Sure need good old fun and laughs in 2020....and Carol, Harvey and Lyle are just what we need! Of course the same for Vicki and Tim...they're all *HILARIOUS!* Thanks for another great clip! :D
@@GeeBoggs What channel, just put of curiosity. I was hit head on by a 20ton sander truck on 1-5-78, just a month after my parents moved to a new house,. I was going to college full-time and working full time. Was actually on my first vacation and I only had a week plus they called me into work - all rigged so the town truck driver could slam into me on a double lane highway. I survived, which was disappointing to them, sincecI called an obvious stalking sex trafficker in that town a pig and to leave me alone. Sure was nice to watch Carol Burnett but couldn't for 6 weeks because everything had to be a whisper.
"Send an ambulance...NEVER MIND WHERE"? Whatever is that? The poor man was really desperate because of the sound man. Just recently I started watching these great videos and to my surprise actor Lyle Waggoner is part of this celebrated cast. I'm also glad because he participated on such an awarded program. To me he has always seemed as a fine gentleman and this has nothing to do with it, but what a good drunkie he portrayed! I never thought he would make me laugh; a very well prepared actor! February 9/2021.
Back in those days, the actors actually learned their lines! And they had blocking! In other words, we had true professional theater. The Not-Ready-for-Prime-Time-players showed that same level of of professionalism. After that, the SNL actors got away with more and more slack. No blocking; they’d walk on stage and basically stand in place for the scene. They’d look past each other to read the cue cards. Lazy. That’s all they gave so that’s all the audiences learned to expect. They haven’t known any better for decades. One cast member by the name of Kate McKinnen makes the effort and shines. She’s a professional. If the actors would just learn lines again I think I’d be tempted to tune back in but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
@@KCOliver1960 You're right, I had to look it up. Gil Gerard played Buck Rogers. I was a kid when I saw those shows. With his long dark hair, I thought he was Lyle. My oops!
Whoa, I wonder what led them to decide on “New York, New York” from On the Town as the intro music?! Wasn’t expecting to hear one of my favorite showtunes
I love this sketch. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love Carol’s outfit!! Seriously!
Yes
I can’t get over the tap dancing.🤣
CAROL & HARVEY NOT MISSING A BEAT (EVERY PUN INTENDED) & DANCING TO THE SOUND MAN'S MISCONSTRUED MUSIC ! HILARIOUS !

"It's better to have everything OUT IN THE OPEN ..." RRRRRRRIP!
'I'm ready to jo Gonesy'😅
The music that starts the play is the same that starts The Family sketches.
If Tim had played the drunk sound man, boy what that would have been like!
Whoever thought this sketch up was a genius!
Lyle Waggoner is SO underrated!

Who're you calling a slush?
-Lyle Waggoner
I watched every Monday night when these shows first aired. I never missed an episode. Mondays equaled “Lucy” and “The Carol Burnett Show.”
I thought it was Friday or Sunday that Carol Burnett was on.
@@annebradley6086 No. Always Monday nights.

Haven’t seen this before! So funny!!!
I never laughed so hard in a long time this is amazing.
But there's one wonderful scenario we've lost--the pants, SPLITTING. Lycra and Spandex have made life so easy!
ive been looking for this for ages.
Clicked on this video as soon as the notification came up...I love this channel!
Totally cute!
Thanks for this wonderful post. Who else thinks Harvey does a great Sir Lawrence Olivier?
Omg, I've never seen this one, it's AWESOME!
😅😂🤣😆 Thanks, I needed that! 😅
A classic!😂😂😂😂😂
That's 1 of my favorite sketches ever!
Personally would've covered up that lion's roar by saying"Never mind, he was just gassy!"
Laughed .... 🎃🎃🎃
This was actually LOL funny. 😊😊😊😊😊
I'm so happy to find this in a clip all to its own. Previously It was only in a whole show.
Thank you so very much!
I don't laugh with those stupid video's that dare you not to laugh, but with these old shows, they really know what's funny!
Somewhere I read that Lyle was basically for his looks. Later they found he could be as funny as the rest. Definitely!

Funny! 😂🎬📺
Someone is a fan of The Goon Show !!!!
Harvey Korman looks so different with hair, even if it is fake hair.
How many drinks has this sound man had??
Great memories from the early Carol Burnett Show. I just wish the outro music wasn't so loud compared to the sound level of the clip.
Ahhh, Lyle Wagner........... Buck Rogers. Does anyone else remember?
Harvey looked great with that hairdo. Fine diverse sitcom actor.
i dont remember him ever playing buck rogers.
Wrong comic. Lyle played Steve Trevor, Wonder Woman"s boyfriend.

When Comedy shows were actually funny.
This meh favorite
Was this a precursor skit to Funt and Mundane? It certainly had all the elements to those skits but this was funny nonetheless.
I was thinking the same...hilarious! :D
Does anyone remember CAROL burnett As a n irritating shirley temple type of child star and WHEN she walked the SOUND of tap dancing came OUT
0:37 don’t rush me sometimes I use to say that to mum!
Now that was hilarious!! but they all are.
Lmao a prediction of cell-phone ring-tones (fart)!
Whoa, I wonder what led them to decide on “New York, New York” from On the Town as the intro music?! Wasn’t expecting to hear one of my favorite showtunes
Good one
They did another version of this earlier in the show's run.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
So clever!
Genial
What song is the one playing with the cigarette case?
OMG 😂😂😂
Love it but it could have been worse it could have been Conway or Vicky
Is anybody else here bc of Micheal jackson video
Huh
Is carol burnett dead
Nope, Carol is 87 and still absolutely amazing
Aimee Fisher she’s fantastic!
@@mls_words_of_wisdom yes she is fabulous in every single way
No . . . but Harvey, Lyle and Tim are. Only she and Vicki Lawrence are still standing.
