I'd probably say to myself like "Is that Tom Green playing hockey on that frozen lake over there" and then one of my buddies would be like "nah", and we'd carry on with our day.
@@LowTempDabr lol ... we all know that's exactly what would happen ...i love this comment ... that happen to me and my friends with William Shatner at this old skatepark/mtb/paintball place but later we found out it was him on mancow show for some reason he was there but no one even went up to him we were all like na that not him and went on with our day of riding
Gretzky has a story where he would go play pond hockey with other Oilers after winning the Stanley Cup. Out there on the pond with a bunch of randos. Just because they wanted to play.
Canada's top 5 most important contributions to the world... 1. Norm MacDonald 2. Hockey 3. Tom Green 4. Instant Mashed Potatoes 5. The Red Green Show Glad you are back home Tom!
What's inspiring to me, is the *miracle* that you are able to skate after all you've been through with those feet after everything that happened in Costa Rica, and the successful recovery thanks to Toronto to Sunnybrook Burn Center and the ongoing care by your health care team on your healing journey. If you had not have said we never would have known you were going through something so serious. Your pond hockey moments have added bonus giving someone going through something comparable so much hope.
He shoots he scores!🎉 Stomping Tom playing in the background The good old Hockey game! 😊 Nice to see you having fun and enjoying the great Canadian wilderness! Luv&Peace Tom!✌🏼💫
PSS - The greatest compliment I can give you Tom is that you are artistic even when you are not trying to be. Natural Artist. Everything you do and say is interesting, and yes, even the mundane. I sense some cooking videos coming soon, hopefully. best wishes.
You picked the right choice going back to your homeland! Looks very peaceful and good for the soul in a beautiful place there! Charlie would be loving it
Tom..."Keep your stick on the ice"..."I got a breakaway and ended up on the St. Lawrence".... "2 minutes for lookin' so good" and of course the old song..."Clear the track, here comes Shack" those quotes were going through my mind while watching you dangling around with the puck...cheers from a Canuck living in Sweden 🏒🥅🤟🤠
Poignant take Tom, I liked this reminiscence. Just goes to show us that individual roots do ground ya as we all go through this life. Nice cinematography.
Very good memories , i grew up partly on Diefenbaker lake in sask. and i to was a shitty hockey player but loved every minute of it. Thanks Tom keep up the great work. cheers Oh and Happy St Patrick day. 🍀🍀
First day on the frozen ponds was like Christmas morning to me. Looked forward to the first outdoor skate every year, it's hard to put into words how great skating is on a frozen lake on a sunny day.
Ohhh this made me smile and remember playing hockey with the neighborhood kids on our pond. The boys would say " we'll go get hot chocolate:" and they wouldn't return until the girls had the pond all snow free and shoveled. He shoots, he scores, he's Tom fn green!
Genuinely envious. I have not skated on a frozen lake ever. Moved to a place where that should be possible but it's been to warm. I am glad you got to enjoy that.
Glad you came home. I think we all do that in our youth, have to escape and see the world. If you're ever in Collingwood, stop by and have dinner with my family and I.
Glad you stayed near the edge of the water. Growing up in Maine, my dad always said "Never trust the ice". That said, we were always skating. Our neighbor would flood an area on his property behind his garage for us kids to skate on which was so fun!
I got way into NHL games this year. I’m obsessed with hockey, it helps me get my mind off things. Vegas Golden Knights Fan but Canucks, Oilers and Calgary are bad ass teams ⚔️🛡️⚔️
=) That’s so beautiful man. It’s like the very top of best places to live. The surrounding, the animal friends, being near family and friends. That’s the best. That sound, the sound of the stick on the ice…It’s a familiar sound that translates to joy. ..and it’s just over there. There’s even a chair.
Tom Green, you're the man! My girlfriend and I saw you live at yuk yuks in Hamilton Ontario many 🌙s ago. We are now married with 2 children and still have the "daddy would you like some sausage" t-shirt you signed for us. We watch freddy got Fingered at least every 6 months. Glad you moved out of LA. I heard it's a dump there, same reason we moved outta Hamilton and to the boonies of Nova Scotia. Enjoy life my friend i know you will!
