    Radiation is a lot more complicated than you make it out to be but in general phones are safe since there is no reason to have for example a xray emitter inside. The concerning part about this whole story is the way the government seemed to only be concerned about watts per kg which is only one of several metrics that can determine how dangerous radiation can be.

    • @LoneTiger

      Yeah lol.. look at the study that was like.. nah bro need more study cant confirm..
      Exposure was more than 20 years ago... data is from people who already developed cancers.. umm that's not how reality works you can't look at the result and assume how it happened when there isn't determinism.. no causal data exists ! if you had chips in you or were even just in a control study with constant data collection, probability and statistical significance tells you EXACTLY what is going on.
      Similar to how "waves" of energy/matter confuse people.. "the simulation" render things we weren't tracking, WHEN you look; why waste compute, do it JIT on demand. Post cancer and causal analysis doesn't give much insight for the same reason.. the past is uncertain. All this cosmological and physics drama is because of context. Requesting data about the distant stars, requests data from a past that wasn't ever rendered. So the system makes up whatever fits.. until it didn't. We asked, we got. Backwards thinking is just.. well backwards thinking.. lol
      So frustrating how easy the logic is yet bad ideas get perpetuated in the mainstream. When you just add one abstraction, a frame of reference of compute.. it is mind blowing how many previously difficult things become stupidly simple. Not easy to get there, but it will be one day, guarantee it.. we will agree the universe is just data, there is more to us than the data streams we have from these diverse complex machines that we control.. these biological machines have flexible rules and the mind leads.. the body can change to support your will. Neuroplasticity from this perspective is obvious... a software construct for data sieving based on what you care about, what you pay attention to.. brain chemistry for hyper awareness.. well duh

    🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
    00:41 📱 Radiation from smartphones is electromagnetic and falls in the nonionizing category, not having enough energy to cause DNA damage or cancer.
    02:51 ⚠️ Ionizing radiation (like X-rays) with higher frequencies and energy levels can damage DNA and increase cancer risk, but smartphones emit nonionizing radiation.
    05:13 🧪 Studies show inconsistent correlations between cell phone use and brain tumors; some studies suggest a link, but most indicate no direct association.
    06:21 🧪 Largest control study suggests no significant increase in brain or nervous system cancers due to mobile phone use, but findings remain inconclusive due to various factors.
    08:54 ⚡ The iPhone 12 exceeded the safe radiation limit set by France, prompting a ban based on principle, although the excess radiation was deemed unlikely to cause harm due to its low magnitude.

      how does the knowledge from school would be in any way sufficient, to know wehter it is dangerous or not? Only thing we ever learned was difference between ionizing and non ionizing and that after a certain power input, you will start to heat up. If the heat is too much, of course that will cause problems and possible make long lasting damage or kill you.
      But we never learned anything about any other potential effects. Humans and all living things are electrical beings. All our nerves use electricity to transmit signals to and from the brain. In the mitochondria we even use the effect known from HHO cells, where an electron that travels when Hydrogen and Oxygen react to water, is used to create energy in form of ATP, which is the most important Thing that happens in our Bodys all the time. I wouldn't be surprised if some kind of EMF or radiation, ionizing or non ionizing, is able to mess with something we don't even know of. School is not enough. Heck science until today doesn't even know it is truly 100% save

I believe they could obtain device usage data from the manufacturers and ISPs to address some of the variables they encountered in the study. This could lead to more definitive findings, but perhaps we are not meant to know. Just my own opinion, based on device usage statistics that I have seen in other studies.

Rarely is there seldom a better comparison to be made to governments of today..especially if we agree on the universally painful amounts of bureaucracy involved with both.. they all qualify under the title of a governing body, both exist to maximize profits well beyond their own abilities and perspectives in which it is safe to do so. Remember that Statistical Significance just means there’s just a low probability that the result comes from random chance happening to give a certain result. Meaning that if there are a lot of studies about something with no correlation, odds are that at least one study will, by random chance, show a small correlation that isn’t actually there.
    Also obligatory, “correlation doesn’t equal causation,” and I’m hoping these studies are factoring out the general increase in cancer rates caused by the increase in other carcinogens, for the same reason it would be dumb to assume the correlation between Marvel movies and cancer is meaningful.

Dr. Strange ain't real, but with billions of people dreaming about various things someone out there will "predict" the future by sheer random chance.
      Look at vaccine and drug trials, where some in the placebo group have symptoms, despite not being given anything. That point about chance really needs to be brought out more with these studies.

None of the frequencies used for RF Communications have enough energy to ionize an electron so, in general, the only way they can hurt the body is though heading cells (like a microwave oven does) and these devices generally do not generate enough power to do that. The energy in bluetooth earbuds is just about the lowest you will be exposed to in your life. Walking outside in the sun for 5 minutes will expose your head and ears to far more radiation than from the bluetooth earbuds in a 10 hour day. That is why bluetooth range is so short (around 20 to 60 feet), while the radiation from the sun has traveled across over 92 million miles of space and all the way through our atmosphere to reach you.

