WOW The Olive tree is thriving in the garden. The "window wells" are great. Mick and Yanis are experts with everything. Thanks for sharing your plans for the convent with us, Billy. Until tomorrow...
Love the airel view with the fog, very nice. The yard looks so nice with all that grass, no weeds either. I have a unit on my wall downstairs that conditionally has hot water, love it. Yanis and your father are doing a very nice job. Till tomorrow next time.
What a beautiful opening shot. Those establishing aerials are always a crowd pleaser. Thank you Billy for another lovely video of your progress and steps to be taken next. The entryway is looking lovely. The kitchen has a nice layout and the lighting is beautiful. The grounds are coming along nicely, and I can't wait for the library to start being assembled. I also want to take the moment to thank you for trading in your tesla. I really wish everyone would do so.
I agree about the Tesla , just on the grounds of fire safety. I've seen at least twenty videos of the batteries overheating creating explosions ,unbelievable amounts of toxic smoke , and burning homes down. Our fire departments are instructed to let them burn out on their own because we don't have equipment training etc to put them out and it's too dangerous to get close to the batteries .
A note on the hot water tank placement -- The synergy you described at ~6:15 would work great in the summer, but.... In the winter the library heat exchanger will be putting cold air to the outdoors, so you'd be chilling down the hot water tanks, if they were right by the exchanger. in short, in the winter the HPWH and the HP exchanger for the library would be competing for warm air. The tech can probably talk to you more about this.
Ah also! When you talk to the plumber about installing the HPWH and the hot water recirculation loop, be sure they've done something similar in the past! Recirc loops can disrupt the temp stratification in the HPWH tank and make them work poorly, so you often need a separate storage tank to pair with it. Want to see everything succeed! Such an amazing project and dedicated people :)
Mike and Yanis did a great job on the window wells! The garden is going to be beautiful this summer!! Hoping your work passes inspection, Billy…no doubt here! It won’t be fun carrying that water heater to that basement room. 😱. What has Ryan been doing? Miss him!! Love from Pennsylvania 💕🌷🐻
Yes, we really do miss Rick, not just for his amazing smile and lovely personality, but he was a hard grafter and not afraid of the grubby horrible jobs. Wherever you are Rick, stay safe and healthy. 😃
The back garden is looking amazing. That grass now looks so lush and green it’s hard to imagine it as the weed jungle it was about a year ago. Well done to your Dad for all of his hard work out there.
Wow! Mick and Yanis are doing an amazing job with those window wells. Who knew that Yanis would become a brickie (bricklayer) too!! He's a jack of all trades now 😁
You’re very smart to install the loop to ensure hot water. We have tankless hot water heaters in both of our homes and it does take some time for the hot water to circulate. Once it does, it’s unlimited , which is nice.
You should look into putting tankless hot water heaters upstairs near the bedrooms. Then you don’t have to use power to keep the water hot all the time especially when here is no one using the water.. big waste of power. Have them in my house and it works so well.
My grandfathers and uncles have been Freemasons since coming to America in the 1600s. They were then and continue to be now upstanding and successful gentlemen.
"Freemasonry: the teachings and practices of the fraternal order of Free and Accepted Masons, the largest worldwide secret society-an oath-bound society, often devoted to fellowship, moral discipline, and mutual assistance, that conceals at least some of its rituals, customs, or activities from the public" are not synonymous with stone masons. Fyi
Last two houses I had Grundfos pumps for the hot water as you described, worked perfectly. Coming along really nicely Billy - kudos to you, yor dad and Yanis 🥰😎💯
In the UK, we call them 'light wells' ( sometimes area wells). That's also their name in France. Although they used to be called 'wolf jumps' !! They originated in old castle designs.
Hey Billy I love the 11:23 opening music lots of small jobs adds up to massive progress can't wsit to see what you all get up to in the coming days and weeks. How's your brother Micheal doing .❤❤
So the heat pump on the water heater will cool the room as it extracts heat to put into the water. So you need to have the room well vented to keep the water heater efficient.
Make sure you consider a condensate drain for the water from the heat pump water heater. Just like an air conditioner, there will be water that needs to drain to somewhere. Also, the water heater itself should have a drain pan with planned water path should the water heater leak (and they always do at end of their life).
When you make the grate over the window wells . Two layers one layer of wire mesh to stop rats and mice and other layer to stop a person, falling in. The fine mesh will also keep leaves etc out too. Oh one extra thing put a light in the basement room.
are you planning on putting weather roofs over the basement vents, Yannis did a lovely mason job on them, that man has a nack!!! If you do not want to do a wood type weather roof, many people put a plexi top on them, can still breath and you will not get rain intrusion into the wall hole and into your basement. Best Wishes
they have a sump, it’s lower than the vents of the building so any water just drains into the soil but the roof also overhangs a bit so any rain is very minimal
In the states we call them "window wells", I'm about to install 4 heat pumps and watching this reminded me that I need to pour a concrete base for the outdoor unit. 😎
I'm simply curious if you explored on demand hot water systems given the multiple places you will need hot water. They are tankless systems so your need for a secondary heating source is eliminated. Is it possibly the cost for installing several units? Just asking. 😁 Crack on!
When you dig up the basement floor, please use the metal detector down there. I have had a feeling this entire time that something interesting was going on in the basement room where you found the wine rack.
I know it's cold, but please don't put your hands in your pockets while walking; especially, going down the stairs. I had a friend who went to get his paper; put his hands in his pockets; fell on his drive and ended up in the hospital for about two weeks. Just trying to keep you healthy. Enjoy your efforts to save the pipe organs and look forward to a concert. Thank you for including the YT audience in your work.
Hi Billy. In the US we call those things Mick and Yanis are building "window wells". Lovely video as always.
Canada too. Came here to say the same thing
@@jasonmac8206me too 😊💕🇨🇦
And us too... 'Window Wells' ~ Love from Southern Ontario, Canada ❤🇨🇦☃🕊
Thanks Billy.

