I got the 11 Pro Max a month ago and I have my XS Max thats still pretty much new and besides the camera and battery there are no difference it seem so I shouldn’t of upgraded, so I have a backup now I guess
The Xs max is a value phone. I can say I had my Xs Max since launch 🚀 and it’s gotten better. The battery is great even at 88% battery health. Again iPhones improve hardware wise slowly so wait 5 years to upgrade if you can lol. Honestly chipset isn’t a factor anymore for iPhones.

Travis, get the NeuralCam app for the Cs and SE and any other iPhone you have for Night Mode function. It’s only $3 and works very well. All Night Mode dies is hold the shutter open for a few seconds allowing more light in. The Xs has a fast f1.8 lens same as the 11Pro and SE.
Writing this comment from my Xs 😋 Got it since January last year and I’m at 89% battery health. I think I might never leave iOS 🙈
Both are great iPhones, but if your looking to get a new phone it makes more sense to wait a little longer for the all-new and improved iPhone 12's. 😁😷
The only thing I'm not super happy about on my XS is battery life. It's okay but I really prefer to have an all day one. I paid $100 to replace my battery and I'm still saying the same thing. It's decent but not the best. Hoping to upgrade in a few months.
I think I'm gonna choose the xr over the xs cause the major battery life difference. I know the screen is nicer on the xs but that just isn't worth it for me when sacrificing battery

Travis, I am almost on the apple side of the fence. You made me realize that I don't use most of the features on this s9 phone. Until today. I didn't know where my downloads went. The battery and camera may be worth it.
While I had an XR? Personally I think the 11 pro for 2019 was better than the XS for 2018.
And part of it is actually due to the XR. The XR had several features better than the XS, the same can’t be said for the regular 11 compared to the 11 pro.
Additionally the massive improvements on the camera, and the battery efficiency from the A13 chip compared to A12. This may sound stupid but, last reason why I prefer the 11 pro?..... that dark green colour looks fantastic 😅
I am still rocking the iPhone X, but I think I am going to get the new 2012 iPhone just so I can call it my CoVid phone.
In all honesty: over the years as an Android (specifically Pixel) fan I have never even considered and iPhone. But the 11 Pro seems so incredibly complete that I am considering switching.

David Walker hey David, I just got it a couple days ago! The battery life is at 88 and there are quite a few small scratches on the screen, but otherwise I’d say it was a great buy! I got a 64GB XS and only paid $488. Pretty good deal imo!

Love my xs. I got it over the iPhone 11 (base model) and saved 100 bucks. Brand new from a retailer here in the uk. Was an easy choice for me. Oled display and 3d touch. Phone is crazy fast and though the cameras on the 11 series are better, the xs still produces quality. Battery will get you through a day. And as for night mode get yourself an app off the app store that will give u night mode for a couple of bucks.
Nobody has mentioned what I’m about to point out but has anybody looked at the SE Wallpapers? Apple puts out some good ones but the ones for the SE are especially good. I have the Black version and the Wallpaper for the Black is imho, the best! Why do I say that? Too many reviewers ding the SE because it has an LCD Retina display but the Wallpaper for the Black has something the others don’t really show very well. 3D depth! Too be sure the others have some and I don’t dislike them but the color combinations on the Black’s wallpaper has more depth. The yellow and green combinations just have depth and really show just what the SE’s display is capable of. It would be interesting to see what they would look like on the displays of the Xs/11Pro since the OLEDs are supposed to be superior.

Thanks for the video. I’m not really interested in the subject matter, but I love watching your videos. You do a great job and with the virus situation you’re keeping us entertained! Blessings. That said, you’ve taught me something! On Saturday I went out to shoot some photos of flowers, and the sun was so bright I could not see ANYTHING on my iPhone 7 Plus. I had to point and guess! So when I replace it, I’ll need an iPhone 11 Pro at least for screen brightness. Hoping for the 12 Pro Max later this year.
Screen brightness is a big difference in modern phones. When you are ready to upgrade, you'll enjoy it!
Get the pro for the battery life alone. Upgraded from my Samsung s9 plus with complete shit battery life. Couldn’t even get 3 hours of screen on time.

