I honestly dont think a better casting choice for Homelander exists. It's insane how perfect he is for this role. Even when he messes up his lines it feels like its still part of the show.
i think mads milkensen
@@phil_gaming8477 no lmao
He's the Ryan Reynolds for Deadpool, the Johnny Depp for Jack Sparrow, and the Hugh Jackman for Wolverine. You literally can not replace him without ruining the character.
I think Bradley Cooper could do a good job but that's probably because he has a similar look to Starr.
Yeah no one else could do it like he does. Like how Jon Bernthal is just the perfect actor for The Punisher or Johnny Depp for Jack Sparrow. Some actors were just born to play certain roles
I just imagine that Giancarlo Espezito never made mistakes so they had to ask him to randomly say "Ciao for now"
They should have cut back and forth between all the actors messing up and him just staring or slowly shaking his head before saying "I don't make mistakes."
@@oddballl9128 can’t stop laughing
It's Esposito, not Espezito, he's Italian 😀
...A movie with Giancarlo Esposito and Tim Curry would have been epic
Giancarlo embracing his Italian heritage
Homelander struggling to drink milk, and the dog leaving the scene to take a shit were my favorite clips.
That dog is very polite! He doesn't just crap right besides his Co on camera. Co might break character xD 😅
@@whoever369 Even the dog is great at acting

Here’s your 1000th like…
Honestly, the dog pooping was very fitting to the style of humor of the show.
And the deep saying who was so funny
I love that milk scene because the direction must have been like "Hey Antony so we're gonna need you to drink that milk in a creepy way that reminds the audience of how your character used to breastfeed as part of that creepy Freudian sexual/maternal relationship okay action"
It wouldn't be freudian since he never had a mother. It's coping and making up lost time.
@@Connection-Lost Its Oedipus complex, its def Freudian.
@@skepticmonkey6923 Somehow, the other guy was able to answer to you one week before you started to write.
Those were actually making me laugh out loud cause you can really read in his face how weird he finds his own scene 😂
@@Connection-Lost its still freudian because hes coping and making up for a lack of mother and affection
Seeing Homelander break character is unsettling but in a good way
So rare is his character breaks that even off set he’s glassing people and throwing punches in Spain

@@lampshade87 What an amazing method acting.
Denial, anger and acceptance.
it's always so therapeutic seeing bloopers from shows that get real dark
Like Hannibal. I love watching the outtakes
reminds you that it's only an illusion yes, only an illusion..
Imagine the bloopers and outtakes for "Come and See", "Hotel Rwanda", "Schinder's List", etc...
Exactly!
The best.
They all acting so good on the show, I forgot that they're real people 😅
Well that’s what good acting should make u feel
Couldn’t agree more
Especially Homelander!
that even got him arrested
Lol 😂😂😂
Anthony Starr is so good even when he's off character he seems like he's homelander
Apparently the rest of the acting crew think he's the most similar to his role in real life so....
@@stanpines9011 plot twist: homelander is pretending to be antony

if i were to see Antony Starr in homelander outfit irl i would be nervous af, and hope that he doesnt hear my heart beat
@@thnhydf7zwse yeah even though we all know its just a character he is still so menacing
Antony Starr's bloopers are such a trip because I'm so used to feeling a sense of dread whenever Homelander is on the screen. A nice reminder that a perfectly normal and decent man is behind that terrifying psycho. XD
Who on this planet hasn't gotten drunk and done something stupid? I probably committed a dozen felonies in college and I'm the most boring person ever now.

Antony Starr trying to drink the milk cracking up is the most wholesome thing I’ve seen in 2020
You haven't seen much then
Right @Frank
Do you people even know what "wholesome" means at this point?
@@FrancisHD That was a tough year mate
I’d take me 100 tries to get it right if you told me to have an orgasmic experience from drinking milk.
They've really BECOME these characters. Idk about anyone else but I still see Butcher and Hughie when they break character. Antony Starr was BORN to play Homelander.
No, they're just who you're used to.
@@TheSCPStudio Way to ruin the fun.
This is hilarious to anyone who watched Outrageous Fortune
Antony Starr is to homelander what Ryan Reynolds is to Deadpool.
@@killer13324 Absolutely right sir
2:11 I cant get over how well this actor delivered this dumb moment. It's perfect and I laugh out loud every time I see it
It felt kinda legit for me idk why
I legit could not stop laughing when I saw this.
It’s the way his mouth doesn’t move at all for the “who” for me
Very realistic Deep moment.
Actor does a GREAT job making Deep look deep-stupid, its tremendous.
Anthony Starr’ eyes impression and aura change when he is in the role. What a great actor.
Homelander much be such a fun role to play as an actor
@@HerEvilTwin yeah who doesn’t want to be evil Superman
Imagine seeing Antony Starr dressed as Homelander in real life and you ask him to scare you with his look and words. Damn. Not sure I wouldn't piss myself.
Lol.
If I saw him in full Homelander gear I’d actually get a little nervous for a second. That’s how good he is
He would probably do that thing where he makes his mouth twitch lol
Then you'd be an idiot. He's an actor in a suit.
Ok?
It’s nice to see that Anthony was just as uncomfortable with the milk scene as we were watching it 😂
How is he EVER gonna be able to drink milk again without gurgling in laughter?
By drinking off a MILF.
...I was waiting for it to come out of his nose

