Primitive Camping - South Mountains State Park - NC - June 2021

I hiked in 1.5 miles and camped at the Shinny Creek campsite at South Mountain State Park in North Carolina. In the morning, I explored miles of trails including mountain peaks, creeks, and waterfalls.

I camped at the Shiny Creek site, but I did also hike to the Jacob's creek site. They have similar arrangements with 4 primitive sites and a large field. There is a fire ring and picnic table at each site, and a shared bear storage box for food.
