Before this video today, I thought about selling some shares. I bought 4,000 shares at $9.50. Made a great profit. One thing I have learned over the years of investing, don’t get greedy. However, if PLTR does go down, I’d consider buying again. It is an amazing company.

I think we are in the early days of the next technological revolution. The Dawn of the AI era. The question is if Palantir is going to be one of the big dogs of the future, which I think it will be. The government and military collaborations at that access level are very rare and give them a enormous moat. I feel this the bottom floor of a future Apple/Microsoft type company.
I went into PLTR back in 2020 when it was at $22 (weighted average purchase price). Biggest position I ever took outside of index funds. Watched it go all the way down to $6. Those were some cold lonely days and nights. Not selling for the next 15-20 years.
bro, you are forgetting a very important point in that even if Palantir isnt really making big returns on their own then the Nasdaq 100 and S&p can literally carry them up 20% to 30%. Yes, the overall market going up can carry other large cap stocks with them regardless of how flat an individual business might be alone.
Regarding the segment about your thoughts on Palantir, in my opinion, the real question is the following: before deciding whether or not to take profits on part of your investment, in what company will you reinvest the profits into? Your analysis is sound if you have already identified a company with greater potential in the short, medium or long term. Otherwise, is it really worth the risk of seeing the price reach new highs while leaving money sitting on the sidelines?
I also cashed out out some shares today, but only 5% of my position. If it goes to 75 I'll take a bit more. Beyond that I'll hold the remainder for the long haul unless something changes with the company.
I regret selling a big position at $49. I recommend others to put a stop loss at a certain price and keep moving it up if you feel like selling. Hold your shares, they are worth gold right now.
Really good input Jeremy and I reach the same conclusion....long term (10 years) it is probably a winner but short term, It's gonna be tough...holding only 3220 shares (started at 8 usd) but I will unload 80% of it after possible Nasdaq 100 inclusion and what worries me is that we should see at least on a weekly basis private deal announcements with real cash amounts displayed which is not the case...how then are we gonna beat the next earnings? This stock is gonna get some serious haircut sooner that we expect and this will be then a terrific entry point (this happened to Tesla and others, this does not mean they're not great companies).
The "house money" view is just a psychological trick to make you feel better. Consider this : a stock you decide to hold is exactly as if you are accepting to buy it at the current price every single day that you hold it.

Valuation absolutely matters. Palantir, although an exceptional company, is extremely over valued right now. Take your profits and look for a good re-entry point if you love the company that much. I sold some and sold covered calls against the rest. I loved the ride up but this won't end well for PLTR. Anything that spikes up this fast will usually come crashing down. I've seen it so many times.

I love you, but PLTR is still very early. They have quietly become the #4 defense contractor behind Lockheed. They just expanded their dealings with MS, so PLTR is getting the Azure treatment. Dont get me wrong I took some off the table, but most people are still asleep on this one. It isnt going to 10X in the next 2 years, but its going to be a number greater than 2X.
PLTR will be at least $500k a share someday. Maybe sooner than you think. I've always believed it was the next Microsoft. Could imagine selling Microsoft when it first hit $70 😂
I took 500 of my 4000 shares off the table at $71. My cost bases is $15.15 If it keeps running I’ll take more off the table as this reminds me a lot of Tesla where didn’t take anything off the table which was a huge mistake I won’t make again
I think Palantir will continue to grow. Given what they were able to do with F1 in their latest video, the applications are endless. I see it as something like Excel, PPT, or SAP...it will be essential to have to operate and it's going to happen quicker than anyone thinks.

Before this video today, I thought about selling some shares. I bought 4,000 shares at $9.50. Made a great profit. One thing I have learned over the years of investing, don’t get greedy. However, if PLTR does go down, I’d consider buying again. It is an amazing company.

I went into PLTR back in 2020 when it was at $22 (weighted average purchase price). Biggest position I ever took outside of index funds. Watched it go all the way down to $6. Those were some cold lonely days and nights.

bro, you are forgetting a very important point in that even if Palantir isnt really making big returns on their own then the Nasdaq 100 and S&p can literally carry them up 20% to 30%. Yes, the overall market going up can carry other large cap stocks with them regardless of how flat an individual business might be alone.
Regarding the segment about your thoughts on Palantir, in my opinion, the real question is the following: before deciding whether or not to take profits on part of your investment, in what company will you reinvest the profits into? Your analysis is sound if you have already identified a company with greater potential in the short, medium or long term. Otherwise, is it really worth the risk of seeing the price reach new highs while leaving money sitting on the sidelines?
Palantir still has a 5x potential on the next 4 years.

I also cashed out out some shares today, but only 5% of my position. If it goes to 75 I'll take a bit more. Beyond that I'll hold the remainder for the long haul unless something changes with the company.
I regret selling a big position at $49. I recommend others to put a stop loss at a certain price and keep moving it up if you feel like selling. Hold your shares, they are worth gold right now.

Really good input Jeremy and I reach the same conclusion....long term (10 years) it is probably a winner but short term, It's gonna be tough...holding only 3220 shares (started at 8 usd) but I will unload 80% of it after possible Nasdaq 100 inclusion and what worries me is that we should see at least on a weekly basis private deal announcements with real cash amounts displayed which is not the case...how then are we gonna beat the next earnings? This stock is gonna get some serious haircut sooner that we expect and this will be then a terrific entry point (this happened to Tesla and others, this does not mean they're not great companies).
The "house money" view is just a psychological trick to make you feel better. Consider this : a stock you decide to hold is exactly as if you are accepting to buy it at the current price every single day that you hold it.

Valuation absolutely matters. Palantir, although an exceptional company, is extremely over valued right now. Take your profits and look for a good re-entry point if you love the company that much. I love you, but PLTR is still very early. They have quietly become the #4 defense contractor behind Lockheed. They just expanded their dealings with MS, so PLTR is getting the Azure treatment. Dont get me wrong I took some off the table, but most people are still asleep on this one. It isnt going to 10X in the next 2 years, but its going to be a number greater than 2X.

I think Palantir will continue to grow. Given what they were able to do with F1 in their latest video, the applications are endless. I see it as something like Excel, PPT, or SAP...it will be essential to have to operate and it's going to happen quicker than anyone thinks.
