ST. TERESA BENEDICTA OF THE CROSS: “It has always been far from me to think that God’s mercy allows itself to be circumscribed (limited) by the visible Church’s boundaries. God is Truth. All who seek truth seek God, whether this is clear to them or not.”
You mean it’s borne out, not “beared out,” but yes, mirror neurons are part of basic mammalian brain anatomy and physiology, more or less, depending upon the species, and are partly responsible for our ability to “feel together” (which is sympathy) and to understand the feelings of another, while maintaining a healthy distance, which is empathy. Both are important and necessary. The two are often confused and misused, I haven’t read Stein’s work so can’t offer an opinion, but there’s an important distinction there that a lot of people miss.

It is not possible to be a "girlboss" and follow the word of God at the same time. True Christianity requires women to be submissive to their husbands, AKA not the boss. (Ephesians 5:23) Even if a woman is a nun, they cannot have any position of authority over men in the church, again AKA not the boss. (1 Timothy 2:12)
@@Littlemermaid17 is it though? Seems to me like Matt hesitates a lot to call out the evil that is feminism, especially when his guest is a self proclaimed "catholic feminist". Two mutually exclusive categories.
Man is the authority no question, but for a man to feel the need to enforce that everytime seems to come from a place of insecurity rather than true authority. The way God sees it, authority = service. Everytime a man brings up "who's the boss," the entitlement jumps out. There seems to be more of an attachment to power itself than the responsibility it entails. Seems to be that the problem of gender politics is that authority is seen as a right to be attained for oneself rather than a responsibility.
