The "drawer" is probably to save manufacturing costs. They can just manufacture the same base and swap out the name plate for different franchises/characters.

Bruh the symbol on the back of Boruto's jacket is the Uzumaki clan's crest. There's a lot of history behind why it's on all the Shinobi vests and stuff, and I recommend doing some research on it. Just thought someone might appreciate the info :)
