I am 6'4" about 250lbs and fits me fine. In fact I bought my 2019 because of all the room I had in the driver seat. And I have taken it up some tough trails and it did great. More than I expected. Great on snow and terrain, as well as daily driver. What nonsense do they speak in this video?
I don’t think you guys know what class you are covering, this is the sub compact SUV of course it’s very small. It needs to be compared to other sub compact SUVS. Cmon guys...
Maybe you should change the title to "Reasons to buy the 2020 Jeep Renegade". Your reasons not to buy aren't very negative for me at all, and you praised some of the features which I like. I am a small size person, 62 years old, who bought a 2019 Altitude Renegade and love it. I also like the looks alot. I am single so no big deal about the back seats and passenger seat being manual. My friends using these seats haven't complained when riding in my Jeep. Hey, credit to you for pointing out both the good and bad as you see it!
I love my 2019 jeep renegade latitude, it has every option I wanted. The driver seat is pretty comfortable, I’m 5’10”. The front passenger seat is pretty ok too. The back seat area however is pretty cramped if you’re an adult, front seats have to be moved up. Mine is 4 wheel drive, but the way it works is mainly front wheel drive until the front loses traction, then the rear kicks in, so it works like an all wheel drive. Also you can lock the differential to make it 4 wheel drive when u need it. It doesn’t have low range 4 wheel drive, you would have to get the trail hawk model for that. All things considered it is a great car for somebody coming from the base model of a 2018 Nissan Versa with literally no options at all. That car didn’t even have power windows, no power door locks, no alarm system, no cruise control, no back up camera, no blue tooth radio. It was just a plain car.
I'm 6'5 245 lbs and I feel comfortable in my renegade, it's not a wrangler or a grand Cherokee it's a nice compact suv. I love it, I'm usually alone with no extra passengers so my beach chairs fit, my fishing pole fits and a few other thjngs
1st Guy: "Heres the #1 reason why not to buy the Renegade, None of it is made in the United States!!!" Second guy talks. And has a heavy ass accent 😂😂😂😂 I was cracking up. 1st and last time I watch their reviews. 🤣
The renegade is a sweet little jeep. I have a a 2016 4×2, 2.4 liter with cold air intake, high flow exhaust, and chip tune. It's super quick compared to stock. If you have one, I'm telling you, the exhaust is very restrictive for the American models. I easily picked up 15hp with just the high flow cat and exhaust, and another 5hp with the cold air. The chip on performance mode, probably another 15hp. It's still under warranty for another year, so after that, I'm going to get pick up a HP tuner and continue the build. I'm currently limited based on warranty. Everything about this review is off. Every single person has their own personal opinion on appearance. It certainly is very liked overall. For them to suggest the wrangler over the renegade, is completely worthless. Totally different purposes. Does your car have metal side mirrors. My wife's $38,000 2019 Avalon, or my 350z sure has plastic mirrors. Guess what else does, the wrangler. Are they super cheap too? There's a reason this video has a huge dislike ratio. People who own them, love them for the most part.
Thanks for watching, we have our opinion of the top 5 reason we don’t like it. We never said there aren’t positives, clearly there are. We try to point out both positive and negative in all of our review. Thanks again for watching.
@@Carfluent but you named the video top 5 reasons not to buy it and started ranting and raving about why NOT to buy it but then start complimenting it 😂😂😂😂
I had a jeep renegade 2020 sport model....that vehicle is amazing...also the other day my wife had a head on collision in it at 45mph. She and my daughter survived it because they were in the renegade. Btw the renegade has a lot of space in it...you're wrong the vehicle is amazing.
This car is affordable , what do you expect plus it’s not a 4Runner or a wrangler , it’s a small off-road capable vehicle , you can mod this little thing and make it run and looks better , it just come sstocl like that from the factory for reliability
The only off-road capability it has is driving side of the road. the only thing it can handle relatively well is winter city conditions. And let's face it, that is the most extreme these Renegades will ever be used for.
1st reason why not to buy - NON OF IT IS MADE IN THE US" second guy talking wasn't made in the US either apparently. plus its made by Fiat (Italy) 2nd reason - IT'S TOO CRAMPED (first of all it's a sub compact, of course it's small, second i'm 6' 3" 230lb and i have plenty of room as a driver) Misc reason - I DON'T THINK IT'S FOR OFFROADING (you're reviewing the limited version, go get the trailhawk if you're gonna talk about offroading) 3rd reason - IT'S UGLY - That is subjective, i live in the Northwest and i see SOOOOoo many of these on the road, which tells me people like it enough to buy them 4th reason - LOW MPG ( yes this is an issue i can stand behind, however i would have talked more about the gas tank size which i find to be a bigger problem) also its a 4WD 5th reason - THE WHEELS (once again your reviewing the limited version, they are all season tires because more then likely the clientele will be on regular paved roads, you want offroad tires, go review the offroad varient) it's not rocket science "they're boring"... really guys Carfluent - you need to change your channel name EDIT: i just realized that this is also your MOST viewed video, which shows that more people are curious about the renegade then any other car on your channel
