some thing that many people don't understand is oil is way more than just energy all the plastics , fertilizer , insecticide , there are hundreds of everyday products that oil is a part of without it the world would not function we are decades away from becoming able to do without it

They also will lose a considerable amount of food imports as well in which they will not have enough to feed their population. No food and no oil = can’t function as a modern country.
