Thank you for taking the time to do this!!! I was introduced to this travel agency by watching the founder Chidi Ashley on youtube. I've always wanted to visit Bali and her videos were all in the algorithm for whenever I would look up travel content there. I know she also built her own home there and to be under 30 years old at the time and from a different country it was inspiring to see what that journey looked like.
I can agree that the cost of paying a travel agency vs booking your own accommodations & activities through her company specifically is expensive especially for a country that is very inexpensive to travel to, hence why I haven't used her services yet. Things change i remember she was more hands on with the company by being in attendance on the trips that are posted on RUclips but I know now she is married and possibly starting her own family....smh
Yes, a lot of the videos I see about Luxe Tribes are brand trips, paid influencers, or content created by the company. I wanted to provide my genuine experience for all those considering booking a trip with them. Thanks for watching!
thank you so much for this review! i’ve always wanted to give luxe tribes a try but uh😬
The more you know! Hopefully this video is helpful for your decision-making process.
When I visited Paris for the 1st time in 2019 I can say that I couldn't find ANY hotels that weren't very small like a NYC studio. I did extensive research of reviews of many hotels and ALL were said to be small. I stayed in 2 hotels in Paris and the hotel I stayed in which was near to Disney world was spacious and very nice. The hotel had a bedroom sperate away from the common area & full kitchenette.
Relais Spa Val d'Europe
1 Rue des Grands Prés, 77700 Chessy, France.
Very nice hotel I'd give it 5 stars only thing is that it isn't near much other than Disney that i knew of at the time. It's important to do your own research.
Many hotels don't supply wash clothes to bath, I had to end up buying a loofah sponge smh 🙄
Omg YES, the people at our hotel had no idea what a wash cloth was. We were in there cutting up their towels to improvise. Luckily I did bring my own loofah from home because you never know. 🤷🏽♀️ Glad I did.
And I have heard that everything is small in Paris (even the elevators, I could barely fit my suitcases). If that were the case our travel agent should have mentioned that to us to help manage our expectations or at least ensure we all had nice views. I wouldn’t mind a small room if I woke up looking at the Eiffel Tower every morning. But for a “luxury” trip our accommodations wasn’t it 🙅🏽♀️
All I can do is shake my head, I'm sorry that was your experience with this travel agency. It really just takes a lot of time if you can afford that to research where you are going using many different sources to fill up your internerary for each day. I reccomend paying for the majority of everything in advance so you can stick to a schedule and not use your time trying to figure things out once you arrive, that worked great for me on two solo trips abroad and in the states.
My luggage kicked my butt because of the lack of elevators and escalators but everyone was very friendly and automatically offered help, I was very surprised!!!
