I don't think that's the case. It's irresponsible and irrational to accept conspiracy theories at face value. Tom Macdonald is simply rapping about his own opinions. There are a lot of complicated interdependent systems in place from a Political Economic standpoint. We have a tendency to reduce these complex problems to a low resolution level (Illuminati). It's hard to conceptualize these topics in a rational sense (as your default) if you don't have a fundamental understanding of human behavior and ,macro/micro-economic systems it's pretty tough to make sense of things.
