Hi there.I am a practicing radiologist in Iran. Actually, I am considering Germany as a place to move. There are some rumors around which say that entering a residency program in Radiology is so competitive. Is there any comment to help me have a soft landing about that?

Is proficiency in german language necessary even for a branch like radiology which has a little patient interaction?

Hello, yes it is necessary to receive your German medical license, regardless or your specialisation. Even in Radiology, you will have plenty of documentation to write in German, and colleagues to discuss with.
      All the best :)

Great interview! I got 2 questions:
How do they like the CVs and how should we approach the hospitals by email?

Thanks very much.....this video clip strengthened me.
I have a question please, if I want to specialize in general surgery, from day 1 signing of my contract can I start my residency program.
I mean, is it possible that my contract can be a residency program in general surgery?

      *Hi Chijoke,*
Once you get your medical license you can specialize in whatever specialty you wish. Once you start your residency in an authorized hospital/clinic under the supervision of an authorized consultant, then you begin your residency program.
So to answer your question, yes you can :)

    Hello
Thank you so much for sharing this video and dedicating some of your time to share these important information!
I just have on question to know about the process of applying from the perspective of a medical student. Do you apply directly to the speciality that you are willing to specialize in or you do any previous mandatory intern year? For example in Dr. Daria’s case radiology or even surgery!
    Thank you again

Please I need a help in booking for a doctor's appointment in Germany for my sister who's sick. We need a letter from a German licensed doctor stating he or shes agreed to offer treatment and confirming we half made payment before German embassy will issue visa . We are ready to make half payment. She's not responding to treatment here in Ghana. Please help me get connected to a doctor in Berlin. Her German interview date is on 24th of October,2023. The embassy can't help so please help us. We already have local doctors letter explaining diagnosis and referral for an advance treatment in the West. I hope you respond. Thank you.
