Probably, more accurately, he should’ve just said, “Because we just didn’t go back due to the astronomical amount of money that it costs to send people up in the first place”. +ewok king while atmosphere might play a part it's mostly the angles (due to latitude and time of day) decreasing the efficiency/output. but say there's a little bit better result on the moon from the atmosphere (lack thereof) difference then there's still a gap to bridge before we can use it here. A cable just physically won't work (it'll snap under it's own weight) but say you could have a cable it's going to be roughly 384400 km / 238900 mi and then you'd face the problem that there's a giant amount of loss due the inherent resistance. this can be mitigated some on conventional power lines with converting it first to higher voltage at lower impedence and then substations every so often but even then there's loss. on such a distance I don't see how you'd be able to end up with even a scrap at the end. now alternatively you could convert it first (which inherently will induce some loss) into e.g. microwave and then covert it back. (at another loss) on the other side. but due to the distance involved even a thin beam at the start will spread to a giant area so not all can be converted back. end of the day it'd take so much loss along the way no matter the steps that any little bit of atmosphere difference will be moot.

Okay, so, let's assume Aldrin never went to the Moon. Better yet, let's assume Apollo 11 never went to the moon. There's still Apollo 12, Apollo 13(they didn't land, but that was it's purpose so I'm adding it here), Apollo 14, Apollo 15, Apollo 16 and lastly, Apollo 17. This makes 6 more missions to the moon, yet the conspiracy theorists like to focus on A11. What about the others? The reason we haven't gone back is simple. No one suitable to direct the fake landing. Kubric's prices got too high, and he unfortunately passed away. They asked Nolan to possibly direct the next fake landing, but it didn't make any sense to keep skipping around the timeline on a moon landing, though the character development of the astronauts was outstanding. Later I understand they thought of Michael Bay, but it turns out he only wanted to film crash landings. And we they told him the moon has virtually no atmosphere and therefore no O2 and therefore no huge fireballs, he quit. Tarantino was considered but no one really thought they could sell Uma Thurman as an astronaut, plus most of the radio chatter wouldn't be ok for broadcast television. He also got weird when told astronauts couldn't go barefoot... M. Knight had some bullshit twist that we were really on the moon the whole time and earth was orbiting us but no one really knew what the fuck he was talking about. Okay, so, let's assume Aldrin never went to the Moon. Better yet, let's assume Apollo 11 never went to the moon.
There's still Apollo 12, Apollo 13(they didn't land, but that was it's purpose so I'm adding it here), Apollo 14, Apollo 15, Apollo 16 and lastly, Apollo 17. This makes 6 more missions to the moon, yet the conspiracy theorists like to focus on A11. What about the others? How come we have to rely on Buzz Aldrin's testament alone to dismantle 7 Lunar missions. He can't even speak properly ffs.

I don't think Buzz misspoke. The little girl asked "why we havent been back. and the buzz said " yes we didnt, and thats how it happened." meaning he is confirming that we haven't been back. He then goes on explaining why we havent been back.

Why is it people remove context from single sentances and then claim it is fact? It is the same nonsense people use for the star wars Mandela effect of Darth Vader not saying "Luke I am your farher" that quote just doesn't fit in the context of conversation. That's probably true, because many Flat Earthers are fundamentalist Christians, which is their motivation, and there are a greater proportion of those in the US than anywhere else. Hell, there are more people, period, in the US than in all but two other countries.

The reason we haven't gone back is simple. No one suitable to direct the fake landing.

I'm pretty sure when he said "We didn't go there" he meant it as in we didn't go to the moon again, not we have never gone to the moon, and then realized halfway through that there was a better way to explain it to a little girl.
