    Nice review Lofty, I've had my e clutch 2 weeks and done just over 300 miles, I love it, I changed from a 2023 cb650r as I wanted some fairing, I'm 6ft 12 stone and I find it very comfortable, the 4 cylinder is great and the up and down gear changes are sublime.

    I am the opposite build, 5' 4" 28" inseam. I got my 24 CBR650R in GP Red on the 1st March. Not the e-clutch model though. I absolutely love it. Its so smooth and the power is so well delivered. Notice you didnt get above about 7k rpm. It really picks up above 8k. I am just over 1000 miles into my bike now. Its my first bike back after 30 years away from riding. Highly recommended it. You can have some acceleration fun without hitting licence loosing speeds too quickly. Nice review. 👍

    I rode this bike yesterday (straight after passing my mod 2 in the morning lol) and it was so bloody good and fun. The E Clutch looks like it gets in the way and people mention that it does, I had 0 issues with it. It goes up and down gears very nicely and you can fully turn it off if you're not all for it. I tend to use the clutch when setting off since it's quite jumpy in gear 1 with the e clutch. Very very nice bike and I'll be getting one soon.

    Very nice review Lofty, you covered everything like a true pro.. well done sir. I have to say that although you did a fantastic job of explaining and demonstrating the e-clutch, I still can't quite get my head around it.. by that I mean it's not an automatic because you still have the foot gear selector, but yet it can't stall.. it actually sounds amazing.. a great concept. I ride a CBR650F and now that I've watched your review I might get down to my Honda dealership for a test ride (purely for curiosity sake) 😊

    Brilliant review ta ! Amazing extra for 100 quid, crazy not to have it even if it isn’t used. I did fancy an XSR900 but the bars were too uncomfortable for me and me wrists ached for 4 days after a 30 min test ride. I’m taking a CB650R out for a run with E-Clutch, I’ll probably get one for a laugh as I’m always in traffic and me left hand is too old now. I don’t care what anyone says about it being whatever, at least I’m still on two wheels and can do more time in the saddle and enjoy the ride 👍🍻

    Nice review, Lofty. I just wanna correct one thing; There's no auto blipper, it just slips the clutch on downshift.

    • @theloftybiker3090
      @theloftybiker3090  4 месяца назад

      @@The.JZA. no. That's correct there is and has never been autoblip on this bike thus system gives you the same effect and works amazingly well...I love it, so light too....thanks for

    • @The.JZA.
      @The.JZA. 4 месяца назад

      @@theloftybiker3090 I'm sorry, not trying to be difficult but I disagree. The system does not actuate the throttle. It does facilitate a downshift by operating the clutch when you push the gear lever down, but it does not blip the throttle.Maybe you were holding the throttle partially open when you downshifted and that's why you felt like it was blipping. If Honda put a RBW throttle on this bike then it would be able to but it still oldschool cable so the system has no control over throttle whatsoever.

    • @theloftybiker3090
      @theloftybiker3090  4 месяца назад +1

      @@The.JZA. I agree with every word you have said.....I didn't say it had autoblip, I said the system allows you to go up or down the box without using the clutch , in the same way a bike with a QS & AB does only quicker...it will be out on the newer models with FBW throttles very soon.....its a game changer...so much so BMW, KTM and MV are all bringing out similar systems.....thanks for watching

    Rode this a month ago and while i loved the e-clutch, i felt quite cramped on the bike, i would definitely need to get the naked version. I forgot to check but how would the bike fair when doing low speed maneuvers where you have to manage the clutch (barring actually pulling the clutch in)

      @MacAlex007 6 месяцев назад

      After watching some reviews, i had the same doubt. But finally had the chance to ride one. 😁
      At slow speeds it can be a bit abrupt. It wants to go... fast. But if you're gentle with your right fist, it goes very smoothly and very slowly.
      So it really depends on you and how you're used to ride. Some people might need to adjust, some don't.
      One thing that i wasn't expecting is that between 1st and 2nd there's still a neutral. So you can fall on it just like a traditional clutch/gearbox.
      Overall the e-clutch is great!
      It's very fast! I tried going up and down the gears as fast as i could, like a maniac 😅 and it worked flawlessly!
      It was my 1st ride with a CBR and was very impressed. Great engine, good brakes, good suspension (strong but not harsh).
      Nice ride position too. Sporty but not super sporty (I'm 1,80m).
      Awesome bike. 😎

    Oi mate, got a question here... i saw you use the front break a lot, but i was always told to use the rear brake most of the time and only the front for extreme situation.
    Would you explain it to me?

    • @theloftybiker3090
      @theloftybiker3090  5 месяцев назад +1

      We are different and ride differently....generally on roads riding the front is the power...ideal for stopping and slowing quickly. The rear is more of a stability device, for steading during slow manoeuvres. It can also be used to keep the front on the ground and for backing into corners.....thanks for watching