I'm 6'4" tall and 375lbs. I just test drove a 2016 Renegade Trailhawk and except for the entry into the driver's seat, I was very comfortable. I had plenty of leg room, hip room, head room, shoulder room, and I enjoyed driving it very much, so, Idk what the little guy in your video is talking about. I myself own a Toyota Tundra. The Renegade will be my wife's daily driver, but I'll be the weekend driver, and taking it trail riding. I'm confident in its capabilities. If it's got wheels, I can off-road it. Ok, maybe not a sports car, but this is a JEEP. Y'all are way too negative. Don't compare it to anything because honestly, what else is really in the Renegade's wheelhouse? Hmmm. But yeah, back to the room inside, it's got plenty for a little suv Jeep. Ugly? Wow. It's a Jeep. What are you comparing it to? Porsche? C'mon. And not in USA, because FIAT took over. Duh. Your Ford Fusion is aerodynamic and front wheel drive. Duh. It's all time 4WD, so of course it's gonna have less mpg, duh. Trailhawk is the top level. Wrangler costs $40k to $50k. I doubt you two have ever gone off roading at all. The entire chassis is metal, duh. Respectful? You guys weren't respectful to the vehicle. Lol.
I'm 6ft 2 and my 2022 4wheel drive renegade is awesome. Heated seats steering wheel ,panoramic moon roof . And I live in Colorado and go on trails never got stuck. My sahara winter edition is awesome too. But this little jeep is great
I have a 2018 Renegade and when I bought it I was 5'09 and 380lbs.(I've lost a lot of weight since then), but the thing I loved about it was how roomy it was. I had an '04 Grand Cherokee I loved. I wound up with a 2014 Patriot that I had to duck to see stop lights out of the windshield. I test drove a cherokee and I couldn't get into one without scraping my head on the door frame. When the salesman suggested the Renegade, I thought he was nuts. But they Fiat does so much with making space count. From the outside they seem tiny, from the inside they are great to me.
Bad review. Don’t agree with any of it. “Just buy a Wrangler”? You’re saying just go out and spend $30,000 more than what this costs? Makes no sense at all. The size of the wheel also has no bearing on it’s off road capability. The reason they don’t build offroad vehicles with 15” rims anymore is because you can’t fit disk brakes. “Not enough off road modes”?...The Jeep Wrangler only has 2, 4WD high and 4WD low. How many more do you need. Additionally the trail hawk comes with additional offroad features such as hill decent control and 4WD lock.
I don't buy so others can be comfy. My ride, deal with it. LOL. That plate on trailhawk is a saver. A guy's Xmas tree blew off his roof going 70. I had no choice but to nail it. The trunk marks on the plate, glad I had it. My big gripe is the 12.6 gal gas tank.
I have a 2018 black jeep renegade limited with the 1.6 turbodiesel multijet engine and mpg is great in it, i live in Scotland and lots of mountains an winding roads an can easy get 65 mpg to work an back, best so far was 83mpg, great car plenty room to especially for camping gear an mountain bike and drives great, yeh it does fidgit over small bumps in road at low speeds but once ur upto speed its great, its a jeep afterall an i love it, looks cool too, best car I've had so far, and ive had a Mustang and a jaguar before, looks, room an economy an enjoyable drive do it for me, great car 😍👌👍🏴
You don't get a Jeep or pick up truck for comfort or cosmetic appeal. Subcompact SUVs such as the Jeep renegade the compass the liberty or the Ford echo and Kia Sportage. They are designed to be a daily driver and do some occasional off-road trail use. Such as going up a gravel road to a cabin or campsite or if you live in an area that gets a moderate amount of snow.
Man me and all my friends fit I had 3 friends that weighed about 300lbs each in the back and my other friend in the front about 200lbs it was alright 😂
Cray cray! It is NOT small inside! My husband is a big guy, he can raise his elbows out to the side while hands are on the wheel and his arms don’t touch the doors and plenty of leg room. No cars now fit those super huge drinks in the drink cups from McDonalds guys! And duh, people that are paying 32000 and more for a vehicle aren’t off roading with it, they are buying a beater for off roading. We’ve driven ours to NC from NJ and it was comfortable. Want to open the roof, there’s direction duh! You guys need a different job!
I can’t tell if these two are trying to be funny or if they are just dumb. I’ve got a 2019 4x4 Bikini Blue and it’s been a great vehicle. It’s got plenty of room in it and have taken it on many trips. They are also impressively capable off-road. Renegades have take on Hells revenge in Moab and The top of the world trails. Their not as capable as a Wrangler but their not supposed to be. However they can hold their own when it’s asked of them. There is even a growing aftermarket for the vehicle as well lift kits, upgraded skid plates, rock/bash bars, metal upgraded bumpers and roof racks for the externals and a variety or parts for then mechanical side of life as well. Truthfully it’s a good option for someone wanting to learn how to properly off-road a vehicle. You can learn the basics and fundamentals, upgrade the vehicle and have more fun then eventually move on to a more capable off-roader like the wrangler. This sounds more like 2 five year olds arguing over who’s daddy has the cooler car.
