- This year's Western States 100 was one for the history books! Incredible performances all around and insanely close finishes. In this video, I go over the race step by step, aid station to aid station to paint a picture of the race and tell you who came out on top!
Western States 100 is the first 100 mile race in the world and has one of the deepest, most competitive fields of any race in the world. This year we had incredible performances from Jim Walmsley, Katie Schide, Rod Farvard, Fuzhao Xiang, Haden Hawks, and Eszter Csillag.

Who were you rooting for in this year's Western States 100? I thought John Albon was going to end up taking the win for the men and Katie for the women. Got one of them right!
Difficult to go against Jim in any race lately....I had Farvard so I was close I guess

Did not expect to see a sprint for second on the track! Rod did such a good job of keeping up with, and passing back forth with, Jim, but Jim’s going to Jim! What amazing performances all around. Crazy how so many performances here would have dominated even just 10 years ago! It’s becoming such a stacked race.
I’m surprised that Rod was able to hold on for second like he did! Usually when runners fade at Western they fade HARD. Such a crazy race!
