I have no idea if you read these comments anymore, but I'd like to tell you that I first watched this video when I was around 12. Naturally it was my first time ever hearing of Derrida - but your video captivated me so much that I believed it was imperative that I read Of Grammatology at some point. I had a feeling just from your video I would really enjoy the book when I was ready. I kept that in the back of my head all the way through college. As I get ready to embark on graduate studies in literature, I am finally there. It is really rewarding to read a book I've so anticipated for so long. And when it was time to read the Odyssey, I went with Rieu's translation. So in a way, you've been one of my academic advisors for quite some time ❤
I was laughing at first because you play such a convincing Adviser, but right after that the tingles set in. Great job. Love the soothing voice and your scarf was an excellent choice because it sets off a warm and fuzzy vibe.
This video totally takes me back to my college years at the School of Languages at UNC... Congrats! It's great. Reminds me of the Linguistic and Discourse Analysis courses I took when I was younger. Great idea to include references for the material you described.
this was a great video, the background info on the books was also really interesting, would love to hear more about this sort of subject in your next video!
Homer's Greek is indeed very complicated and 'primitive' (if you could put it that way), as a Modern Greek I can barely understand a sentence here and there, it's even hard for Greek Philologists to read.
Your relaxing voice + your handsome face = ASMR heaven *subscribed!* And, you have very nice hands which makes it even more relaxing! I love your accent, too! Aaaah! I love everyhting, to be honest! You should definitely make a relaxing hands video, man! =]
9 years on this is still probably my favorite ASMR video. If you see this, I hope you're doing well. :)

I could die. This is so good. Your voice is absolutely perfect. And the "tuh" sound you make every now and then when you breathe... Chills. Love it.