Not that many options for the 4x4? 😂 how many options are you expecting it has everything you need and you guys saying the wheels are small the stock jeep wrangler has 18 inch wheels you obviously dont know anything about off roading or about jeeps you guys expect this thing to be as big as Chevy suburban and have the off road capabilities of a souped up wrangler
guys need to understand that this is going to be a small suv and it is going to be smaller then you expect and your video was just shouting and i could barley understand you
My biggest issue with this truck has been pumping gas lol it’s like the most challenging thing ever for no reason. You have to twist and turn the nozzle a billion times. So annoying. And also, the acceleration sucks.
The window sticker for my wife's 2020 Renegade says the transmission is made in USA, the new 1.3l turbo engine is made in Poland and the vehicle itself was assembled in Italy.
I’m interested for the price and the ability to get off the pavement. Not sure I’ve got the nuts to go advanced rock crawling but the camping possibility are looking sweet from my house!
The only thing true about this vehicle is that IT IS NOT MADE IN THE USA. It is made in Italy. I had to replace the lift gate due to an accident and after waiting for 8 months, the repair shop had to go and find a used lift gate to install because the manufacturer in Italy could not ful fill the order.
1. There’s several American vehicles not made in America. Chevrolet, Ford, Dodge, Chrysler , all make vehicles outside of America. I don’t think this is a reason not to buy it. That’s how they are able to keep prices lower. 2. It’s a small compact suv, of course it’s gonna be smaller compared to the other Jeep’s in the line up. It’s no smaller than other SUVs its size like the Chevrolet Trax and the Ford EcoSport. 3. Saying it’s ugly is a personal opinion and I can respect that. However they’ve sold over 500k of these Renegades, so that tells me a large majority of people like the styling. 4. The mpg at 24-32 is very close to other suvs its size. The Hyundai Kona gets 25-33, Chevrolet Trax 26-31, Buick Encore 25-30, Nissian Rouge 25-32. 5. The 18 inch wheels are standard only on the limited, and optional on other models. Let’s be real here, no one buying a limited is taking it off road, nor will need the wheel clearance. For 2021 you can actually get 19’s if you wanted. If you want a smaller size tire go with a different model like the Sport with 16’s or the Trailhawk with 17’s. I feel like this was just nit picking, and not serious reasons not to buy it. A serious reason would be engine, transmission issues. Not the basic generic reasons you gave. As someone who is considering buying one, this was no help whatsoever, and a waste of my time. This was simply clickbate.
I just purchased a 2019 Renegade Latitude and I definitely do not feel cramped at all. I agree I think the touch screen entertainment system in the Jeep is really well done and easy to learn. My parents have the automatic hatch on their explorer and it takes 5 years for it come up so I don't really care about having an automatic hatch. And you guys did a horrible job of reviewing this. I think you guys were high
Bit late, I have a UK Renegade Night Eagle 1.6 diesel and happy with it so far. Edit: These people obviously hate the Renegade with a passion. Just let people enjoy their Jeeps, it won't impact your lives whatsoever.....
I love this.. reminds me of when me and my girlfriends get together and had a few drinks.. nobody knows what the hell the others saying but we get our point across. Best review ever. 😊
I don’t agree with that. There are some things we don’t like about the Renegade but we also point out several things we lied as well. Thank you for watching.
You can hate a car..but be fair about it , some nasty clickbait aswell x-) This actually is one of the most ridiculous reviews I've seen in a while, it was actually funny to me! Still, not a fair review in my eyes, then again, I did have a good laugh !
I can honestly say this vehicle while not all the best a some things I can say this thing will save you even in a 80 MPH crash! I have one while not in a accident my coworker had one and she hydroplaned going highway speed her keep flipped 5 times before that she went air bound! It deployed several airbags with a lot of weight to them to keep her from being crushed while rolling! The jeep barely looks like she was in a accident other than maybe she hit a deer! These guys must be either drunk and or high or just looking for anything to do! LMAO
normannobrot I’m looking at the 2019, thanks for you comment! One of the things I worried about was about if the cabin was super loud or not. Idk what kind of review these guys did but it just made me want to buy it even more lol 😂
5 reasons not to watch this video....
This comment need more likes.
The guy shouting at me at the beginning is one.
The second guy " i dont know "
Cause, I was too little too late...

