I agree Tim needs to write more. I love the songs he contributes more of the theme too. Face in the Wind and Life’s Not a Race are such fantastic songs

I think my main issue is the chorus has that typical pop quick talk thing thats in SO many current pop songs. Its so odd honestly because for years now half the album is UNREAL and the other half are sort of these attempts at maintaining some sort of relevance. These hybrid 311/pop songs like dodging raindrops.

@@michaelquentin3782 it's more of a demographics thing, 311 is not marketed to younger audiences somehow, which is prob. the record company decision. There is no longer a 'hit radio' as it used to be before as radio listeners are going downhill due to streaming. If that song had a different artist name it would have been a major hit. But it really shows how these guys are diverse and are not worried about adventuring into songs like that with a great result

It's definitely not anything we haven't heard from the band before at this point. If this album ends up continuing the sound of Mosaic and Voyager, ain't nothin wrong with that.
311 doesn't repeat. They come original every single time.
From my personal intuitive conclusion, this album will be a blend of BLUE, DTOM, and STEREOLITHIC.

Very mediocre. I appreciate that they want to still make new songs. But I would much rather 311 retire on creation, and just ride the rest of their musical journey out with their solid catalogue that they already have. Just have fun and improvise the live sessions with the crowds like it was 94-98. Nick really doesn't sound like himself, he sounds like somebody else.
With all due respect, I don't really agree with one thing that you've typed above. It's not their best, but I'll take it over nothing.
Nick unfortunately hasn’t sounded the same since 2001, now it’s amplified
@gflowers_ I completely disagree. His vocal range Is more tuned. Compare it to 1st album. His voice is much better now.
