What are you most excited about for this release?
Nice work! This is good content to keep coming back to and learning about this update. And your content and editing keeps improving.
Thanks Cody!!
I'm so glad that this channel exists, thank you!
Thank you!
Awesome
This is the way
Great video. Please do more LazyVim.
Thank you! Any requests?
@@ascourter exactly like this was. Inteoduction to plugins and how things work. Want to migrate from vscode.
I see the current function also in the status line. How did you get that? Is it a plugin?
Good eye! This is from installing the aerial.nvim extra.
I switched to none-ls, works fine still. Still haven't tried LazyNvim but looks to be more like a pre-configured nvim rather than just a package manaer.
Is there a way to just get it as a manager or should I stick to packer ?
lazy.nvim is a package manager. LazyVim (not LazyNvim) shown in this video is basically what you said: pre-configured neovim.
@@ovidiu_nl ooohhhh, awesome!!
Exactly what @ovidiu_nl said. I have a video to switch from Packer to lazy.nvim if you want to make the switch.
@@ascourter TBF I haven't encountered a reason for requiring lazy loading of my packages, however, I do like the configuration aspect if offers. Reminds me of emacs use-package and It's a super comfortable model to work with.
I will definitely check your video out. I recently discovered your channel and I'm really liking it.
Hey very nice video. I wanted to check how are you using terminal with your neovim setup ?
I am currently using it like with :term command and then jumping buffers. Since its quiet frequently used thing I was wondering is you have any better workflow as I always get lost with terminal normal and insert mode in nvim terminal
Thank you! I personally use float term to quickly pop up a terminal and run some commands and hide it. I can then continue what I was doing and then reopen the terminal to see the output of a command or run a new command. I have a keymap for exiting terminal mode within the popup if I want to scroll or search up. Check it out here: github.com/exosyphon/nvim/blob/main/lua/exosyphon/remaps.lua
Hope this helps! This would probably be a good video so let me know if you have any other questions.
@@ascourter Nice, I started using floating terminal as of today :D Nice suggestion, thankyou
This is so useful. I like lazyvim but am having a tough time understanding what is going on.
This is like the missing documentation.
Thank you! Let me know if you have any other questions and I will make note for future videos.
Sure thing! Not sure if you use it, but the neotree plugin is just weird. It's included by default in lazyvim and I'm slowly trying to learn how to work with it.
@@sp3ctum I don't use that one, I really like oil.nvim and Telescope to find files quickly
waiting for more fresh and modern plugins
Before you try Neovim or specifically LazyVim?
@@ascourter both of them, more audience range
At this point, i doubt folke is really a human....