    I used to have my phone next to my head, with a YT playlist going while I fell asleep and after a couple of weeks I would always have my sleep interrupted multiple times a night by a wet pillow from sweating a lot at first and later including headaches... Now 2 months in. I moved my phone from next to my pillow to across the room and 2 days after that, I slept like I always did before. (No headache, not sweating)
    It's not related to the type of content playing, because I've had rainforest rain sounds on in the background for years at tgat point. Only the phone next to the pillow was what changed. For me it definitely had some effect in some way.

    You can't split radiation into "particle radiation" and "electromagnetic radiation". Electromagnetic radiation is a form of particle radiation where the particle is the photon. Of course, the point of the video is that phones do not emit dangerous radiation. This is very much true, as ALL the photons that come out of a phone have a million times too little energy to harm DNA or otherwise interfere with the chemistry of your body.

    Some questions that need some further research is whether or not having your personal hotspot activated throughout the day can cause any further impact. Most young people who are on the go, have their hotspot activated which is shooting 2.4 and 5Ghz frequencies straight out the phone and if often in close proximity to the owner and others in the same room. Does leaving your Wi-Fi switched do anything? What about Bluetooth and Bluetooth connected devices like Air Pods transmitting radio frequencies from ear to ear through your head? NFC? What about all the following in unison? What about sleeping with your phone really close to you? Should it be a few meters away from you? What about 4G or LTE vs 5G? Should phones have a radiation warning sensor that alerts you when your phone is emitting too much based upon how you use it? This already happens for volume, this has to be next. Thoughts?

    I would expect heating to occur instantly if the power from the iPhone is sufficient but the power level its putting out would not bother me, 200w from the two way radio antenna on my car hurts however, that's an instant burn if you touch it!

  • @kanetsb
    @kanetsb 7 месяцев назад +1

    I work for a major corporation responsible for producing antennas, base stations, network controllers and other stuff needed to run a mobile phone network. We have various labs that experiment with radio equipment in various versions (3G, 4G, 5G etc)... people literally soak this "super dangerous" radiation here when walking next to a rack with hundreds of phones antennas connected to live radio equipment. The radiation levels are waaaaay above 4W/kg. Throughout the 30 years on the market or so, there hasn't been any increase in cancer rates observed among the thousands of employees vs. the statistical norm of people not working with this stuff. These power level norms are paranoid - that is it.
    A funny bit, a friend of mine once stood in front of an array of high powered radio transmitters and someone turned it on. Now, you really shouldn't stand directly in front of those... He said he felt like there was an "invisible wind flowing through him". :) A fun experience... no cancer though (yes, I know, a single example isn't science).

    FDA: “we *believe* the current safety levels for cell phones are acceptable”.

  • @Evangelionism
    @Evangelionism 7 месяцев назад

    Everytime someone bring up a study or question, it's said that "There is inadequate data to neither support nor deny the claim", or "While multiple studies have shown correlations, there is no scientific consensus supporting the hypothesis", or "Not enough time has elapsed to deny or support this hypothesis".
    The CDC, FDA, WHO, AHA, and NIH are not wholly credible or accurate institutions most people should be basing thierpersonal health recommendations on, but they can be useful as general guides, and it's good to read and learn about the latest updates they provide.
    It's best to secure reliable (non-partisan or corpoately-biased) data on your own, which means spending a bit of money to have a research study done, or conducting on yourself. Then, conpare your findings.

    No authority or company in Sweden has told me anything about how 5G, 4G LTE or smart meters work. They couldnt tell me anything at all. The cables on 5G/4G LTE towers are usually one or two 20mm cables between the ground and the utility box. Houses are usually powered by one 20mm cable. And houses run on 230 volts, usually the lowest grid. So most likely at least between 230-460 volts and the same ampherage for these installations.
    Smart meters have no radiation safety regulations, i know this because i read 114 pages of official documentation.

    You're forgetting the most important thing. How many of these studies that have been done have some kind of funding from the makers of these phones and number two. Could you imagine the pandemonium if they came out and said cell phones hurt you? Not that people would stop using them. This kind of reminds me of back in the day when they used to say cigarettes didn't hurt you and you could smoke in hospitals. Doctors would smoke in there in offices even tell pregnant women it was okay to smoke. Meanwhile, the tobacco companies knew all along how bad it was I'm sure the same applies to a cell phone now. It's not likely nearly as bad as a cigarette, but it's still hurting you in the long run.

    1:03 It already doesn't start well, if the point is to clear the confusion. Radiation is NOT a "type of energy" but a method of propagation of energy, through an electromagnetic wave, just as convection is through a fluid, conduction is via direct contact, etc.. Thus radiation always = electromagnetic. Now what's that you say? Well that's basically light, but any part of the whole spectrum, visible or not. So luminescence is a type of radiation. The associated risk is just a matter of exposure time * whether or not the wavelength emitted packs a lot of energy to damage the object referred to. For the latter, basically the longer the wavelength, the less danger as the wave has less chance of interacting with cells anyway, because of the difference in size. So the shorter the wavelength (UV > X-rays > Gamma rays), the higher the risk.
    P.S.: visible light can also affect the body (which is why we can see each other, actually 😀) but the amount of energy it radiates is small enough (the wavelength is big enough) that your cells would die of natural death way before getting a chance to be damaged by it.