Got a gold xs max 256 gb I could’ve gotten by with 64 but you never know when you would need extra but it’s still a beast and the battery still last a full day and then some gonna hold on till the 12 and decide from there
The PWM of the 11 pro gave me a headache and could not deal with it. Switched back to the regular 11 & it's a great phone, although I still prefer the Note 10+...

I have owned like Every Note 📝 Phone 📱 but much GOD how stupid does Samsung and Google have to be not to support devices for 5 years like Apple. This is one of the main reason why I have the iPhone 📱 XS Max.

Wait for the iPhone 12 if you don’t “need” a phone right now.The iPhone 12 would be an upgraded iPhone 11, which was an upgraded XR. The equivalent of the Xs in 2020 would be the iPhone12 Pro, which will be an upgraded 11 Pro.

Yeah that's what separate the 11 Pro or 11 Pro Max from the XS or XS Max is the battery. Besides the battery, the processor and the camera technology separate the XS and the 11 Pro. I got the XS and I am okay with it. I got my eyes on the iPhone 12 Pro though. It reminds me of the 5S design that I loved. I don't know if I will upgrade or not. As of now, the XS is getting it done for me.

I switched to the 11 and the xs series feels more premium to me even still. Don’t switch, only thing that the 11 has is the extra camera.
I switched to the SE2 but I’m keeping my Xs (Gold 256GB) for use as an iPod at home. Still has 91% battery life left.
NeuralCam is night mode on an older iPhone... it is incredible
Upgraded from my iPhone X to the normal iPhone 11, didn’t want to pay the 1000$ price tag for the pro version, and must say no regrets. Battery on the normal 11 is good, night mode etc all works great.

I bought my iPhone Xs Max 64GB on the Facebook market for $300. And keep in mind this was back in November. No cracks battery health was at 100% granted I did buy it from an older gentleman that didn't want it and knew very little about tech. I still use it as my main phone and couldn't be happier!

I’m right there with you dude. Never owned an Apple product before my iPhone X. To me that was the game changer that pulled me to try it out. And the fact that Apple has control over all the things involved in their “ecosystem” makes the user experience undeniably superior. The only problem I have at this moment is they’re always behind the ball on rolling out new features. It takes them FOREVER to catch up. But when they do finally add things, they’re flawless. P.S. - The battery is incredible. Got my phone at launch, and the battery is still at 87%
Apple is known for not increasing their battery size year after year. That more than likely won't change this year and with the addition of a Promotion display on the 12 models, battery is going to take a bit of a hit. I think Apple nailed it with the 11 Pro and Pro Max with a perfect balance of a great screen, great speakers, great camera and great battery life. I'll be trying Apple for the first time this year and instead of waiting for the 12, I'm just going to get the 11 Pro.

i would argue that a) much better battery, b) better cameras (ultrawideangle + nightmode), c) better processor would indeed warrant the upgrade from Xs to 11 pro.

I upgraded from the Xs to the 11 Pro. Had to. For the first time in Apple’s history, with the exception of the great 7 Plus, you can have an iPhone with decent battery life! And then, the dismal performance in low light photography of the Xs got finally corrected in the 11 Pro.
I paid full price for both (1.349 €), so I still regret having spent the money on the Xs. To me, upgrading from the Xs to the 11 Pro is a no-brainer.
Bought a brand new Xs last month. Loving it. It's value for money and delivers almost the same level of performance as the 11 pro, for substantially less money.
Would upgrade when we get an iPhone that looks completely different from the current flagships.

traum you can just always just view RUclips on chrome and have an adblocker installed, if it bothers you that much . Most ads have the option to skip after 5 seconds .

Great video Travis. This is a hard choice. My first IOS experience was the iPhone11 and I love it. The 11 Pro Max looks excellent and the Xs is pretty sleek too. I would agree if someone has the Xs they are good. Anything older yes upgrade to the 11Pro.
A brand new XS Max here in NL costs a little less than a new 11.
Tbh if I had done my research better I think I should have bought the XS max instead of the 11.
I love my 11 but I couldn’t afford the 11 pro max, I should have researched properly that they sell in retail brand new XS max here.