I'd like to think they're like brothers in real life too
0:47 I just find it so funny that Maeve looks worried about breaking something while in a completely decimated city block
I didn't even think about that 😂

Karen and Aya are adorable in this one. 🤩
Antony Starr still looks like he’s playing psycho Homelander when he f*s up and laughs.
I just love that what's cracking Antony Starr up (I think) with the milk is the fact that he has to drink it in the creepiest way possible. Like the directors going "Drink it, but with a face that shows that it reminds you of Stilwell's breast milk"
Anthony Starr beating up a chef in Spain has gotta be my favorite blooper 😆outstanding method acting by Anthony

I would be afraid to ever say something rude near him, because I 100% belive he can shoot lasers
This makes me happy on so many levels
fgtf
2:01 Was my favorite blooper
Me telling homelander be like: There's someone made a fanfic that you're fall in love with black noir (And then he spitting out). 😂
The ciao for now at the end is hilarious. Even he seemed surprised by it
acting was so good he didn’t realize he was still human
2:50 That's a laugh.
Stormfront tripping and saying “you can live!” got me
2:27 that was actually pretty creepy lmao
Man was pretending to be Pennywise
Its weird... these wholesome moments give the Homelander actor the vibe of an actual Superman. A guy with great power who is kinda dorky and somewhat an everyday normal guy. If they didn't fire Henry Cavill, I'd love to see this actor play Captain Atom in a live-action movie with Superman.
Wait what?! They fired Henry?!
@@Spiffy-sd5ix Yup. The Flashpoint movie is going to change the timeline so that Supergirl came to Earth before Superman and becomes the main hero of the series.
Bullshit why would they fire henry? I thought he quit
@@Netherwolf6100 so they going full feminist shit eh? Yikes
From what I understand, they somehow lost the rights to his likeness
It is so hard to see Homelander laugh and not think he is about to laser someone in half
1:48 I can't with how adorable is Karen Fukuhara saying "are u okay?"
2:35 Tim Curry does the same little pre-supression smiles before ridiculous lines in Red Alert 3 and they just keep it in.. absolutely hilarious and genius. Like when he has to say. "I am going to the one place not corrupted by capitalism." *Holds back laughter very very hard* Blurts out: **SPACE!!!**
My favorite clip of his
SPAHHCE!!!
1:32 Every smile that this guy does is iconic
After seeing Homelander dismantle people for no reason, its a breath of fresh air to see him try and drink milk without laughing.
It’s funny that for how intimidating homelander is Starr has such a warm smile you can tell how much he loves his time on the show
2:12 me when someone tells me serious news about someone I don’t remember 😬
I love the little air blast they do to make it look like a-train just ran up behind someone
Antony seems so genuinely sweet and friendly in real life, which just makes it scarier when he's playing Homelander. He should really get more acting roles, he's just like CRAZY talented 👏
Well, he did get arrested for drunkenly assaulting a chef, so thats not always the case.
@@CeHee123 ppl say the chef was the one that instigated it
1:20 this aged well
0:38 absolutely love this one.
He’s just so passionate and angry at the gun. I feel this on a personal level XD
Anthony is such a ridiculously good actor. From Banshee to The Boys, I barely recognized him! How this guy isn't all over Hollywood is beyond me.
as much as Anthony Starr can send chills down your spine, Chace Crawford has the best clueless, bovine stupid look on his face
Antony Starr struggling to drink milk multiple times was funny as hell.
Anthony fighting desperately to keep his sh*t together during the milk drinking was hysterical-his suppressed grin is so infectious
3:22 Watching those insufferable characters finally switch to being real people, oh my God it’s like a weight lifted off. They play annoying *so* well, I hope they know how good of a job they do.
That is why I stopped watching it. All the characters are so insufferable. Obviously, they are Democrats.

