Honestly, I’m with you on the EVO Ninjago sets. Lego needs to start encouraging alternative/“wrong” ways to build sets again and this is an excellent start to that idea. Also, they’re the most Ninjago that Ninjago’s been since 2019. No copying past LEGO themes; just good old jumping up, kicking back, whipping around and spinning with mechs, dragons and snakes.
I love all of the dragon, I will always love the Vikings dragons, considering you know I grew up with them, and the elves dragons, or any other creature for that matter, are just straight up some of the best ever Lego builds
God what i'd give for Lego Monster Hunter, and a lego technik Gore Magala. That Wyvern at 2:48 could easily be modified into a Rathalos. I am really out the loop, never seen most of these newer lego dragon builds before. Gonna have to look up their prices later, cuz looking mighty tempting
Actually it does have forelimbs (a wyvern has 4 limbs and a dragon typically has 6 as far as modern interpretations go), though modifying it into a Rathalos wouldn't be impossible (though I think a brick-built one is what would be done in the modern day)
Glad to see we have the same interpretation of the Jungle Dragon! I definitely see it's wings as vestigial, like it's halfway through the process of adapting to it's environment, especially with all four of its legs being equally beefy.
@@n_ex13 or maybe a sort of additional layer of protection I mean they look pretty sharp and would function well as spines though I think the vestigial wings idea makes the most sense as regular wings would be cumbersome in a densely forested area so they might have evolved to not be needed
I would love to see Lego make a real attempt at bringing out lines that compliment each other. Wouldn't it be great to do that with the "boy" and "girl" lines simultaneously? Like an updated version of the Castle/Ogre sets and at the same time a reboot of the Elves/Dragons?
It would be even better if they didn't have super obvious gender bias; there's just two thematically compatible waves. One just happens to use more pastel colors and gentle curves, and the other having a darker pallet and bolder features. I wouldn't even say they need to have moral lines, either; let some of the bright sets be bad guys, and let some of the dark sets be good guys.

The best part of Lego dragons is that one of the dragons where actually wyverns and some of them are drakes! Wyverns are sub dragons with only wings on they're arms! And drakes are wingless dragons. It's a common fact.
This is more of a new attempt to classify everything into little boxes in our modern, post-scientific, post-dnd world. Spyro music in a video about Lego Dragons? Yes so much yes! For some reason the Earth Dragon AKA Rocky was given wings in the Ninjago TV Series Also I guess the Jungle Dragon AKA Zippy has smaller wings because huge wings wouldn't work well in a jungle environment with all the trees and branches so it has smaller wings to able to manoeuvre while flying through the jungle trees. Unless the edges of its wings are like razor sharp so it can just cut through trees and branches as it flies like a Timberjack dragon from How To Train Your Dragon.

A lot of the mini figures and peices were alien to me, but now watching these videos I can see the context of all of these peices and how they were originally released.