Travis, I just took a picture of my house at night 9:12PM with the NeuralCam app and the standard Camera app supplied on my Xs. If you haven’t tried it it’s available for $3. It works on any pre 11 iPhone like the Xs, X, 8, SE2 and maybe even earlier. I have pics if you’re interested. Even though I’ve switched to the SE 2 as my regular phone, my Xs now serves as an iPod on steroids!
When my son upgraded to 11 Pro Max last year I was using a Huawei Mate 20 Pro (which I’d had for around 10 months and was first Android phone in years). Even though the camera was better on the Huawei I really missed the fluidity of iOS. So . . . I started using my sons XS Max and as it had just been replaced for new under warranty decided to keep on using it as my daily. I admit the camera is a step backwards and would appreciate the better camera on the 11 Pro, I can see me keeping this for at least another 1-2 yrs.

Apple needs to be much more transparent with respect to support length. Users should not have to guess. Regarding the updates argument, you miss a critical element in the discussion. App store developers typically only support current versions of ios. If you're iPhone can't be updated, you're not going to be able to download the most recent versions of any app. Android developers, on the other hand will typically support older versions of the OS for longer....Even an Android on Nougat can get the newest versions of most apps from the Play store. Apple ties app compatability to your ios update ability...Android does not...that's a key difference and is an overstated advantage of ios. Additionally, security patches and updates for core Google services are now being handled by Google directly through the Play store, meaning it doesn't really matter as much as it did in the past what version of Android your phone is running.
They have actually done new testing that is more like real life battery test. And the iPhone 11 pro max, Samsung ultra exunos, and oneplus 8 pro were all tested side by side. They all were almost the same the ultra died first with apple having 3% left on it and oneplus had 4% left on it. If it was the snapdragon ultra they said it would have clearly won. I say this because there is a lot of people who think that the iPhone 11 pro max has the absolute best batter life. But thats when they do drain test. Everyday test there actually all simular. In fact other phones beat out the iPhone in this test. I will send a link if anyone wants to watch. It on "ASBYT" channel.
Honestly, there aren’t any drawbacks in buying a XS/Xs Max other than battery if you live with your face in front of the screen. I’ve been using the Max version since it’s release and still love it till this day. An advise I can give to those interested in this device is to get the 256gb variant (or 512 for that matter).
Think the updates is a little overrated and the majority of consumers don't worry about them. Also, a lot of the best software updates require the latest hardware. No one I know considers that when getting a phone. Not saying what Apple does is a bad thing, I just see a lot of comments use that kinda as a selling point.

11 pro has a better camera, night mode, ultra wide camera, better battery, faster charging, and faster internet. I don’t see why getting one would be a bad thing.

Once you have night mode, I can't imagine not having it. The way I use my phone /camera it's definitely worth the additional cost to me.

I have an 8 Plus Travis. Its not my daily but its never too far from me. (especially now with SIP) Since my OnePlus 7 Pro is set to use gestures only, I find I want an iPhone without the home button. Would you recommend the 11 pro or waiting until the new iPhones drop in the fall?
If you want a button based one, wait until next year's SE Plus.

I'm using a 11 pro max presently, but before that I was using a iPhone X, and although I love my 11 pro max ,I think my iPhone X screen was brighter but it was just to small for my taste, and I must admit I preferred the iPhone X screen brightness over my 11 pro max whatever kind of magical retina display it's suppose to have, but I love my 11 pro max overall!

I just find out that I should have got the 256 GB for my iPhone 11 Pro Max because I have that massage iPhone storage is full but I Bought 256 on iPhone XS Max when I had that phone I was thinking 🤔 this is too much storage and I would never use it but I see now I was wrong about how much storage I need lol

I purchased a brand new iPhone X for $500 last December. I am very happy with the phone. iPhone X, XS, 11 Pro have almost the same design, main differences are camera and battery life. I don’t take much pictures and videos and battery life can be better but my phone was half the price. So everyone has to decide what phone is best for their needs.
Good video. I switched to iOS when the XS came out and it’s great. But dad has my old s9 and wants to go back to iPhone. He said he’ll have my old XS and will get me the new one.
