Some gamers do indeed have two modes. You have the energy conserving mode where only at most 50% of the true skill level is displayed, the sitting position being relaxed on their backs, which is the default setting. And then you have the true gamer mode where they lean forward towards the monitor and start playing like a pro. It is a very tiresome phase to be in so it rarely ever comes out unless stressed enough.