Just bought a bikini blue 1. I'm 275 lb muscular guy. I fit fine. And it drives like a dream. You guys are nuts.
You sound like such a catch
Hot
I'm also built like a lineman, and find them really comfortable. I can't wait to own one
Not enough off road options??? Did you also expect rock climbing mode? Airplane mode? Submarine mode? Spaceship mode? Back To The Future mode??
I read this comment then looked at your picture and busted out laughing
I love you 😘
😂😂

I have a 2019 model, and dont have led headlights, and I am 6'5" and fit fine in the front. its my daily driver.
Leds are an option.
The problem with these kids....... their generationally impaired. They don't realize how stupid.the6 sound, not even knowing basic facts.

My husband is 6'6" and easily fitting in it
I'm 19 and im 6'4... I love my 2017 jeep renegade latitude 4x4... I chase tornados and I love how the touch screen has a weather radar...
I’m 6’3’’ 250+ and I feel like my 2020 Renagade has plenty of room for me inside
Same here, just bought one and very spacious.
I don’t think you guys know what class you are covering, this is the sub compact SUV of course it’s very small. It needs to be compared to other sub compact SUVS. Cmon guys...
Thanks for the feedback and for watching. We appreciate it.
Itsa pos, compare it to anything. Moot point.
Title: 5 reasons not to buy the 2020 Renegade
Half the video (them): I like this. I love that. This is cool. Nice feeling
what drugs you two are on?
All of them.
Ugly? No. Best looking Jeep since the XJ IMHO.

I wasn't looking for a renegade, now I want one lmao

I have accent and I feel bad right now😂😂😂😅😅😅
🤣 first thing that came to mind to me as well, also I figured "well that's like pretty good reason to buy it, instead".
Exactly what I said
As per the democrats... this comment is racist...
I thought the same thing!! He's not made in the US and we aren't judging him!!

i’m 5”3 so this car is PERFECT for me. I’m up to the steering wheel anyway
You guys gave more positives than negatives🙆♀️😂
Thanks for watching, we have our opinion of the top 5 reason we don’t like it. We never said there aren’t positives, clearly there are. We try to point out both positive and negative in all of our review. Thanks again for watching.
@@Carfluent Yeah, but that some scummy klickbaiting. Downvotes well deserved

4th reason - LOW MPG ( yes this is an issue i can stand behind, however i would have talked more about the gas tank size which i find to be a bigger problem) also its a 4WD
5th reason - THE WHEELS (once again your reviewing the limited version, they are all season tires because more then likely the clientele will be on regular paved roads, you want offroad tires, go review the offroad varient) it's not rocket science "they're boring"... really guys
Carfluent - you need to change your channel name
EDIT: i just realized that this is also your MOST viewed video, which shows that more people are curious about the renegade then any other car on your channel
Based on your first reason not to buy I didn't hold much hope on the rest of the video...

What do you mean it's not enough options. It has 5 more options for off road than normal cars do
I have a 2017 renegade latitude 4x4 I can fit my sister and 4 brothers it fits a little tight but they are still able to move around
Your sidekick was not built in the US either!
I lowkey love how the Jeep Renegade, it’s so cute

