You are definitely right about the old steel being much stronger nice to see that everything came apart. It’s going to be a nice little project truck to get on the road
thanks for the video. i have a 55 4100 that i just picked up and the drums are locked up so i will be tearing into it soon so this helped. wheres part 2 and where did you find the replacement parts? thanks again
I just bought a 1954 Chevy 2 ton 6500 cab and chassis (no bed) same color as yours, in about the same condition.. After going through the fuel system and cooling system the motor runs fine... Now I'm starting on the brakes... Can't wait for Part 2 video.... Are you planning on keeping with the original single reservoir master cylinder??? I haven't decided for mine yet.... All new brake lines for mine, the originals are just too rusty to trust....
Nice to have an update and see the chevy!
love seeing that old-school stuff still working

I just found your channel. That's a nice looking truck. Congrats!
What ever happened to the brake job on this truck, it's been 5 months.
I love these ole trucks! Nice work!
¿When will you do the part 2? It's been over a year now
Man, now I can't wait for part 2, you'll have to let us know about how the parts availability went.
yes BYORFO Nice Love GMC 🥰 1950❤
Very cool video danny..I'm shocked how small that master is compared to the drums 🤯 lol👍👍

Ever get around to finding parts? Have a 1949 Chevrolet 4100 needing some part numbers or source of parts.
I have the parts, just haven't finished the install completely.
If you don’t mind share what part numbers you picked up. Part coming soon, or @slow restoration.😅
Can you share your part numbers?
please can we get part number😮
have you finished the brake system yet? I have a similar truck and Im wondering what you needed to get and how much they were@@slow_restoration
grew up with one of these brakes never worked always let truck roll into nearest tree finding gears & steering was the hard part
How long did it take to disassemble the brakes on that old truck? I love those old trucks no matter the make.
