As a Christian and a huge Ethel Cain fan, thank you for continuing to react to her music. This song is certainly emotional to say the least, especially if you understand the story and lore behind it. Her storytelling and artistry in her lyrics have struck such a chord with me that she is now my favorite artist. For a lighter song request of hers, although still emotional, I would recommend God’s Country from her Inbred EP. It’s a personal favorite of mine (although I do prefer the solo version myself). A House in Nebraska is also gorgeous yet so tragic.
@@user-xj2sm3xd5l no its not girl... actually learn the lore before you come at me. Its about her being drugged and hallucinating. Her finally realizing how messed up her situation is. This is literally the description: "Under the influence of Isaiah’s drugs, Ethel begins to hallucinate. She confronts the darkness." I relate to this because my ex drugged, assulted and almost killed me, so thanks for being bitchy to me when I said this song is relatable. I can tell you commented this just to brag about how much you know about Ethel, but if you truly did, you'd know Hayden would hate your comment.
You're right about most of it, but she was eaten by Isaiah. It's lore as well. She's his "freezer bride" and sings about how "good he looks w her all over his mouth" after she was killed by him, not to mention the reference to being tough like smoked bovine hide.
@@CrimsonTide72 I never said she wasn't. This is about this specific song. They were accusing me of not knowing this song's lore. He eats part of her leg in a pychotic break. She was murdered in his attic and then kept in his basement freezer. I know all the lore trust me
hello. do the a capella version next. its nuts. also. ptolemaea is specifically the circle of hell for harming those under your care/hospitality. while i think it could extend to her experiences with her faith/community, but it's also her kidnapper.
@@paulschmehl2124 In the context of the album, this is about her kidnapper drugging her, in the next song he kills her and eventually eats her... its heartbreaking
@@paulschmehl2124 valid. it can be frustrating to not understand the words of a song, i just thought id say my piece because all u complained about was not understanding her. it would have made for a much better reaction if you knew the lyrics beforehand.
Y’all are trying to kill him 😭😭😭why would y’all have him react to this
I'll react to almost anything. All you have to do is ask. No guarantees that I will like it though.
LMFAO fr

Thank you for reacting to this! It's very cathartic to me as someone who's survied what she was going through

Probably one of the most distrubing song of the last couple years
Thank you
who requested this im crine 😭
I always credit the requester in the description. This one was anonymous.
You should try to react to her song strangers or sun bleached flies, both are much more understandable
omg, who baddie suggested him this song
okay try looking up the lyrics when you are listening before you make a video reaction perhaps....
I never do that. Part of my reaction is whether I can understand the words. I looked up the lyrics afterwards. Very dark.