So happy to see the olive tree!! It looks fantastic! What a lovely, sturdy trunk!!!

Cheers from Ukraine! Thanks for the regular content...fun to see rebuilding not demolition...❤💙💛
Slava Ukraine!

Still amazes me when ever you show the gardens - the boys did an amazing job !!!
It's incredible how you can enter an area and know exactly what needs to happen! Great job guys
Beautiful. Can’t wait to see the library finished. Crack On
Perfect music to go along with the eerie weather.

Your filming is always excellent Billy. Very atmospheric at the beginning and great music xxx💕💕💕
I agree, the back gardens look absolutely amazing! Thanks for another very interesting video!
Here in Canada we call them window wells, looking fantastic! Well done everyone!
Some time soon, Yanis will be able to spot a house he likes and say, 'I think I'll build one of those.' Taught by the best.
Life skills... He will never be without work if he wants
As always, great music selection!
Thank you for this respite from the terrible thing happening here in Washington DC
We need to take our minds off the terrible tragedies don’t we. I love this channel ❤
I cried when I heard of the plane crash- in DC and in Philadelphia.
And Philly, too! 🥺😢

Ryan’s been helping the Moons with their website for merchandise x
Love Mick teaching Yannis yet more skills🩷👌👏
Intro looks like a British crime mystery. Buckle up.
Watching some of the manual labor tasks has me missing Rick and that infectious smile
@@HabitualButtonPusher We keep in touch he’s doing alright! we will see him again on the channel i’m very sure!
Yes I miss his smile too. I hope he’s happy and working in the UK.
Yes, we really do miss Rick, not just for his amazing smile and lovely personality, but he was a hard grafter and not afraid of the grubby horrible jobs. Wherever you are Rick, stay safe and healthy. 😃
Lovely intro. She's a grand old building, realise the scale of it, looking at the back view.
Looking forward to your 2025 plans. I know it will be fun keeping up with "Team Petherick"😊
The back garden is looking amazing. That grass now looks so lush and green it’s hard to imagine it as the weed jungle it was about a year ago. Well done to your Dad for all of his hard work out there.
They’re called window wells.
You are so dependable and forthright ❤
Such pretty piano music! Love the foggy scene too.
Wow! Mick and Yanis are doing an amazing job with those window wells. Who knew that Yanis would become a brickie (bricklayer) too!! He's a jack of all trades now 😁
Hello from Memphis Tennessee.. When Simon comes back you should have him metal detect the dirt floors in the basement .never know what was hidden
Beautiful, beautiful and beautiful 🎉
Thanks for sharing Billy
Yanis! Don’t cement yourself in!
Yes we in most of Canada call them window wells
That grass your Dad planted looks Great!
You always have very practical ideas😊
Exciting year ahead Billy xx 🎉🎉🎉

