Blue Alpha Gear you guys absolutely rock. TJ had you on his show (LeadSlingnGinger) and I really enjoyed it. I immediately bought a carry belt you guys make after that.
Still waiting on my blue alpha belt but I have my esstac kywi pouches and I wanted to see some installation vids. This was very helpful! Pumped to get everything set up and put it to use for my next training session. 👍
Lmao, I figured it out after I broke a partial nail off my thumb. Take the inserts out first, then use a rigid flat object ( I used my wide blade knife) to separate velcro to re-insert the kydex inserts.
meh, is it easier to install with them out? yes....taking them out and back in with the included Velcro is another story and might be even a longer hassle
For everyone struggling to insert the kydex again because of the velcro. Slide paper in there first, then slide the insert into position and remove the paper. So much easier, works on Spiritus rigs too because they can be a nightmare.
Someone that actually understands how these are supposed to be attached! I see so many people just loop them through and they are all floppy. No one knows how to attach alice/molle. Great video!
I just ordered my Blue Alpha Gear belt and was looking at the Esstac mag holders. I couldn’t decide on what attachment to get. I knew someone on RUclips had to have something. I’m ordering the WTFs now. Great video!
Another helpful tip is to use a rigid zip tie and feed it through the WTFix strap and then feed the ziptie through the webbing; then pull it through :D no need to remove the kydex or stretch out the webbing! You can get through all 4 straps in less than a few minutes :)
@@3KindsOfGuns it also helps if you bend the belt backwards a little to create a gap in the webbing. I had to convert a cereal spoon to a crack spoon to make sure i had the correct tools.
EXCELLENT! Thank you. I just got AR mags in front and pistol mags on the front pouches thanks to your video I got those WTF straps on the right way. I am going to order some more for my other stuff. Liked and subbed.
Thanks for the video. It was a huge help. For those of you like me who purchased the midlength version, you only use the top three rows(it is posted on the website as well). Everything worked like you showed it. You are right that it is a pain in the butt weaving it. Mine is on my shellback tactical rampage 2.0 placard which made it a lot easier than having to manipulate it on the a full vest.
Thanks bro ! Great video. So tip I figured out - THE SPOON ! - Use it for everything. When pushing the strap through the molle on the belt, put top of the strap on the spoon. Push the spoon through the first belt loop and set the tip of strap on TOP of spoon. It sticks because the material of the strap. Guide er on through. Money. Edit: same when weaving through mag pouch
Just bought a Blue Alpha Gear range belt and a couple of Estac mag pouches. This video was a HUGE help for me getting my mag pouches installed and ready for the range. Thanks for the sharing the info!
One thing I'm wondering. Guess I'll try when my belt is here but why not pull the WTFix through all the front molle strips then use hemostats to pull the long remaining tails through the back of the kywi?
Did this as well. Bro tip go ahead and save pushing that wft strap through the mag pouch until the end attach to belt first then run the strap all the way through the mag pouch.
Thanks for the video! The high tech spoon worked perfectly and I knew the proper orientation before I got started. Your video helped me get my rig setup in less than 20 minutes.
was changing my belt setup for big Navy watchstanding and forgot how to do the WTF straps..glad yours was the first vid that popped. good stuff. i'll send you a pic of the belt when its done. kisses.
Don’t know if you figured this out yet or not, but bend your belt the opposite way (bending belt molle inwards), and the molle will now expand making it a lot easier to snake whatever system you have through. Great video by the way
Dude! Good job man and thank you. Was looking at the pieces of my belt and going WTF? (I think that's why they're named that). Again thanks for doing this. Subbed.
When you put the straps in every row it makes it as if it is actually sewn into the belt or what ever you are attaching it to. I do it just for that piece of mind, I hate my stuff flapping around
That is true. I've been running that set up for a while now, and do not wish I used more. It's very secure, and stays tight to the belt. More certainly wouldn't hurt anything though.
Great video and thank you! This video totally clarified on how to set this up correctly. I can't wait to test out the Esstac Kywi and my new range belt.
Very helpful video, thank you for taking the time to show us a few tips & tricks! Looking at about the same setup (WPS battle belt & kywi pouches). How do you like the magazine spacing on this 2+2 side by side setup? I was thinking of doing all individual pistol/rifle pouches or double pistol gap & individual rifle pouches just so I can change/customize the belt if needed but it looks more like a fight it once and leave it system. Oh yeah, thumbs up for sure!
It's great. I really don't have a single complaint about it. I have run it about 6 or 7 times at the range, and am very happy. These mag pouches are very very fast. As always, please like, share, and subscribe!!
Awesome thanks! And your video is still the only one I see on RUclips. Great to see people like yourself who add these clips for the everyday man. Keep up the good work you just gained another sub
Thanks for the video man. Needed something thin to go through the little slits of a kydex sheath for a punch dagger on the front of my tactical baby carrier lol🤣. The standard button straps would not fit through and i didnt want to use zip ties like a peasant. 🤷🏻♂️
I ordered this war belt , and an esstac double mag pouch. I got that flex leg adapter you got for my safariland holster. I haven't gotten my belt yet , so I was just wondering does one of the belt buckles come off to throw the flex leg adapter on? Or how did you get that on? I bet it's simply , I was just wondering.
@@3KindsOfGuns thank you so much man. I think it sucks out of all the videos on RUclips , there's none that show how to install the holster. I can't wait to get my belt going man , I'm fucking excited.
If you are looking to buy these, dont bother, lasts about a shift on a duty belt before they loosen, yes I watched the video multiple times, yes I followed the directions, just go buy malice clips.
3 Kinds Of Guns yes I did. They are on a blue alpha gear 1.75 molle belt. WTFidea told me they will be that way since the straps weren’t designed for it
3 Kinds Of Guns I am using the shorts! I actually pulled the second portion of the tabs through the last slit in the straps to get it as tight as possible. I then tucked all the excess up inside the Kywis. Over time it will work its way out to where it will have a slight flop. They make a WTFix keeper that has multiple sizing tabs and I think it would be great if they designed their standard WTFix strap with that same design. Would completely eliminate any sizing issues.
@@3KindsOfGuns The Esstac mag pouches are not exactly cheap so while I appreciate the potential savings I would prefer a strong 50 gram heavier mag pouch over three pieves two of which are weaker and far more fiddly than regular straps. But that's just me :)

Esstac or another company should consider designing pistol holsters using this concept. A plastic retention holster wrapped in fabric.
So that is kind of what a lot of safariland holsters are going to now.