This is a true Canadian, playing hockey till the sun goes down, specially on a frozen lake. I laughed pretty good at the Dog barking at wolves. LOL 6:30
🇨🇦Oh Canada🎶🎉 Love this. It looks just like an edge of the undeveloped wilderness forty thousand acre lake I grew up on. Im thrilled that it froze solid enough that you could casually enjoy it. You worked so hard before to enjoy this on your pond🙏 This is super sweet to watch you getting to enjoy it so effortlessly. There was the same silence at my lake too. Thats very special, and a feeling one has to experience to fully appreciate. Its vastness yet closeness all at that same time. That was the only home I knew until I left home. Five years ago the 700 acres I grew up on on the lake was flattened by a major storm. Only the land and the lake survived intact, the entire forest was pushed flat to the ground. But seeing and experiencing your place I get to pretend Im back there back home for a moment visiting that property, the forest is still standing, the wind still blows through the leaves on the trees, and that storm mever happened. When Im at your place through your videos Im home again, thank you so very much for that Tom. I love you so much Tom💋 I love you Charley🥰 I love you Fanny🎉 and Kia🎉 i love you Canada🤗
I have to say Tom, I'm glad you are still making content, and I've always enjoyed your comedy and personality. From my earlier days of watching the movies you were in and seeing you live in Cleveland, and getting heckled for having to use the bathroom right at the point of you talking about jerking off in the bushes😂. All good fun, and I have spent many summers in Gananoque Canada at a cottage formally owned by the author Agnes Maule Machar. Getting to know Canadians and spending a lot of time there was great. Thank you for all of the content over the years and I will continue watching. 🍻
Beautiful location. Beautiful weather. Beautiful hockey skills. Beautiful dog. Beautiful camera work... Uh, let's see... Beautiful hat. Beautiful pucks. Beautiful little stick in the background, half frozen in the beautiful lake.
Watched start to finish purely because Tom is a full on genuine dude. And the footage is beautiful. I'm near Vancouver BC so our lakes rarely ever freeze up like this. Eastern Canada is its own type of beauty for sure. Tom you ever visited the Sunshine Coast near Vancouver? Most people think it's on Vancouver Island due to the ferry ride but it's not even an island, and is still part of the mainland.
Yes, silence and real life where you are. I hate hockey (yup, I'm Canadian but can't stand hockey) but I love watching someone practice with the goals. That was nice. Have a great day! 🙂
Tom, I highly encourage you to look into a local mens league 50+. I recently got back into organized play after 18 years, and man, did i ever miss it without knowing it! Great ice out there man! Cheers, and hope you get back on the ice!
Cashing out of LA and moving to rural Canada was a genius move sir 🙏
Great for Tom health in general, LA a shit hole.
he's a maverick
Agree
some would say Cashing IN....
@Frenchstud69 Some would call themselves STUD? And LIKE their own comment. 👏
Imagine going a walk just to see Tom green randomly playing hockey on a frozen lake
I'd probably say to myself like "Is that Tom Green playing hockey on that frozen lake over there" and then one of my buddies would be like "nah", and we'd carry on with our day.

@@43unit213I think his land borders a lake, but I don't think it's a private lake.

This isn’t the first time I’ve been impressed by Tom’s skating skills
That's freaking beautiful. We call that wild ice in Minnesota. ✌️ Be safe out there, keep your stick on the ice 🏒

I was thinking the same thing. That has to be hard on his foot
Haha Tom I am wearing that same hat! I've been wearing it all winter. It's great to see you. Love you brother.
I'm glad you're back home in Canada Tom.

I'm jealous of the rural outdoor life you get to live now!

This was my preferred way to start the week.... thanks!

The sound traveling through the ice sounds awesome!
I had a cup of Red Rose tea while watching your adventures on lake. Very peaceful.
So much to do in Canada and four full seasons to enjoy.
One of the few benefits of our cold weather....the outdoor hockey.
I can just hear hockey parent yelling 'keep your stick on the ice'.
Thanks for the relief Tom