Great job Yanis and Dad 🎉🎉🎉 Billy there is always another job 😅🎉
Cool to see Yanis working away inside the window well. It would be amusing to see Billy give it a try.
I absolutely love doing stonework but leaving dad and yanis in charge yanis hasn’t tried it before so gives him something new to learn
Love your music.Yannis is a man devoted to accuracy. I love that.
Who else wonders how Yanis got out of that window well?
I wasn’t worried. As sort as he has demonstrated before, he probably jumped out of it!!!
Great choice of opening tune Billy. FERRIS WHEEL by Mats Raynard, the whole album is worth a download.
a grate I think is the word for the covers that keep people from falling in.
Yes, I have always known them as window wells. Beautiful job. XXX
Where I live in the US those "thingies" 8:48 are called a "window well".
Nice job, Billy! Looking forward to more fun!
Thank you Billy !

Hey Billy I love the 11:23 opening music lots of small jobs adds up to massive progress can't wsit to see what you all get up to in the coming days and weeks. How's your brother Micheal doing .❤❤
Michael is staying with Stephanie at Lalande you can see him in The Chateau Diaries
So the heat pump on the water heater will cool the room as it extracts heat to put into the water. So you need to have the room well vented to keep the water heater efficient.
Yes, showtime with the boys!!!!
A I looks amazing with out the overgrowth
Great thought to use cobbles!
Billy, you can put that pump on a timer. I have one on my house and have the hot water feed active during peak hours and off when not in use.
Thank you for sharing 😊
Is Simon coming back? I think those walls are called basement air access wells or generally window wells.
We miss Simon too.
And with all that teasing - he kept the moustache!
I know right its just awful

Quality always wins....
Question: what do you plan to turn the old convent into? I love how the Library is turning out!
From what I understand, Billy’s wife, Gwendolyn will run business there … wellness days, artisan workshops etc.
Call a window well in USA.
In the states we call them "window wells", I'm about to install 4 heat pumps and watching this reminded me that I need to pour a concrete base for the outdoor unit. 😎
Window Well Walls❤
Love this!! 👏👏
The heating unit is going to be a game. Hanger isn’t it. Everyone is doing a terrific job.
Great job. Glad u will have heat soon
Will that water heater fit down the basement stairs? Or will you have to take it all the way around to the cellar doors?
it will, but avoiding some scratches will be fun

Je bent weer goed bezig Billy😃💪🏻
😊🏴
All exciting, Billy!
7:20 - is that the olive tree you had in the kitchen for a while? It's doing a lot better outside!
Looking at 7:41 and the fact you need to build window wells, how did you determine to raise the outside grade as opposed to lowering it?
I was thinking that too. Even with a membrane raising the level that much could lead to damp.
I know it's cold, but please don't put your hands in your pockets while walking; especially, going down the stairs. I had a friend who went to get his paper; put his hands in his pockets; fell on his drive and ended up in the hospital for about two weeks. Just trying to keep you healthy.

“Window wells” is the term you’re looking for.
I hope you find something cool when digging out the basement floor. 😀
I was going to say the olive tree is looking well from a previous video, but man, that thing is BUFF!! 💪
hugs
👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️
👍👏🌟🍀💐
😍
Mate, you’re really cracking on this year! You need to finish ASAP to help out at Pannard! 😂
I would call it a wall but I'm not expert.
❤
Do they have under the sink on-demand water heaters in France?
. 8:48 -- They are window wells. And I think you are talking about window well covers to keep the cat out.

How about using point of use heaters at the source whee needed in the rooms above.
