got this my dude!
Aye life goes on. You have all of us behind you and cheering for you regardless of winning or losing. Keep ya head up champ
Teej you been a hella inspiration for all. We all beat ourselves up but it just comes with life. You’re Doing amazing
I remember watching some of your first drifting videos. YOU HAVE COME SO FAR!
See yourself up there. And keep seeing yourself up there. And don't stop seeing yourself up there.
You got this TJ don’t stop you are doing so much better from the time you started to now!
Love seeing how happy Mickey gets when tj kills it and overall seeing Mickey on the channel
Nothing like getting off work, having a beer and a new tj video is on to watch
I feel with the frustration, not currently happy with things but it’s all to make you stronger. Life gives you opportunities to improve everyday.
You never lose sir , you win or you Learn - keep movin forward!
Bro you ain’t losing you gaining more knowledge. Every upload it’s a win 🏅 for me.
Why does this feel like a professional documentary so lit🤟🏽
TJ you did great! Thinking the Z chassis has been great so far and power is awesome from Selena but I think your needing a completely different chassis with a bit more wheels base. Having the power and swing with angle to allow your skills to progress to hang with some of those faster cars. But will grow into the big leagues of drifting.
Don't worry about the end result Teej, you show them all that you can wrestle with the big dogs... and you were in the slowest car wich made it even better to watch. Keep Moving Forward 💪🏽
Very consistent drive..clean line..just don't have enough power to follow the lead car..big thumbs up teej👍👍👍..cheer up dude..
#keepmovingsideways
Nice work.
10:57 gives me goosebumps man
Bro, don't stress, you did the best you could with what you had, that's more then enough, well done!
The experience is what you should be doing it for at this point. You'll get your W for sure
Keep with it up man. Good strategy building on the fundamentals, refining and testing yourself. Once you take off that weighted vest you are bound to succeed
Great content, win lose or draw I'm still watching this vlog! At the end of the day just like you tell us, do what makes YOU happy!
Bro i am so impressed with how fast you are progressing! You are killing it my guy! KEEP MOVING SIDEWAYS!!!!!!!!
Loved the video, and truly appreciated your honest reflections at the end. It really shows your humility and positive outlook 👌
11:08 *TJ!! what a crazy few clips of you drifting*
It may have ended on a disappointing note, but you got SOOO much seat time and practice! Like you said, keep moving forward, learn, adapt, and come out swinging even harder in the next one. Only up from here my man!!!!👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
Tj has an awesome support system. Lots of dope positivety
Take everything you done today is Important and
you Have progressed so much as a person a Driver and a Great friend to us all, Again I know you are Sad, but to see your face when you drive and how happy you are
Like you Said KEEP MOVING FORWARD OR SIDEWAYS! You are my Favorite Driver always will be, YOU GOT THIS TJ!!
I know you want the car to be reliable but to be competitive these days having boost is a must especially if you want to stick with the HR motor. If you do maintenance every time it should be good to go!
Mickey is the real Doc Hudson❤️
🤣
This is a excellent lesson for all you young people out there
Look how much TJ hates losing
Successful people in life are competitive no matter what
Don’t ever get used to losing
I enjoy this type of content. One of the few people who inspires me to keep moving forward in life.
Been watching you for a few years now. Your improvement has been amazing. Keep your head up pal you will get there.
