- Today, I am officially back from my long break, and I am beginning a brand-new series of videos for my Monsters, Inc. toy box. In this video, I will play through my toy box world so that you can see many of the games and activities that the toy box provides, which includes a scare challenge designed by my good friend, Poppa-H! Enjoy!
They removed some monsters university contents in 1.0 before they release the game
Great Map, really feels like you are in that world ... but the scare floor design and storage doors section were amazing !!! Great work.
Thank you! It turned out better than I expected, considering we have very few building pieces for that world. I had to get really creative with the basic blocks!

This is AMZING! Not only does it make me want to build this particular Toybox, but I can’t wait to learn some new things (like how to get some of the toys from power discs to stay in a Toybox).
Thank you! I’ve shown how to get certain power disc vehicles and mounts to stay in the toy box in other videos. There’s a Toy Box Tutorials episode that covers the Vehicle Summoner, which is the toy you need to do that, and I’ve also used this toy in numerous toy box builds (the DuckTales and Age of Ultron toy boxes come to mind). So, if you don’t want to wait to find out how to do that, you can check out those videos.
Dude I just finished the monsters university game and I go to my home on youtube and this is the first video I see and I am so happy I completed the full game so I can use all the toys I unlocked to build this. Thank you Mr.Toybox for making my day! ❤ And I can't wait to build this toybox and play it🎉
That’s awesome! I should point out, though, that you’ll need to build this in 3.0. All of my toy boxes are designed for 3.0. If you’re on console, and you have 3.0, just place the game piece on the base while you’re in the 3.0 toy box, and it will unlock all of the MU building pieces for you - you won’t have to purchase them from the toy store.
Thanks I was wondering how that would work if I unlocked all the stuff in 1.0 and be able to get the stuff also in 3.0 so thank you for your helpful comment😊
Really looking forward to building this. SW content is in my comfort zone, and your builds always push me in directions I would not have considered on my own. Your toy boxes always include great builds and stories to go along with the build.
Thank you! I tend to focus more on Disney and Pixar toy boxes, since other creators tend to focus mainly on Star Wars and Marvel, and besides I love classic Disney movies and cartoons. But, I agree it’s good to stretch myself once in awhile by doing something different.
This is so cool, I'll definitely be building this. I tried to make one but I couldn't figure out how to build the walls XD, Monsters Inc is my favourite movie, amazing job!!

He sure is! The scare challenge was a great idea, even though it was tricky to figure out the logic to make it work. But I think it worked out great in the end! Thanks!
I noticed one of the kids in this mission is a townsperson of Lewis from Meet The Robinsons.
Yup! There are only so many townspeople who are kids.

This is just amazing! I try to understand how to build a toy box with games but it seems so complicated to me. I need to go back to your teaching videos and watch 'em about a 100 times. Then maybe I could understand. Anyway, thanks for this!
You can do it! The step-by-step instructions in my videos should help. I try not to skip anything, especially with the logic.
Man, you're outdoing yourself every time Professor. Especially the concept of a more luck-based game with the door challenge. Also love the old Monsters Inc. Videogame reference. incredible job and I'll know what to do for the next couple of months. XD

This a masterpiece!!! Looks amazing, with gameplay elements galore!!! The City looks great, along with the factory. The door room with rail slides is sooo good! The Stealth mini game is a fun addition but you really knocked it out of the park with the Scare Floor!!! The challenge works so well!!! Funny too, and I'm so glad to have had some input with that. It was one of the biggest logic brainstorming sessions I've ever had, but you executed it to perfection dude 😎

Came back here when D23 announced a suspended coaster inside the door vault.
I stopped playing due to limitations in what I unlocked with the figures and playsets I have. Combat and racing is only really fun when you are playing with another person. I do wish I could explore other toy box so I can play with things I don’t have, like specific packs and tools limited from power discs to sailing on a ship from Toybox Takeover (something I don’t have). Regardless, it brings me great joy watching your videos.
Fun fact: The eight legged horse’s name is Sleipnir. Common figure associated with Odin in Norse Mythology.

Thank you! I do too. I can think of lots of toy boxes where I could use that kind of game... an Incredibles toy box, a spy toy box featuring Black Widow or Captain America (maybe infiltrating a Hydra base), a Perry the Platypus toy box - the possibilities are endless!
@@professortoybox I think I remember a mini game in 1.0 with the Incredibles and spotlights. Could be a false memory but I believe there was one. I can’t go back and confirm but maybe someone else recalls it.
@@timfolly7323 I think that was Violet’s toy box adventure. Each character had their own unique toy box adventure.
@@professortoybox thanks! So I’m not crazy. I was remembering Violet. But everything else was fuzzy. Glad you remembered. Metal Gear Solid was one of my favorite PlayStation games and it was all about stealth and not shooting and fighting everyone. Stealth is a good change of pace. @@professortoybox I found a video of Violet’s stealth adventure. I don’t believe they gave us toys to recreate it as is but maybe your stealth game has all the elements.

When you enter the factory what does that door leads to not the one that leads to the storage area of the other one
That’s the exit. It takes you back out to the city.

You mean, like the paintball game that I suggested? That is a good idea. I would have added the paintball game from my Player Battles series, episode 1, if I had the memory for it.
@@professortoybox no, In the doors minigame, you could place enemies to scare them too, it is possible to make them ignore the player
@@simaofeliz24 Oh I see. Yes, it is probably possible to do that too. But I think PoppaH and I were trying to capture the feel of the scaring job from the movie.