Even when Antony breaks character, I still feel like he's in character. That's how perfect he is for the role.
homelander struggling to drink milk is so surreal.
Anthony probably has it the hardest because half the psychotic scenes that they make him do as Homelander would make me crack up constantly.
I was terrified at 1:25 like He was going to kill someone convulsively
Imagine being such a great actor that when you laugh (even in bloopers), people take a sigh of relief !!! Yes I taking about Antony Starr, that dude deserves an emmy.
Antony Starr is so good, that even in bloopers when he smiles and laughs I worry that Homelander is gonna do something really bad lol
Anthony Starr choking on the milk is hands down the funniest part.
1:23 amazing foreshadowing, bravo antony starr
I see the psychopath homelander trying to blend in as Anthony Starr.
Congratulations, You're a prophet
Homelander is so hard trying to be Anthony Star
The moment you're thinking "Now, don't laugh." your brain instantly goes "Have you ever seen air this hilarious?"
2:22 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Seeing usually sinister and unsettling characters like Homelander or Joffrey breaking is always the best lol
Anthony Starr just laughing gives me the chills!
It's strange , Antony plays such an intense , serious character but behind the scenes looks like he would be a blast to have drink and a laugh with.
I can't imagine how awkward it must be to try and drink milk that way. I wouldn't be able to do it either.
0:56 Damn she is actually pretty cute when she isn't in character.
I know bro
I had a scary dream one night that I was an intern at Vought serving coffee to Homelander, he asked for extra milk in his cup.
Bring him a cow. We need some unsettling p*rn.
Fun fact Anthony starr homelander is actually a new Zealand actor
As is Karl Urban. Nz carrying this show
Another fun fact Anthony Starr Homelander was arrested in Spain last month because he got drunk and punched a cook!

Something about karl urban telling a leaf to fuck off is very wholesome 😂
Antony Starr is so good at playing Homelander, the thought that there exists a guy in real life who looks the same as Homelander actually makes me feel uncomfortable. I cannot get over how terrifying Homelander is and how incredibly well Starr portrays him.
Anthony Starr is so scary that even his bloopers as Homelander look in-character, and that if anybody else laughs he’s going to eye laser blast them 😂
This is the guy I want as Mr. Perfect Cell in a live action DBZ
Homelander as Perfect Cell? If he can do the voice, I can see it
I love how everyone is super nice in these outtakes.
It's nice to see the characters having fun

I want to watch this, but haven't finished season 2 yet..
3:29 that is the guy from the Key&Peele sketch with the "Terries on the Airplane". Sklounts them Skroutz!
Homelander though, what an absolutely perfect actor for this role.
There is a rumor the first actor they wanted to play Homelander was Justin Timberlake.

i love watching this.. almost like healing process that u do after watching horror movies then u look up for behind the scene to feel better... the acting and writing is off the charts...
After hearing someone say that this show is just a camera crew filming the life of Karl Urban I'm never gonna look at it the same way again
Anthony Starr is just the perfect role. His resting face is terrifying
1:20 Homelander, even in bloopers, seems so in-character and something that could well be used in actual footage
3:39 I fricking loved this art 👏👏👏👏
For me, the best part of Antony Starr's acting is his facial expressions as Homelander. That makes his bloopers all the funnier.
It felt so relieving to watch this that I think I'm going to have to do this more often. A blooper reel makes it so much easier to watch a show like this without succumbing to despair.
I feel like anytime Antony Starr breaks character he's just going to get pissed and Lase anything in a 50 mile radius
I like watching behind the scenes since I was a kid, and it never broke my immersion. But now watching Antony Starr breaking the character hits different. He's so good that for me homelander is real.
You could honestly take any one of Anthony's outtakes, add them to the series and no-one would think it was an outtake.
Seeing Antony Starr cracking up by drinking milk is absolutely amazing and hilarious thing I've ever seen in 2022.
So good seeing Butcher smiling! ❤️
I love how Antony Starr comes off as a lovable goofball while the character he plays is a deranged psychopath
Love how the dog excused himself. "Sorry guys, I really just gotta go"
The acting is so good, and the show is so tense and full of anxiety, it's genuinely nice to see these outtakes so you can remember. No, these guys don't actually hate each others guts.
1:50 On one day the Joker would kill a man because he liked his shoelaces.