And duh, people that are paying 32000 and more for a vehicle aren’t off roading with it, they are buying a beater for off roading. We’ve driven ours to NC from NJ and it was comfortable. Want to open the roof, there’s direction duh! You guys need a different job!
I have the 2015 renegade & U make
Me wanna buy the 2020 ... good job 👍🏼 😂
I have too
The video is very entertaining. The energy both of you put complements each other
Thank you for the compliment and for watching!!
Wth did I just watch....
Two virgins complain about a car-
14 minutes of Wasted Oxygen
Maybe talk about important things like the engine, transmission and suspension. Cup holders is not a real issue if car breaks down a lot
I own this car two years already and it’s great!
You guys had how much to drink before this video ?
guys need to understand that this is going to be a small suv and it is going to be smaller then you expect and your video was just shouting and i could barley understand you
'you got plastic here, you got plastic there, you got plastic everywhere!' just how I like my women.
Nice video made my night :) 😀 😆
He said it looks like a cereal box 📦hahaha 😆
0:04 I mean, after Fiat bought the Chrysler company ALL Jeeps, Chryslers, and Dodges were made with some Italian parts and built in Mexico
I’m interested for the price and the ability to get off the pavement. Not sure I’ve got the nuts to go advanced rock crawling but the camping possibility are looking sweet from my house!
I'm gonna buy a fucking Renegade just because of this video.
I've got a 2015, runs fine and great off road, just keep it properly serviced.
why so aggressive and intense? ya'll giving me anxiety
best ad I've seen in a while lol
I am 5ft 10in, 350+ lbs and I am comfortable in my 2019 Jeep Renegade. It’s awesome, I love it so far ☺️ Her name Genesis 🥰🥰
The car is small no duhh it’s going to be cramped FOR YOU BIG PERSON but me fit fine
You forgot the ONLY reason to not by a Renegade........IT'S A CHRYSLER. The other "reasons" you gave pale in comparison.
That's reason number one right there!
4 people at max in the back seat? It only has 3 seat belts my guy.. but a negative is no amp or charging points in arm rest.
This video didn't age well 4 yrs later best trail rated suv on the market almost 380 miles on 30 bucks .. love mine its get 33 mpg with champion plugs
Im 6`1 225 lbs plenty of room ! Also i have a wrangler Jeeps rock!
It’s not cramped at all. I disagree there. It’s roomy for a smaller car. Very solid and steady too.
You can move the arm rest forward
Bit late, I have a UK Renegade Night Eagle 1.6 diesel and happy with it so far.
Edit: These people obviously hate the Renegade with a passion. Just let people enjoy their Jeeps, it won't impact your lives whatsoever.....
Lol this guys are clowns I have a 19 latitude and I love it. Also my paperwork says mine was built in Detroit soooo
Thinking of getting the latitude for daily driver, might get dual sunroof if they removable I'm 5 8
Final assembly may be in Detroit but the parts are definitely not made in USA soooo
Even before clicking on this video, I already knew what would be the outcomes 😂
I love this.. reminds me of when me and my girlfriends get together and had a few drinks.. nobody knows what the hell the others saying but we get our point across. Best review ever. 😊
I chose a Jeep renegade over a Cherokee, because I felt like the renegade had more room because the Cherokee backseats felt small 😂
1 reasons not to watch this video, the guys in the video 🙈
Does it have the annoying autostop feature?
You guys are a bunch of haters. 👎
I don’t agree with that. There are some things we don’t like about the Renegade but we also point out several things we lied as well. Thank you for watching.
Carfluent liers
2019 Renegade Trailhawks do not have the 2.4L motor, they have the new 1.3L. Comedians with a smartphone.
Am I watching a review or a remake of Cheech and Chong 😂
You can hate a car..but be fair about it , some nasty clickbait aswell x-)
This actually is one of the most ridiculous reviews I've seen in a while, it was actually funny to me!
Still, not a fair review in my eyes, then again, I did have a good laugh !
Idk I got a 1999 Toyota Corolla. This would be a great upgrade for me
Im 6'1 over 230 lbs and my 2017 feels roomy so dunno wth u guys talking about
I can honestly say this vehicle while not all the best a some things I can say this thing will save you even in a 80 MPH crash! LMAO
I'm sorry but... you guys definitely do complain a little bit too much for no specific or good reason
I have a jeep 2019 and your reasons are bogus lol especially engine noise? I can barely hear it inside or out.
normannobrot I’m looking at the 2019, thanks for you comment! One of the things I worried about was about if the cabin was super loud or not. Idk what kind of review these guys did but it just made me want to buy it even more lol 😂
@@artiscrutial no it's superb. Seriously have a struggle to hear it at times. Test one. I love mine.
Space? This is the dumbest thing every. I'm 6 feet tall, and 280, muscular build... it's plenty big enough.
Y’all talk about it not being a good off-road vehicle but never take it off road y’all’s opinion is irrelevant
Well everyone doesn’t have Wrangler money😂
It’s not too small my 2020 is bigger then most small suvs and I’m 6’3’’ 260
I bought one and been good to me
my ears this entire video... BLEEDING
From the start with the yelling!
I’d say as a 2017 jeep renegade 4x4 2.4 multi air sport the 2017 is there best year to get!!
The main reason not to buy the Jeep Renegade is that it is really a Fiat 500.
LMFAOOO!!!!! This is like those local car salesman commercials! LOL!!!
Damn, the back seat fits 4 people??
